(Sapphire's POV)

So this happened a long time ago. I was at my house when Ruby comes barging in through the door. He closed the door behind him as he sits beside me on the couch. He looks at me and by the looks of him, he seems excited and out of breath.

"What's going on?" I ask.

Ruby smiles. "Would you keep it a secret?" I nod and he continues to speak. "Alright. So there's this girl out there and I REALLY REALLY like her! Oh, she speaks beauty yet she doesn't know it!"

I was shocked. My heart fell into pieces. He... liked someone? Not me? I fight the tears but I couldn't win the battle. The tears starts falling onto my cheeks.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"IDIOT!" I yell. "I thought ya knew..."

"Huh? Y'know, it's not nice to interrupt!"

That brought the fire inside of me to flare even more. "It's not nice to ignore someone's love for ya!"

"Just let me finish!" He says. I nod in defeat. "Okay, so she's got sky blue eyes, one of a kind hair, kinda has a wild personality, and I've known her for a long time. I saved her from-"

"Is it me?!" I hopefully ask. I couldn't help but interrupt. All of these traits represent me. Please, Ruby... love me.

Ruby laughs. "You cried for nothing! That's my answer..." 

I squeeze Ruby as tightly as I can. 

"I LOVE YA, RUBY!!" I yell.

"Not as much as I love you!" He responds.

This was a scrapped idea but I thought of putting this out there! The writing's bad because this was one of my first stories for this book!
