in which aspiring musician, ivory fielding, falls head over heels with her childhood best friend, cole walter, only to have her heart broken when he does everything but love her back.

OR.

ivory fielding finally decides to stop holding out hope for cole walter to naturally reciprocate her feelings after a year of them hooking up once at a party, consequently coming to the firm conclusion that she'd soon get him back when she creates a genius plan to make him jealous.

IVORY FIELDING WASN'T A stranger to unrequited love. In fact, she would classify herself as the poster girl for the term.

For seventeen years, she was immeasurably drawn to Cole Walter, one of the many Walter boys that resided in the sizeable property next door, and for seventeen years, the pair were utterly inseparable.

Everyone in town had steadfastly decided that the duo would eventually get married when they matured. Settle down, have kids, and live out their perfectly ordinary lives, just as their parents had done. Their relationship was supposed to just fall into place, like the final piece of a puzzle comfortably slotting into it's designated position, but what none of them had ever expected, however, was for the two to suddenly rush their, previously established, unspoken linear coarse of their relationship.

A year prior, Ivory expected Cole to reciprocate her feelings for him when they kissed at a party, however to Ivory's dismay, Cole just seemed to pretend that it never happened, effectively crushing the girl's heart and dispelling any hope for them to ever form a romantic relationship. Ivory justified the fact by internally convincing herself that, of course they couldn't, she was one of Cole's only genuine friends, and vice versa. Their platonic relationship just...worked.

At least one good thing had come out of Ivory's broken heart, however; several songs that could effectively kickstart her career in music, which she intended to pursue after high school, but despite her newfound growth in the music world, Ivory still could not get the thought of Cole Walter out of her conflicted brain.

Frustrated with Cole's lack of reciprocity, and simultaneous new interest in ruthless mean girl, Kylie Beauregard, Ivory and her best friend, Lyra Ingram, decide to formulate an elaborate plan to win him over; joining forces with their other friend and local heartthrob, Tyler Keating, to get both Ivory and Tyler's respective crushes back.
