Audrey hated Georgiana. Maybe it was because Georgie stole her boyfriend or simply because she was the daughter of a villain, but the princess had never felt so much disdain for anyone before — not even Mal. She couldn't stand how everyone at Auradon Prep seemed to be wrapped around her finger. Georgie was always running around and complimenting people and offering to help whenever she could. Audrey couldn't stand how she was now the star of the track team, and the way that Ben would smile when Georgie walked in the room made Audrey want to throw up.

Audrey would do just about anything to tear Georgie down from the throne all those at their school had put her and the other villain kids on. So, when she caught the object of her rage wandering the halls after curfew, she followed.

She removed her heels and quietly followed Georgie, not wanting to be heard. Audrey was hoping to catch her doing something evil so that she could prove she wasn't as innocent as everyone thought. Breaking curfew alone wasn't a bad enough action — Audrey and just about every student at Auradon had done as much. Georgie had to be caught doing something bad, hopefully, bad enough to be sent back to the Isle of the Lost. If so, all of Audrey's problems would disappear along with Georgie.

However, Audrey's hope that Georgie would be doing something nefarious vanished when they ended up at the library. Audrey couldn't help but roll her eyes. What kind of loser snuck out just so she could read? She was about to give up and return to her room, but then Georgie spoke.

"Hey, Ben," she greeted, smiling softly at him. "Sorry, I'm a few minutes late. Evie and I were asking Mal all about her date with Neville."

"Did she have fun?" he asked.

Audrey peered through the bookshelves, trying to get a good look at Ben. Sneaking out to meet the future king of Auradon was certainly more scandalous. She decided to wait until they were in a more compromising position before going and getting Fairy Godmother.

"I mean, she didn't want to admit it, but she loved it. And she really likes Neville, I think. She said he brought her to the lake where you took me."

Ben cleared his throat while spreading a blanket on the ground for them to sit on. "Uh, yeah. I suggested he take her to the Enchanted Lake. You had said you'd never seen somewhere so beautiful while living on the Isle, so I thought she'd like it too."

Georgie smiled from how thoughtful he was. "Well, she did. Although you could've told Neville she couldn't swim either. Sounds like he pulled the exact same stunt you did. Even brought her one of those wishing rocks too."

She was too busy looking through a pile of books to notice the relieved look on Ben's face when she mentioned that Neville had gone swimming in the lake.

"Guess it slipped my mind," he said, shrugging. "So, I was thinking that tonight, we could try a book with one of your friends' parents in it. Take your pick — Aladdin, Snow White, 101 Dalmaitons, or Sleeping Beauty."

Georgie thought it over as she looked at the covers of the books. Sure, she knew the stories from the villains' perspectives. She decided to start with the one that everyone was scared of. Maleficent. She picked up the book and held it up.

"Fun fact!" Georgie said as they sat next to each other on the blanket. "Maleficent was one of the first words I learned to spell. When she found out that Evie was going to start teaching me to read earlier this year, she insisted that I learn how to write her name in order to help Mal cover the Isle in graffiti."

Ben laughed while taking the book from Georgie. She leaned against him as he opened it up to the first page. "Even if you didn't know how to spell it, you're getting much better at sight-reading. I'm sure you would've figured it out."

As Georgie and Ben stayed wrapped in each other's arms as they read, Audrey slowly crept out of the library with her mind running a mile a minute. This was better than anything she could've hoped for. Georgiana Gaston couldn't read, and no one in school knew it. But that wouldn't be for long. Georgie had just unknowingly handed Audrey a loaded gun. All she had to do was wait for the opportune moment before pulling the trigger.

The next day at school was rather standard. The five villain kids went to their classes. All day, Georgie had noticed Audrey looking at her with a wicked smirk on her face, but she had no clue why. When she brought it up to the others, Mal just told her to ignore it. But if Audrey caused any problems, she would handle her with her spellbook.

When they got to their Remideial Goodness 101 Class, Fairy Godmother greeted them with a surprise before the class could even begin.

"Children, excuse me," she said, getting their attention. Georgie looked up from the English notes she had been carefully studying. "Um, as you know, uh, this Sunday is Family Day here at Auradon Prep. And because your parents can't be here due to, uh, distance, we've arranged for a special treat."

They all shared a look as Fairy Godmother walked up to a TV she had set up. She pressed a button and then the TV turned on. Maleficent's face appeared, taking up the entire screen as she got too close to the camera.

"I don't see anything, nor do I hear," Maleficent muttered on her end.

The five of them shared surprised looks before Fairy Godmother urged them over. Maleficent backed away from the camera, revealing Jafar, Cruella De Vil, and the Evil Queen. As Georgie got up slowly from the table, she moved to Jay's side. He held her hand, knowing that the last thing she wanted to see was her father on that screen.

While the kids crowded around the TV, they watched as the parents tried to figure out how to work the system.

"Press enter," Jafar suggested.

"Can I please see a remote?" Maleficent shouted as Evil Queen handed her one.

"I don't think your dad's there," Jay whispered in Georgie's ear. She visibly relaxed, though kept a firm grip on Jay. Even with him trapped on an island, Jay's instincts told him to keep protecting Georgie from Gaston.

"Is this thing on? Ugh, It's broken. Ugh! I hate electronic equip — Oh!" Maleficent stopped her complaining as they finally got the camera and TV to work.

"Evie, it's Mommy," Evil Queen greeted, waving at her daughter through the screen. "Oh! Look how beautiful. Oh, you know what they say, the poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

"Don't you mean the weeds?" Maleficent teased.

"Who's the old bat?" Cruella asked, pointing to Fairy Godmother.

"This is Fairy Godmother," Mal told them.

"Still doing tricks with eggplants?" Maleficent asked. The four villains snickered as Fairy Godmother frowned.

"I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage."

"You really couldn't give Cinderella till one a.m.? I mean, really. What, the hamsters had to be back on their little wheels?"

"They were mice! They were not—" Fairy Godmother turned to the kids as she insisted. "They were mice. They were not..."

"Thank you, so much. Thank you," Mal said before gently ushering Fairy Godmother out of view of the TV. Then she stepped up and spoke to her mother. "Hi, mom."

"Mal!" Maleficent exclaimed, then she tried to calm down a little bit. "I m - miss you."

"You children are never far from our thoughts," Jafar added.

"How long must Mommy wait to see you?" Maleficent asked eagerly.

"Um, there's a big Coronation coming up. I think sometime probably after that," Mal answers.

"When?"

"Friday, ten a.m.," Mal answered quickly.

Georgie bit her lip and sighed. They were talking about the wand. She hadn't heard anything from her friends about their plan since their first night in Auradon. Clearly, they meant to steal it at the Coronation. Her mood fell, realizing that she wouldn't have much more time at Auradon. She wouldn't have much more time with Ben.

"You sure I can't see you before that? I don't know what I'll do If I don't get my hands on that magic wan — You! You little nugget that I love so much," Maleficent said, quickly covering her mistake.

"Yes, I completely understand, Mother," Mal said, forcing a smile so that Fairy Godmother wouldn't get suspicious.

"Carlos, is that a dog?" Cruella asked, suddenly moving her face closer to the camera. Georgie glanced at Carlos, who was petting Dude in his arms. Then Cruella started speaking to the stuffed dog around her neck. "Oh, yes, yes, baby, I do understand. It would make the perfect size for earmuffs."

"He's the perfect size for a pet!" Carlos snapped. Cruella gasped, not used to him standing up for himself. "This dog loves me, and I love him. And FYI, your dog is stuffed! So give it a rest."

"Oh-ho! Burn!" Jafar said while laughing.

"Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!" Cruella told him.

"People who talk to stuffed animals shouldn't throw stones."

"Oh, well, people who sell toasters shouldn't use mixed metaphors."

"Enough!"

Jay let go of Georgie's hand and moved forward to turn the TV off. All the kids looked to the floor with upset looks. Their parents couldn't even stop arguing for a few seconds to talk to their children, that they haven't seen in weeks.

"I'm so sorry," Fairy Godmother said softly.

"Thanks for the special treat," Jay told her, giving her a tight smile.

"Of course." Before they could all leave, Fairy Godmother stopped Georgie. "Georgiana, dear, would you mind staying behind for a moment?"

She nodded and waved goodbye to her friends as they got their bags and left. After they were gone, she turned to Fairy Godmother expectantly.

"Yes, Fairy Godmother?" Georgie asked nervously. "Have I done something wrong?"

"Oh, of course not," she assured her, smiling. "I'm sure you noticed your father's absence from the video call."

Georgie sighed and nodded her head. "Yes, but trust me, I'm really glad he wasn't there."

"I know. Prince Ben specifically requested that he not be invited to participate," she told her. Georgie raised her eyebrow, surprised. "We've arranged something else for you—"

"Have I missed it?" They both turned to see Ben rushing into the classroom.

"Miss what?" Georgie asked, still confused.

"Right on time, your majesty," Fairy Godmother told him, smiling. "Georgiana, for Family Day, Ben has arranged for a video call with your brother, Gil."

Georgie's face lit up and she grinned up at Ben. "Seriously?" She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly, which he happily returned.

Ben placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head before turning her to face the TV. Fairy Godmother turned the TV back on and they were greeted with the clear image of Gil. Like with the parents, he too was having trouble setting up the technology.

"Gil," Georgie whispered, stepping forward. She placed her hand on the screen as she looked at him.

"Hey, Mister, how do I make this thing work?" Gil asked, looking off-screen.

They heard a sigh before a man in a suit took the remote from Gil. He pressed a few buttons on the remote and Gil's screen turned on. He saw Georgie and sat forward excitedly.

"Georgie!" he exclaimed, grinning. "It's working! I can totally see you."

"I can see you too, Gil," she said, matching his grin. She glanced back at Ben and took his hand, pulling him closer to the camera. "Gil, this is Ben. He's the one that got us all here and set up the video call!"

"Thanks so much, dude," Gil told him. "I really miss George, but I know it's better for her over there with you."

"You're welcome," Ben said, nodding politely. Then he turned to Georgie. "I'll leave you with your brother. I've got a lot of things to do for Family Day and the Coronation, so I won't see you in English class later. Have fun talking with your brother and I'll see you tonight."

"Thank you," Georgie said, hugging him one more time. Then she turned back to her brother on the screen. "I miss you so much, Gil. W - what all have you been doing?"

"Well, I moved out of the house. I'm sharing a room with Harry on Uma's ship," he explained. "Oh, do you wanna see him too? Just a sec. HARRY! GET DOWN HERE!"

Georgie smiled as her brother shouted for his best friend. It was just a few seconds before Harry Hook ran into the room and joined Gil's side. He smirked when he saw Georgie through the screen.

"There's the little goodie-two-shoes," he greeted.

"Hi, Harry," Georgie said, chuckling. "It's good to see you. And thanks for letting Gil stay with you."

"Of course," Harry said, shrugging his hospitality off as nothing.

"So, what's it like there, Georgie?" Gil asked. "I mean, have you gotten in any trouble or anything?"

Harry scoffed. "Yeah right. Like George would ever do anything to get in trouble."

"No, I've not gotten in trouble," she said, chuckling. "None of us have, really. I mean, Jay went around stealing for the first few days, but he's calmed down. Mal has been surprisingly tame as well."

"Mal?" Harry questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Georgie rolled her eyes. "You've got some competition, Harry. She's found herself a boyfriend."

Harry pouted at the news, while Gil laughed at him. Then he looked back at Georgie. "So, you're, like, going to school and everything?"

"Yup," she said, nodding. "I like it a lot, but it's pretty hard. Evie helps me study though." Really, all four of them helped Evie cheat in class, but Fairy Godmother was in the room, so she couldn't tell the boys that.

"Ooh, what's the food like?"

"Do you have rules to follow?"

"Have you met Peter Pan's kid?"

Fairy Godmother allowed Georgie to miss her next class as she stayed and talked to Gil and Harry. She had looked so happy as she talked adamantly to her brother, and Fairy Godmother couldn't bring herself to put it to an end, especially after the disaster of the first video call. As she studied Georgie, for the first time, Fairy Godmother truly felt like Ben's proclamation could be a success. But only time would tell.
