AURADON

Auradon Prep was absolutely huge. Georgiana couldn't believe they had turned a whole castle into a school. Outside was a welcoming committee and everything. It wasn't a large group, admittedly, but there was a marching band playing music that they could faintly hear through the car.

Soon the car came to a stop and the driver walked around to open the door. Carlos and Jay, who weren't paying attention because they were too busy arguing, fell out of the car and onto the floor. Their shouting and fighting quickly caused the band to stop playing and the cheering to cease. Georgie rolled her eyes and the boys kept arguing over a scarf.

"Oh! Ah! Ow! Stop! You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?" Carlos asked, trying to pull the scarf away.

Evie was the next to step out, and Mal quickly followed. Both looked at the boys in slight annoyance but stepped to the side.

"Cause you want it!" Jay shouted, trying to knock Carlos off of him. Neither boys had noticed that they were making a scene, much to Georgie's annoyance.

"No! Give it to me! Ow! Let go!" Carlos whined.

Georgiana stepped out of the limo and stood over the two fighting boys, feeling a bit embarrassed. The band suddenly parted and an older woman walked up to them with a smile on her face. She was wearing a blue dress with a big ugly pink bow on the front of it. There were two other people behind her, but Georgie focused back on the fighting boys.

"Guys!" Georgie snapped. She then kicked both of them to make sure they paid attention before stepping to the side.

"We have an audience," Mal muttered, flashing a very fake smile.

Jay and Carlos quickly stopped fighting and got to their feet, both standing on either side of Georgie.

"Leave it like you found it!" the woman said with a big grin, but she quickly dropped it. "And by that, I mean just leave it."

Georgiana smirked as Jay threw the armful of stuff he had taken back in the limo. Then he grabbed the scarf from Carlos and returned it too.

With the fighting over, Georgiana took a second and looked around. Everything was so green and beautiful and fresh. It looked so different from the Isle and she couldn't even attempt to hide the look of wonder on her face. She didn't know the world could be so pretty.

She felt someone watching her and looked back over at the group. Her dark eyes met a set of light blue ones standing behind the woman with the ugly bow. He had a handsome face, that was for sure. But when he smiled at her, she quickly looked away and moved closer to her friends.

Shyness washed over her, and she didn't know why she was suddenly so conscious of her appearance. She'd never cared what she looked like on the Isle, but Georgie knew she must've not looked like much in a simple red shirt tucked into a pleated black skirt, her hair a frizzy mess.

"Hello, foxy," Jay said, stepping to the front of the group. Georgie noticed that he was watching the other girl, who stood next to the boy. She was beautiful, Georgiana noted, with wonderful, wavy hair and a nice dress. Of course, Jay would hit on her at first chance. "The name's Jay."

The girl let out a giggle, but it was forced and nervous, making Georgie chuckle. That was generally the reaction that Jay got on the Isle.

The older woman leaned in front of the other one, catching their attention. "Welcome to Auradon Prep. I'm Fairy Godmother, Headmistress."

"The fairy godmother?" Mal asked, suddenly very interested. "As in, 'Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo'?"

Georgie shared a look with Carlos. Looks like finding Fairy Godmother and her wand just got a lot easier.

"Bibbidi-bobbidi. You know it," Fairy Godmother said with a smile.

"Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared out of nowhere with that sparkly wand and warm smile," Mal said, laying on a fake nice tone. "And that sparkling wand."

Way to be obvious, Georgiana thought, rolling her eyes. She leaned forward and pinched Mal's arm, trying to get her to stop. Mal squirmed but kept her fake smile up.

"That was a long time ago. And as I always say, don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future," she replied.

Then the boy that had been watching Georgie stepped up. "It's so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben."

The girl quickly interrupted. "Prince Benjamin. Soon to be king."

That was all it took for Evie to step up. "You had me at prince," she said with an impossibly big smile. "My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess."

"The evil queen has no royal status here and neither do you," the girl said, which made Evie's smile fall and she stepped back. Georgie reached over and grabbed Evie's hand in a comforting manner, which she appreciated.

"This is Audrey," Ben introduced.

"Princess Audrey," she corrected. Then she grabbed his hand. "His girlfriend. Right, Bennyboo?"

Georgiana couldn't help but snicker at the nickname. She also noticed that Bennyboo himself didn't look too fond of it either.

Interesting.

Fairy Godmother grabbed onto their linked hands. "Ben and Audrey are going to show you all around, and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut." She suddenly pulled their hands apart and waved her own in a grand gesture, startling the villain kids. "But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews."

Then Fairy Godmother exited the courtyard with the band following behind. There was a moment of uncomfortable silence before Ben walked up to the group.

"It is so, so, so good to finally me–meet you all." Walking up to Jay first had been a mistake. Instead of shaking Ben's hand, he delivered a punch to his chest that no doubt hurt. Ben quickly stepped back and moved to Mal. He barely touched her hand before she snatched it back and looked away.

"This is a momentous occasion, and one that I hope will go down in history," he said, shaking Carlos' hands, which were dirty. Ben brought his hand up to his mouth and tasted the candy. "Is that chocolate?"

Georgiana made a face, finally having a name to call the candy she didn't like. Ben next shook Evie's hand, who moved closer to him and just stared at his face. Audrey walked up behind Ben and kept her eyes on Evie.

"As the day our two peoples began to heal."

He then moved onto Georgiana, who shook his hand and politely smiled like a normal person. Ben was already smiling but she could have sworn it got bigger as he looked down on her. He also held her hand a tad bit longer than the others. She thought he had nice eyes, but quickly banished that thought.

"Or the day that you showed five peoples where the bathrooms are," Mal said, gaining Ben's attention. Jay walked behind the others and joined Georgie's side. The two leaned against each other and watched.

"A little bit over the top?" he asked.

"A little more than a little bit," Georgie muttered to Jay, though the others heard.

Ben looked back over to her, still smiling. He smiled a lot, and it didn't look fake or anything. Georgie found it odd. "Well, so much for my first impression."

Audrey, who didn't quite like how nice her boyfriend was being to the new kids, stepped up to Mal.

"Hey! You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you?" she asked, tilting her head. "Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. Oh, my mom's Aurora. Sleeping–"

"–Beauty!" Mal finished. "Yeah, I've heard the name. You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world but my mother to their stupid christening."

"Water under the bridge."

"Totes!"

Both girls let out fake high-pitched laughs. The tension was thick between the two and any one of them looking on could tell.

"Okay! So, how about a tour?" Ben asked, breaking Audrey and Mal apart. "Yeah? Auradon prep, originally built over three hundred years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king."

As they moved through the courtyard and closer to the school, Ben paused at a golden statue of King Adam, his father. Ben clapped his hands twice and the statue magically transformed into a beast.

So that was the man that her father went on and on about. He looked much more stronger and imposing than Gaston made him seem.

Georgiana couldn't look at in awe for too long because Carlos shrieked in fear before he flung himself at her and Jay. Jay caught the small boy's torso while Georgie held his legs.

"Carlos, It's okay," Ben assured him. "My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible."

"Does he shed much?" Georgie couldn't help but ask as she stared up at the statue.

"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch."

Georgie sniggered at his joke, and even Mal couldn't help but smirk. Ben smiled at the both of them before Audrey grabbed his arm and they continued the tour. Georgie dropped Carlos' legs and Jay shoved him off, and they followed after.

"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon?" Mal asked, not straying from the mission. "Like wands and things like that?"

Ben nodded, glad that Mal was taking some interest in Auradon's history. "Yeah, it exists of course, but it's pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."

"Who happened to be kings and queens."

"That's true," Audrey jumped in, smiling proudly. "Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years."

Georgie couldn't help but roll her eyes as Audrey boasted. "So does Evie's – and Mal's for that matter. I think thousands of years of Fae blood is something to be proud of too."

Mal gave Georgie an appreciative look, but it was small and if a person didn't really know Mal, they would have thought she looked indifferent. Audrey, however, did not appreciate that little fact. She glared fiercely at Georgie.

"Well, it's not like that matters for you all. And it's not like you have royal blood. You're just the daughter of a deranged psycho who tried to murder King Adam and kidnap Queen Belle. Ben's parents."

As Audrey verbally attacked Georgie, she stepped closer, which had been a mistake. Almost in sync with each other, Jay, Mal, Evie, and Carlos moved in front of Georgie in a protective manner, as if Audrey could do her any harm.

Audrey squeaked and quickly moved behind Ben, now afraid of them and what they might do. Georgiana sighed and placed a hand on Jay's shoulder, who was at the front.

"It's alright."

And just as quickly the group spread apart again. It was puzzling to Ben and he couldn't figure out why they had all reacted that way to Audrey.

"It's not like that's brand new information, but thank you, Audrey, for the refresher." Georgiana kept her voice level and only smiled at Audrey, which she saw clearly annoyed her. She knew she wanted a reaction, but Georgie wasn't going to give her one. "Love the dress by the way. You look really pretty. I wish we had things like that on the Isle."

Complimenting her only seemed to make Audrey angrier. She clutched onto Ben's arm even harder, and it was starting to hurt. He figured it would be a good time to separate his girlfriend from the new kids. Seeing two people coming down the stairs, he saw his chance.

"Doug. Neville! Guys, come down."

They all turned to the stairs and saw two boys coming their way. One was pasty and much shorter than the other. He was dressed in a marching band uniform and had glasses perched on his nose. The other boy hard dark skin and towered over him, wearing just a plain green button-down tucked into khakis. He was quite handsome, Georgiana had to admit, and secretly Mal thought so too.

Once the two boys reached them, Ben clapped the one in the band uniform on the back. "This is Doug." Then he motioned to the other boy, who slung his arm around the Prince's shoulder. In doing so, he moved Audrey from his side, which made her roll her eyes. It seemed she didn't like him very much. "And this is Neville. Doug's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms. I'll see you later, okay? And If there is anything you need, feel free to–"

"–Ask Doug," Audrey snapped before dragging Ben away.

Doug seemed to be nervous in the prescience of the villain kids as he kept his eyes on the ground, but Neville smiled at them all.

"Hello. My name's Neville Naveen, Ben's closest friend and most trusted royal advisor."

"Is that supposed to impress us?" Mal asked. Their eyes met and Georgie and Evie took note of how they each looked the other up and down.

Neville smirked at Mal before taking a step closer. "Depends on who I'm impressing. And you would be?"

After a few silent moments of Mal just smirking at him, Georgie sighed. "That's Mal."

Neville hardly glanced at Georgie and smiled. "Mal," he repeated the name. "Well, I hope I'll be seeing you around, Mal."

Neville boldly winked at her before leaving, going in the same direction as Ben and Audrey. On his way, he waved at the others as a way of saying goodbye.

"I think he's almost as bold as Jay," Georgiana muttered, watching him go. Then the kids turned to Doug, who seemed to have calmed down a little but not much.

"Hi, guys," he greeted. "I'm Dopey's son. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and – Heigh-ho!"

He trailed off and then released a surprise noise when he came face to face with Evie and all her beauty. She gave him a dazzling smile and stuck out her hand.

"Evie. Evil Queen's daughter."

Doug took a moment to regain his thoughts and get back on track, but not without blushing as he spoke.

"Okay. So about your classes, I, uh, put in the requirements already... History of Woodsmen and Pirates, Safety Rules for the Internet, and, uh, Remedial Goodness 101."

"Let me guess. New class?" Mal asked, giving him an unamused smile. Then she ignored him. "Come on, guys, let's go find our dorms."

Georgiana linked arms with Evie and they followed Mal up the stairs.

"Oh, uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys," Doug said, pointing in the opposite direction. Mal paused, momentarily embarrassed before they continued on the right way.

As they passed by Doug again, Carlos heard him muttering the names of the Seven Dwarves to himself trying to remember who he forgot.

"Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..."

"Sneezy!" Carlos happily chimed in before following his friends.
