Let's start with some biographic stuff about her.

Melanie Susan Potier, a.k.a. "Suki."

Suki Potier was an English model.

As a teenager, she modeled for all the great English designers. At the age of 18, Suki was dating Guinness heir Tara Browne, who was separated from his then-wife.

On December 18, 1966, Suki was a passenger in Tara's Lotus Elan when he drove through South Kensington at high speed, colliding with a parked lorry and was killed instantly. Suki was not injured. Part of The Beatles song, "A Day in the Life" is based on this incident.

It was this tragedy that led her to Rolling Stones musician Brian Jones. Suki said, "He gave me a shoulder to cry on and he picked up the pieces and made me feel a woman again". The two dated for approximately two years.

Suki moved in with 27-year-old Brian in the last few months before his death to a fifteenth century farmhouse, which was once the home of AA Milne, creator of the Winnie the Pooh stories. It was there in the swimming pool that Brian, who had by then left the Rolling Stones, drowned mysteriously.

Suki was shattered by Brian's death. She remained friends with the Rolling Stones though.

In the Seventies, Suki married a Hong Kong businessman with whom she had two daughters. On June 23, 1981, while in Portugal, Suki and her husband were killed in an automobile accident.

She looks really similar to Anita and a lot of people confuse them, which annoys me horrible. Suki was such a sweet person and she really loved Brian. You find lots of quotes by her who are just so heartbreaking... and in my opinion she looks prettier. Her face is far gentler than Anita's for example.

There goes my  neutrality.😅 Sorry but I've seen poor Suki so often labeled as Anita and called awful things that I just can't stand it anymore... Then again I've seen people confuse Brian with Anita which was even more idk irritating? Not everyone who is blond is Anita, okay? Please take a moment and look at the picture. Thanks.

Okay back to Suki.

I'll think for once I keep it short, because there's like with Anita a lot what can be said about her and I'll probably talk about that in a further chapter.

So let's end this with a quote by her about Brian, she made shortly after he had died, which I think is probably a more accurate description of him than most of the others we have seen until now :

"I loved him deeply. He was so much more than people ever knew or saw. He could be a right bastard at times, lashing out irrationally at the people, who loved him, but all of that was only on the surface. He'd been hurt by his parents as a child and was wounded. All he ever wanted was the simple love and comfort of a home and a family, but like an old dog, he had been kicked so long and so hard that all of that was buried underneath years of hurt and resentment..."
