We danced for what felt like hours, body's intertwined. We smiled and giggled as we twirled around the modern kitchen apartment in a flirtatious manner. I rest my head on his shoulder as we continued to sway together. Gerard dropped one hand from my waist and brushed his fingers against my cheek as he slid a strand of hair behind my ear making my cheeks grow rosy. I smiled and pecked a kiss on his shoulder as I couldn't reach his lips without standing on my tip toes.

Mikey opened the door and a grin spread across his face as he saw us dancing around the candle lit room.

"Hey Mikey" I said pulling away from Gerard

"Hey (y/n)" he gave me a little wave as he pulled his hoodie over his head and hanging it on the back of the door

"Hello Mikey" Gerard smiled pulling his gaze from my face

"Hi" he said grabbing a bottle of ice tea from the fridge

"Aren't you staying with Ray tonight?" I asked sitting myself down on one of the stools at the table

"Yeah I'm just coming to grab some stuff, plus I still have his copy of The Shining and I wanted to give it to him whilst I remembered I still had it" Mikey said pushing his glasses up his nose

"Oh that's cool" I said finishing my glass of wine

"Don't do anything stupid and don't sleep with Violet, at least not when Ray is in the room. I learnt the hard way, he doesn't appreciate that" Gerard laughed a little

"Poor Ray, no wonder he is so scared to have people stay over" I giggled playing with my hair

"Yeah let's not discuss that" Mikey snorted heading to his room to grab his clothes and Ray's copy of The Shining

"Hah well enjoy yourself" Gerard said opening another bottle of wine and pouring himself a glass.

"I'm not even gonna ask" I laughed

"Yeah it's best you don't" he giggled

"Right I'm ready to go now, bye guys" Mikey said running out of his room and to the door

"Bye!" Gerard and I said in unison

"Want desert baby" Gerard asked slicing up some fruit

"Yes please" I said taking a strawberry off of the chopping board

"How does waffles sound?" He asked swatting my hand from the strawberries

"Sounds perfect" I said with a smile as he poured batter into the waffle maker before taking another sip of wine

"Babe can you grab the butter from the fridge?" Gerard asked placing a waffle on a plate

"yeah, here you go" I said grabbing the butter from the fridge behind him.

He sliced the butter and placed it on top before drowning the waffle in syrup "you want any waffle with that syrup?" I chuckled making him smile "fuck off" he teased nudging my shoulder

We ate in silence with smiles but it was pleasant, everything felt right around him. Eating waffles with soft indie music in the background had never been what I imagined as a perfect night in, but I was starting to now

He did the dishes and left me to my own devices for a while which I appreciated, I decided to use my time alone efficiently and do some revision. I read through my History textbook, scanning the page and scribbling notes about the spartacist revolution. I could hear Gerard singing to himself softly while doing the dishes making me grin, his voice was gritty and raspy but powerful enough to move worlds, something I had never quite heard before

I revised for an hour until I got tired and decided I wanted to sleep. I changed out of my clothes and folded them on the chair in the corner and pulled on the sweats he had let me borrow. I wandered through to the other room to see him now sitting on the couch with the kitten Mikey had adopted, cuddling her with a beaming smile. I sat next to him and he watched as the kitten crawled onto my lap as I curled up to Gerard, his arm wrapped around my shoulder.

"Dinner was really nice, thank you" I said sweetly

"Thank (y/n), I'll make you dinner anytime" he mumbled, stroking Esme who was now sitting on my stomach

"I'll take you up on that" I giggled, running my hand through his hair

"You getting tired? It's quite late" he asked letting Esme claw at his jeans

"A little" I said resting my head on his shoulder

"I'm gonna sleep through here tonight, give you some space" he said his calloused fingertips grazing my knuckles

"What if I have a nightmare?" I asked nervously squeezing his hand

"I'll cuddle you until you fall asleep" Gerard's face was graced with a comforting gentle smile

"Thank you Gee" I blushed a little as he kissed my cheek

"Come on then, lets get you to sleep" he said taking my hand and walking me to his room

I lay down on the bed and pulled the covers over my body and snuggled into them, he put on the fairy lights and kissed my forehead I smiled and kissed his cheek.

He is perfect.
