Backstory: Truth is actually from Aether and Lumine's home world. The three of them were actually good friends. But when the twins left to travel across other worlds Truth did as well. Though he went to Teyvat long before the twins arrived. And when he tried to leave he had to face the Unknown God as well. But the difference between what happened with the twins and what happened with Truth is that Truth beat the Unknown God. To a degree. Which unfortunately caused his true powers to gain a unique rule that when in Teyvat's surface world his true powers aren't that strong but they are strong in the Abyss and Khaenri'ah. So he must rely on the elemental powers of Teyvat. Which resulted in him appearing in Fontaine where he received the power of Hydro from a Statue of the Seven. When Aether and Lumine arrived in Teyvat he sensed their presence and is now waiting for Aether to complete his journey in order to help him in the final battle against the Unknown God so that the three of them can leave Teyvat and continue searching for a home. He also may or may not be the reason that there are so many Matrix's in Teyvat and in Teyvat's multiverse.
