Backstory: Sparrow used to train under Clorinde to become a Champion Duelist one day. Until he lost his hand. During an accident, I won't get into specifics, he got caught under some rubble and the only way to get him out was to cut off his hand. His dominant hand. So he had to have his hand replaced by a hook hidden underneath a mechanical hand. Which did exactly what his old normal hand did. After the incident Sparrow gave up on becoming a Champion Duelist. He didn't think he could relearn all of his sword techniques with his new hand. But one day while putting on the mech hand his hook got caught on something in his wall. It was a secret compartment with his late father's will. Which gave Sparrow all legal rights to a legendary pirate ship called 'The Seraph'. Sparrow took a good long look at his hook and decided he wouldn't continue training to be a Champion Duelist. He would learn new sword techniques with his mechanical hand and become a swash-buckling pirate captain. The captain of the crew of 'The Seraph'. So after mastering his new sword techniques and training his only remaining normal hand to use a pistol he began his crew and his mission. To sail across the seas of Teyvat looking for treasure. And adventure.
