Backstory: Matrix was born in the rainforests of Sumeru and even joined the Akademiya. But nobody there ever knew which Darshan he was in because he seemed to study a bit of everything from each Darshan. This was because he had trouble fitting into one Darshan's specific field of study. One day while doing research he discovered that his family originally came from the desert. Being descendants of Thoth the Ibis King. One of King Deshret's Seven Sages. So upon learning this and wanting to connect to his roots he left the Akademiya to go to the desert. Though while riding on his Sumpter Beast he got overheated and passed out. When he woke up he was in a tent with Sethos who had saved him. Matrix told Sethos why he was in the desert and Sethos brought him to the Temple of Silence. Where he began transcribing scrolls and texts written by Thoth that nobody else but him could read. Which helped him become the Keeper of Thoth's Knowledge. But one day he transcribed a scroll that held a curse from Thoth that took away his ability to see. So he started wearing a blindfold to cover his eyes. With the blindfold though he gained an ability to see pure knowledge and be able to write it down on scrolls to keep in the Temple of Silence's vaults.
