Backstory: When Matrix was just a baby his mother abandoned him to be found by someone else in the harsh cold of Snezhnaya. Luckily for baby Matrix a certain Harbinger called La Signora found him and brought him back to the Fatui so Arlecchino could raise him at the House of the Hearth. An offer that Arlecchino accepted. So she raised Matrix at the House. Growing up Matrix grew to be friends with Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. But when he officially joined the Fatui and took apprenticeship under Pantalone he grew more distant and cold. The Tsaritsa herself even gifted him with a Cryo Delusion. With the teachings he received from Signora, Arlecchino, and Pantalone he grew to be a very powerful and loyal operative of the Fatui. Swearing his allegiance to the Tsaritsa's cause of capturing the other six Gnosis despite not being a Harbinger himself. Though he doubted that decision ever so slightly.........before the incident in Inazuma. Matrix was busy in Fontaine when he heard that during Signora's trip to Inazuma that she lost a duel before the throne with the Traveler and was killed because of it. From that day forward Matrix grew hateful towards the Traveler despite Childe's many protests. But Matrix was resolute. He would destroy the Traveler for causing the death of the woman who saved him as a baby. And he would show no mercy.
