Backstory: Matrix was actually born in Mondstadt but learned that he had genetic ties to Natlan and wanted to move there since he had always had a fascination with Natlan. This fascination appeared after hearing a story from his mother about one of their ancestors gaining a gift of prophecy when the Pyro and Anemo Archons had a great battle for sport and mixed their elemental energies. So he moved to Natlan and quickly got used to its culture even though he wasn't welcomed by the tribe his ancestor was a part of due to the fact that he wasn't born in Natlan. Matrix understood their logic so he decided to wander around Natlan camping in the wilderness. One day he noticed he had that gift of prophecy his ancestor had as well but not to a degree of a prophet. Only short glimpses. Though somehow he was noticed by Mavuika but she hasn't personally introduced herself to him. She's waiting for the perfect moment.
