Backstory: Long ago at the beginning of the multiverse two things were created. A book called the Book of Moirai that holds the secret stories of every dimension in existence and even some that do not exist and a genderless mage. They were given limited abilities and rules. This mage was to watch over the Book of Moirai and all the dimensions with the ability to travel to each dimension and follow the stories of each dimension. With the condition that they were not allowed to alter the stories or the realities of the dimensions in anyway and when they left a dimension after finishing a story and getting it to its written ending. This is the case that's happened with the Traveler all throughout their journey through Teyvat. Comet has followed the Traveler's story and helped them but upon leaving the dimension the Traveler and everyone who had memories of Comet forgot that they ever existed. But that's fine by them. As long as they get to partake in the stories of the multiverse.
