🌪️Venti x F!Reader🌪️
"One more drink, please!"
The bard set the wine glass in front of you, and you cocked a brow as you took it in your hand.
"How many have you already had? Dandelion Wine isn't something to take so lightly." You questioned, also studying his features to see if he was drunk.
"Oh, it can perfectly be my fifteenth glass!" He chirped happily as he grinned at you.
"Alright, no more Dandelion Wine for you, Venti. You're gonna get broke and drunk, and I don't want to pay another one of your bills with extra hours." You told him as you started to wash his glass, and he whined softly.
"Come on, [Name], I'm not that bad right now!" He cried as he held your arm over the bar, and you sighed softly.
"Venti, really. It's enough for today... Alright, let's try a game. If you're able to walk straight, I'll give you another one. But if you don't, you'll pay and I'll maybe give you some grape juice or water until I'm done working." You bargained.
"Deal!"
Venti seemed to grin and nod, confident that he could walk straight. But just by the way he got down from the barstool, you knew he wouldn't walk straight even if he tried to use his Anemo powers to help himself.
And just as you thought, he wasn't able to walk straight even for a foot, and you chuckled while he pouted at you.
"You knew it!" He accused as he pointed a finger at you, making you chuckle nervously as the other clients looked at you two.
"Come on Venti, you don't want to make a fuss. Master Diluc will kick you out of here, and we won't be able to go out like always, he will give me another three hours lecture about why I'm dating you." You whispered at him, but he wasn't paying attention to it. He just continued to point at you accusingly.
"But you knew I couldn't walk straight!" He whined as he continued to pout.
"Venti, you're drunk, of course I knew it." You explained softly, still not wanting to attract any more attention than you were already attracting.
No matter what you tried, he would continue to make a fuss over it, and in the end, and as you predicted, Diluc came and kicked him out, and then looked at you with a raised brow.
"You still think that bard is worth your time? How many times will I have to tell you that you could find someone better, [Name]?" He started, and you sighed softly.
"Here we go." You muttered to yourself.
After a long lecture about finding someone less noisy, and that wouldn't get drunk too often, and many other things that you already knew and almost could mutter under your breath at the same time, he finally let you finish your shift and go home, giving you some Moras.
Venti was waiting for you with the puppy face he always made when he knew he had screwed it, but you just chuckled and hugged him.
"I'm not upset nor angry, you small idiot." You hummed as you continued to chuckle, and he tilted his head.
"But he lectured you!" He retorted, not understanding how you weren't upset. Nor how he was still dating you.
"Venti, really, it's no big deal. Let's just go to our usual spot and eat dinner there." You whispered gently as you pressed a kiss to his forehead.
On your way there, you helped him several times to not trip over and fall down to the ground. It wouldn't be the best thing for him, specially for his face and lyre, his most precious possession. You also had to help him climb the stairs of the Cathedral, and then you two sat in the two last steps. He pulled out a pair of sandwiches and gave one to you, and you smiled widely while thanking him.
That's how it was for you two. You would usually work at Diluc's tavern or for the Knights of Favonius, and then you would spend the rest of the day with Venti, doing something regular.
Then you met Lumine and Paimon, and things started to go downwards. Of course, you wouldn't admit it out loud, and you tagged along and joined their party to help them, but that also meant that you spent less time with Venti. And you also had to stop working for Diluc, which meant less Moras for you.
"So, [Name], since when have you known Venti?" Paimon asked you, and you smiled softly for yourself.
"For quite a while, maybe a year or two." You answered as you grinned, and the little pixie looked at you with awe.
"Wow, Paimon didn't think it could be that long!" She exclaimed, and you just chuckled.
"Time flies by when you have someone you love." You explained as you three walked towards your apartment. You had told them that they could stay there while they were at Mondstadt, since the only hotel had been booked entirely by the Fatuis (organization you hated for all the trouble they caused).
"And how old are you? You seem to be around Lumine's age." She questioned. She was a rather inquisitive pixie, and it discomforted you a bit. Sure, you were really nice, but you didn't like to be asked too much.
"Biologically speaking... Around seventeen. And you, Lumine?" You asked the girl, who had stayed quiet the whole time.
"More or less like you... Also biologically speaking." She answered, and you raised a brow.
"What means bio... bioligo... that thing?" Paimon asked, and you chuckled a bit softly.
"It means we look younger or older than we are. What's your case, Lumine?" You looked at the girl with curious eyes.
"Younger than what I am."
"Then same as me." You pointed out. "You also seem to come from another world, right?" You inquired. It wasn't hard to tell, specially when she could use the Anemo power without a Vision, something not even you could do.
"Yeah, Lumine comes from another world, and she's looking for her brother!" Paimon answered for her, and she seemed to get sad at the mention of his brother. "And you?"
"I come from another world too. Time passes by a lot slower than for anyone else. I could've lived almost four hundred years and I still look like a teen." You mumbled as you shrugged. "I've seen many of my friends die. Many in my arms because they grew old, others in battle. It's always hard, no matter how much you see others die and leave this world." You added as you wiped some tears away.
"And what about Venti?" Paimon asked quickly, and you smiled at her. You told them you had dated him for one or two years, but that had been biologically speaking too. In reality, you knew him for more than three or four decades.
"He doesn't know." You lied smoothly. You knew he was the Anemo Archon, and he knew you were from another world. That had happened a while, and it had been the main reason you hung out with the other. Both of you knew the other wouldn't die soon.
"And will you tell him?"
"Nope."
"Why?"
"It's hard to tell, Paimon."
"But Paimon thinks it's worse to hide the truth."
"Paimon, leave [Name] alone or I'll make sure you're really emergency food."
"Paimon's not emergency food!"
Yeah, maybe you could get used to the both of them and build a friendship.

The Traveler now was a really interesting person, according to you. She was able to purify Dvalin's tears, and she was also a really good fighter. You still wondered how the rules of the world didn't apply to her, since they applied to you. Maybe it was because you had been in Teyvat since you were a kid. It was the only way it made sense to you, because if not, the Lumine had to be even more special than she already was.
What no one expected was that the Holy Lyre, der Himmel, was gonna get broken, and you were gonna return it to Barbara in that state. Boy would she make a fuss over it. Jean was looking at you, and you shrugged while giving her a nervous smile.
"You think my sister will be okay with it?" She asked you.
"Knowing your sister, she'll probably get mad at us and maybe faint. But hey, it wasn't our fault that Dvalin attacked Venti! Who would've known that he was being controlled by an Abyss Mage?" You answered as you sighed. "And on top of that, Kaeya has told me that there's someone behind them, commanding the Order of the Abyss. We'll have our hands busy, you know?" You added as you arrived at the Cathedral.
Just as you thought, Barbara got mad at Venti, Lumine and you for breaking the Holy Lyre, and you looked at each other before Venti somehow fixed it, only to whisper at you four that it was temporary, making you sigh and mutter a 'he's always causing some mischief'.
You decided to run right after him, leaving poor Lumine and Paimon to be lectured by an angry nun, and when you got out, your breath hitched in your throat.
Venti was going to get attacked by two Fatuis.
You ran to him and used your sword to stop the blow, and they didn't have a choice but to step back, and you charged towards them, though they disappeared in the ground. But a sudden blizzard prevented you from going back to Venti and shield yourself, and the bard also helped by using his Anemo powers, but his legs got frozen. You looked up to see a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, who smirked at your boyfriend. You were about to move, but the same Fatuis that you had repelled came back and held you in place, and you couldn't get rid of them.
"At last, Mondstadt's rodent ruler in the flesh." She started as she continued to smirk at him. "Scurrying throught the streets, looking for leftovers... Mondstadt calls this a God?" She asked as she grabbed his chin and forced him to look up as he struggled to break the ice.
"Resident rodent beats invasive vermin-." He started to retort, but he was slapped and you growled at her.
"Leave him alone!" You shouted as you struggled to get out of the Fatuis' vice grips, but they were overpowering you. It was clear that they were somehow empowered if they were able to overpower you and Venti. Signora didn't seem fazed by your shout, instead she ignored you.
"Don't you dare speak back to me, insolent bard." She told him, but Venti wasn't giving up yet. He started to use his power again to get his legs unfrozen, and Signora seemed just the slightest bit interested. She probably wasn't counting on him fighting this much back, but you were there and he wouldn't let them win without a fight. "Look at you, absentee Archon of Mondstadt... How impotent have you become."
"That smirk you wear looks out of place. Did you seal it from your master's face?" He questioned as he smirked back, but that backfired on him as she used another blizzard to make him back up and stabbed him right through his chest while muttering something that you didn't make out, stealing his Gnosis.
Now you really did feel impotent, seeing as your boyfriend was getting beaten and you could do nothing to stop it from happening. You just struggled helplessly while he got the worst part. After another retort from the Anemo Archon and Signora kicking him on the ribs, she finally looked at you.
"Is this the girl who was dating that useless bard? Interesting." She said as she grabbed you by the face just as she did with him, and you spat at her.
"Give his Gnosis back, it doesn't belong to you!" You hissed.
"Hm, let me think about it... I have a better idea. I will steal his two most precious possessions." She told you calmly. Then, you felt something pierce you next to the stomach and you were thrown down the wall of the city, leaving you to lose blood and probably die.
The last thing you heard before everything turned dark was Venti crying your name.
~✩~
When you woke up, you felt your whole body in pain, specially your torso. You didn't open your eyes, a great fear was striking your body when thinking that you could be dead. Then it hit you that, were you to be dead, you wouldn't have felt any pain, right?
"[Name]? Can you hear me?" A voice asked, one that you recognized as Barbara, and a relieved sigh left your lips as you opened your eyes, spotting her familiar blonde hair.
"Where is he?" You asked, voice hoarse, and she offered you a glass of water that you gladly took, thanking her with a nod.
"He's fine, don't worry. You were out for too long." She told you, and it made your heart clench.
"How much is it 'too long', Barbara?" You questioned, and she saw the obvious anxiety in your eyes and asked you to relax.
"A month and a half. Venti's come here every day and has waited for you to wake up. He should be arriving soon, I already told another nun to go and get him to come." She explained, and you calmed down a bit.
"[NAME]!" A voice screamed, and next thing you knew was that someone had wrapped their arms around you, and when you saw his characteristic clothes you smiled and weakly hugged him back, Barbara leaving you two alone to have some privacy. "I thought you were going to die, you weren't waking up." He admitted as he sniffed.
"Come on, I'm stronger than that." You teased and tried to chuckle, but it ended up in wincing from the pain, and he looked at you worriedly.
"Is it still hurting?" He asked you, and you shrugged it off.
"Nothing I've never experienced before, don't worry about it." You answered, and then you kissed him softly. Maybe you were unconscious for a month and a half, but boy did you miss those lips. When you pulled away, you looked at him with worried eyes, exchanging roles. "Where is she? How are you feeling? Are you alright?" You asked him, and he offered you a weak smile.
"I'm good. She took my Gnosis and left, but what I was really afraid of was to lose you. You shouldn't have gotten hurt, it had nothing to do with you." He whispered softly, and you smiled at him kindly.
"What kind of girlfriend would I be if I wasn't there for you? Besides, it could've been worse. Had she known about how I am and what makes me special, and... Honestly, I don't want to imagine the outcome of it." You admitted as you sighed softly, and then stayed quiet for a few seconds before pouting at him. "How long do I need to stay here?" You asked him, and he chuckled.
"Let me go get Barbara and do one more check up." He told you, and you whined.
"Let me just run away from here! You know I hate being here like I'm sick!"
"You're hurt!"
"It doesn't hurt that bad!"
"If you love me stay here and let me get Barbara!"
"Then I don't love you!"
"[Name]!"
