Kaito is considered the black sheep of the family, and wasn't as exceptional skilled growing up. He normally always came up second, or was ignored as people preferred Ayato over him.

Being the bastard child didn't help despite he shared similar characteristics like his siblings. Their father pushed him a bit harder and was very strict with him.

Upon receiving his vision it got worse for him, and was outcasted and soon disowned from the family. Although, before he could be turned over to the Shogun he ran away from home and Inazuma and disappeared.

Years later, after another adventure he would run into his siblings again. With Ayato head of the household, he welcomed Kaito back immediately and Ayata was happy to happy to have her older brother again.

Kaito still has a bit of rebellious and unruly nature, often teasing Ayato or Ayata. However, underneath that teasing he is very protective of both of them and tries to help in anyway he can.

Although, he tries to avoid taking any responsibilities or work Ayato tries to give him. He is also the only other sibling that is aware of Ayato's other "face," and has no issue flat out calling him a sick bastard to his face.

He doesn't dare make enemies of his brother, nor does he stop because he can get that way too. Especially, if Ayata can potentially be in danger he become like a second demon along with his brother.

Kaito now normally spends his time hunting nightmares and any rouge demons that pose a threat to Inazuma.

Kaito had a blood contract with a kitsune by the name of Tushar.
