Of Truths and Promises

I finally managed to get this chapter out!

Hopefully I got their reactions the way I wanted them to be. I'm just too tired to care right now, been trying to get this done for days already.

I am now convinced that Alhaitham stole Itto arm muscles. I mean look at him! His arms are more muscular than Itto, even though he's a sword user and Itto a claymore user!

Wonder if Itto Oni blood got something to do with it and that's why his arms aren't as muscular in the game.

Guess we know where that money had gone into.

Anyways, here's the chapter.

Enjoy!

"We're now getting to the next part!"

Zero shouted.

Before his, Ei, Kunikuzushi, and Nahida expressions got serious.

"I should warn you now, what you're about to see might question your beliefs and how you see your Archons."

!?

Why did that sound ominous as fuck!

The screen played.

Showing a sentence that had everyone on edge.

Location: Khaenri'ah

!?

"This is-!"

Pierro eyes widened as he saw the destruction of his homeland being played out for all to see.

Many people were staring in wonder and shock at the ruined nation drowning in flames.

"Wh-What happened?"

Collei shakingly asked.

"Wrath of the Divine."

Kunikuzushi simply said.

"..."

Dainsleif eyes hardened as he remembered that day.

The day he failed to save his people!

Aether silently growled.

The Gods will pay for the destruction of Khaenri'ah.

Zero just shook his head as he sensed Aether growing anger.

'He should be lucky that Ignika did not fall into that world.' The God thought to himself. 'Otherwise, Aether will be lucky to be alive once he gets his hands on him.'

While Ignika did love to bend the rules, he also understood their importance. Plus, he did not like having to get involved in the affairs of other worlds unless necessary.

...And getting involved just because a nation was destroyed didn't constitute as necessary in his eyes.

The inhabitants of Teyvat needed to deal with their own problems by themselves.

Crackle, crumble, crash

Could be heard as an advanced city was on fire and collapsing all over the place. Its inhabitants desperately trying to flee to safety from the Wrath of the Gods.

"Oh my, Barbatos!"

Barbara and some of her fellow Sisters covered their mouths in horror at the carnage shown on screen.

Venti and the others looked away, not wanting to revisit a dark part of their history.

"Run!" "Get out of the way!" "Mommy!"

Were some of the screams as citizens of Khaenri'ah tried to escape.

Kaeya winced as he witnessed his people being slaughtered by the Gods.

Diluc cast a secretive glance to his brother.

Despite what had happened back then, he still worried for him.

Squelch, swish, stab

Several people jumped and looked uneasy at the sounds.

Only for a majority of them to fall to the hands of the Archons and Gods under Celestia command.

"What have we done to deserve this!?"

"That's a good question."

A scholar looked puzzled.

"What did Khaenri'ah do to earn the scorn of the Gods?"

The Archons (minus Zhongli for now) said nothing.

Though it could be noted that the Tsaritsa had a look of cold fury on her face as she was forced to remember that day.

One citizen shouted to an Archon, said God quiet for a moment before raising a hand.

"I don't know" The God admitted as power welled up. "All I know is that Celestia has deemed Khaenri'ah a threat to the safety of Teyvat."

"But what did they do that they had to be destroyed?"

A Natlan scholar asked.

"...Unfortunately." Venti sighed. "We have been forbidden to sing about the events of that day."

"But why?"

Itto pushed the question.

"I might not be the smartest around here, but wouldn't knowing the reasons help us not to fall to the same outcome?"

...Whoa.

"You actually said something smart for once, Oni."

Sara Kujou said in shock.

"Oh, screw you Tengu!"

"Joking about my boss intelligence aside."

Kuki spoke up.

Ignoring Itto indignant shout of 'HEY!'

"That is a good point. If we don't know what the cause was...how we can be sure we don't unintentionally follow in their footsteps?"

The Archons said nothing.

How could they, when they were sworn into silence about the events?

...Well, except for GI Nahida and GI Ei.

One has been trapped in the Sanctuary of Surasthana and was also born after the destruction of Khaenri'ah. The other didn't know what had happened until she learned that her twin sister, Makoto, had headed to Khaenri'ah.

Something Ei still not understand. She never lifted a weapon in her life, that was Ei job as her Kagemusha, yet she still went knowing this.

Why?

"And all threats are to be eradicated with extreme prejudice."

With that said, the God power was released. Killing the citizen along with the rest.

"What a terrible tragedy."

Kokomi stared forlornly at the scene before her.

Idly, she wondered if that would be the fate of the Resistance should the Raiden Shogun deal with them herself.

-In another location-

"This might be a little bit uncomfortable to watch."

Zero said.

Whimper,

A brother-sister duo were cowering in front of another Archon. With the older sister covering her younger brother in an attempt to protect him.

"Not even the children were spared!?"

Himeko shouted in shock.

Anakin felt a little bit uncomfortable at that.

The Archon said nothing, as his golden eyes glowed. Massive stone pillars hovering behind him, before swiftly hurtling towards the two children in an attempt to kill them.

"Wait." Yelan eyes widened as she took a closer look. "That person looks like..."

Here, many Liyue citizens turned their heads to Zhongli.

Who shifted uncomfortably, as he realized that his plans were about to go up in flames.

Swish, Slice

"!"

Only for the stone pillars to suddenly be sliced into pieces.

"Who was able to do that?!"

Diona shouted in shock at how clean and cut the stone pillars were destroyed.

As an effeminate figure landed in front of them.

"Barbatos!?" "Venti!?"

The Mondstadters shouted in shock as they saw their Archon landing in front of the kids.

"Morax Stop!" The figure shouted, as he shielded the children from Morax view.

"...WHAT!?"

A vast majority of Liyue shouted in shock!

From the citizens to the Adepti.

All turning to a now uncomfortable Zhongli.

"Rex Lapis?"

"Milord?"

"Oh, Rex Lapis."

Madame Ping shook her head.

"What are you up to this time old friend?"

"..."

"To think." Ningguang shook her head in shock. "That Rex Lapis has been walking among us for some time now."

"...Aiyah." Hu Tao shook her head.

She knew something was off about her consultant.

But she never expected this!

'Wait...' She suddenly realized something. 'Doesn't that make me the boss of Rex Lapis himself?'

...Evil maniacal laughter in her head.

Zhongli did not know why, but he had a bad feeling.

Xiao and Ganyu felt the strange need to strangle the 77th Director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

"Barbatos, I was not expecting to see you here." Morax addressed the now recognized Anemo Archon.

"...Oh my."

Ningguang hid her face behind her fan.

"The Gods certainly had...an acquired taste."

"Don't try to sugarcoat Ningguang!" Beidou shouted. "They're smoking hot!"

"Beidou!" "Captain!" "I mean she's not wrong." "Lord Barbatos got a fine body." "Rex Lapis looks like he could grate cheese on those abs."

There were many mixed feelings at the site before them.

Even certain somebodies couldn't deny hot the two Archon are.

Lumine blushed as she turned her head away from the scene.

Drip, drip

Blood dripping from people noses.

Aether grumbling at his sister horniness.

"The winds woke me up and told me what was happening." Barbatos explained (I think I heard somewhere that he was asleep during this time, I'm not sure. For the sake of the story, we'll say he was, only to be awoken by the winds bearing bad news), "Morax you need to stop, this isn't right!"

"Why were you sleeping anyways?"

Kiana asked the Anemo Archon.

"...Err"

Venti tried to explain.

"He was fighting against one of Khaenri'ah most dangerous creations that one of their alchemists created."

Ei stepped in and helped her fellow Archon.

"Durin. A dangerous, evil dragon that wreaked havoc across the lands. Eventually Barbatos along with Dvalin fought and managed to end the monster life once and for all."

Albedo flinched, knowing of the alchemist that created Durin.

After all, she created him too as well.

"Unfortunately, the battle took too much out of him." Ei continued. "He had to recover from taking down Durin. Not to mention that Dvalin was also wounded in that fight."

"The reason he tried to destroy Mondstandt was not just because of their aggression towards him."

Here, Mondstadters flinched at the jab.

"But also, because during the fight, Durin blood poisoned him. The crystals on his back were a result of that battle and was also slowly killing him...and influencing him to violently lash out at everybody."

"Hence why he turned his back on Mondstadt."

Lisa realized.

"Yes."

"I see." She mused. "This makes history even more exciting. I must make sure to leave a record of the true history of Mondstadt."

He desperately tried to plea with his old friend, the children holding onto each other for comfort as he tried to convince the Geo Archon to spare them.

"A blockhead as always."

Venti sighed.

Unbeknownst to him, Signora was staring at him with a calculative stare.

Could it be that he wasn't truly to blame for her beloved Rostam death?

After all, his death coincided with the time of the battle.

"Celestia orders are absolute." Morax coldly responded, "All of Khaenri'ah, down to the last man, woman, and child, are to be killed."

"Anyone helping them, will meet the same fate."

"Don't make me your enemy Barbatos."

Morax finished, staring coldly into Barbatos green eyes.

"Does he not have any sympathy for them?!"

Xinyan shouted in shock!

Rex Lapis was nothing like what had been passed down in the stories!

Many people, both from Liyue and other nations were also in shock and wondering how he could be so different than what they knew.

Zhongli sighed.

But before he could speak up.

"It's because he's always had trouble with his emotions."

Zero crossed his arms.

"That was something that Guizhong, the Goddess of dust." He added, noticing the confused looks on their faces. "Wasn't able to impart to him."

"It was only after her death that Rex Lapis started to understand emotions."

Moon Carver spoke up.

"Sadly, Rex Lapis still has trouble dealing with human emotions."

Ouch.

The Anemo Archon said nothing, his hands gripping into a fist as he stared angrily at his old friend.

"Please don't give up."

Barbara prayed worryingly.

Crash, Boom, Crumble

"I'm sorry" Barbatos said sadly as he kneeled to ground. Watching Morax finished his cruel work. "Forgive me."

"Oh no!"

Barbara and other people had their mouths covered in shock.

"To-To think." Chongyun stammered. "That our lord is so merciless."

"He functions like a robot."

Mei observed.

"Just takes orders and goes through with them."

"Bronya thinks that IdiotRex needs a reality check."

The emotionless Valkyrie said.

Several Liyuen glared at her, but it was dampened as they witnessed their Archon cruel actions.

"You think this is bad?"

Ei sighed.

"You wouldn't have lasted in the Archon War for sure. That was a bloodbath and hell on earth for the humans."

"It was either follow this God or die for most."

...

"Barbatos," Morax said, his golden eyes staring into his green eyes, "Don't take it personally, I was only following orders."

"Are orders the only thing your good at?"

Dottore snarkly asked.

"I don't know."

Amber coldly spoke up.

"Is being a psychopathic asshole the only thing YOUR good at?"

Dottore growled but said nothing as he knew he would be killed if he tried anything.

"Shut up Morax" Barbatos coldly replied, "It doesn't matter anyways, does it?"

"It's just another tally to add to our ever-growing sins. Sins that one day we will have to answer to."

'Indeed.'

Aether thought to himself.

One day, the Gods will pay!

'Stop being a wannabe edgelord and get a life.'

Zero voice spoke into his head, startling the immortal teen.

'How the!?'

'Seriously, go get laid or something. Might help you with your emoness.'

...

Silence was all that was left between the two of them, before Barbatos returned to where he had been sleeping. While Morax continued his slaughter of Khaenri'ah.

"Strange though."

Zhongli frowned.

"I don't recall ever coming across Barbatos or killing those two."

"A side effect of being an entirely different timeline."

Theresa (HI3) crossed her arms.

"There are going to be things that are different."

"I suppose you're right."

"Sins huh?" Morax mused, "I suppose you are right about that Barbatos, we will have to answer to them one day."

"Hope, it will be soon."

A Snezhnayan snarked.

ZAP!

"AAHH!!"

"Quiet in the peanut gallery!"

Palpatine shouted as he shocked the bitch to kingdom come.

(Note: this is that stupid merchant that you do commissions for back in Mondstadt. One of the reasons I no longer do them in Mondstadt. I just don't remember his name)

-In another location-

"Fucking hell Morax!"

People jumped at the unexpected voice.

It sounded a bit different, but it was-!

Came the response of a (H/C) hair, (E/C) eyed, (S/C) male as he quickly ran to safety with the two children, that Morax had 'supposedly killed,' in tow.

"He saved them!?"

"When did he-?!"

"Why is he even there?"

The Khaenrians stared at the screen in shock.

When Barbatos interfered, it gave (M/N) a chance to cast a powerful illusion leaving the two Archons to think they were still there when (M/N) grab them and headed to safety.

"Must have been a damn, good powerful illusion."

Fu Hua whistled impressed.

Startling her friends.

'When did she get here!?'

A good too, otherwise he would have been forced to reveal himself.

'Damn it all to Hell!' He thought to himself.

It was by chance that he had decided to visit Khaenri'ah so that he could finally see what made the Nation with No God so special from the rest of the nations.

"Besides not having a God." Dehya spoke up. "What really made it different from the rest?

Shrugs were seen at that.

He had expected many things, suspicion because he was a foreigner, attempts on his life, imprisonment, or 24/7 watch patrol.

"He has a rather interesting mindset about people."

Gorou sweatdropped.

What he didn't expect was Celestia unleashing all Hell on Teyvat onto Khaenri'ah.

What on Teyvat did I miss in my travels?

Was the thought running through (M/N) mind.

"A lot apparently."

Paimon just shook her head.

What caused Celestia to deem Khaenri'ah as a threat? The nation had existed for millennia's and was never bothered.

"Again, why did Celestia ordered Khaenri'ah destruction?!"

Itto shouted.

"Yes, why." Alhaitham asked. "They never seem to mind the nation with no God, so that wasn't the cause for their destruction."

"So, why did Celestia have the Gods wipe them out?"

Questions that no one seemed eager to answer.

"Did the humans stumbled upon something they weren't supposed to?" He said out loud.

"Hmmm..."

Several scholars mused at that.

That was a likely probability, though he has heard that they were the most advanced nation in the world and had technology that surpassed the nations ruled by the Seven.

...Though, he had also heard that the people of Khaenri'ah possessed a rather high arrogance having not been ruled by a God.

"...That could do it."

Dori nervously chuckled.

...Did they think that the Gods weren't necessary and were planning to wage war against the Gods.

"That...actually makes sense."

Ayaka put a finger to her chin.

"Power plays." Ayato scoffed in disgusts. "Not even Gods can turn a blind eye to such foolishness."

Pierro and Dainsleif twitched at that jab.

...Though both couldn't deny the truth of their former homeland rulers' arrogance.

'If that's the case, then they are even stupider than I thought despite being so advance.' (M/N) thought.

OUCH!

(M/N) was not that sympathetic, nor did he take any prisoners.

"M-Mister, where are we going?" The sister of the duo asked, she was terrified at what was happening and was trying to stay strong for her baby brother.

"I'm getting you two and everyone else that I could save out of here."

"What...?"

Dainsleif said in disbelief.

Others?

Unknown to him, that same thought was also running through everybody head.

Was the male's reply as he finally reached his destination. A secret camp filled with survivors from the assault, a result of (M/N) saving them.

"What?"

A male noticed them,

"Everyone! (M/N) back with two more survivors." He shouted, grabbing everyone attention.

"Oh my!"

A woman shouted in concern as she saw the two children (M/N) had on each of his arms.

"Quick, bring them to the medical tent!" Another shouted, as they escorted the brother and sister duo to the tent.

"WHAT!?"

Came the shout of both mortals and immortals alike.

"He-he saved them?!"

Childe shouted in shock.

Extremely surprised that the Hydro wielder risked his life to the people of Khaenri'ah!

And risked inciting the Gods wrath upon him if they ever learned of him.

Pierro, Dainsleif, and Kaeya could only stare in shock and numbness.

To think that there could be a reality where a portion of Khaenri'ah could be saved!

Thwump!

Dainsleif knees hit the floor as years of mental exhaustion finally took their toll on him.

"To think...there was at least one future."

The Twilight Sword muttered to himself.

It might not be his reality and might have happened in another. But it still eased some of his burdens and regrets at being unable to save his people.

Pierro just stared silently.

For what could he say to the reality that in another world his fellow Khaenrians were saved?

It made his cold heart...happy.

'Never thought I would feel such an emotion again.'

The former court mage thought to himself.

Kaeya just smiled a genuine smile.

Happy that events happened differently in that world. Even for just a little.

The Archons were in shock.

'How did he managed to get that many people to safety?'

Zhongli thought to himself.

Just who was he? And why did he feel so familiar?

Something the Adepti wanted to know as well.

The Tsaritsa felt something inside her.

It was...joy?

Aether could only stare at the screen in shock.

'Just by having that one foreign variable caused such dramatic difference?!'

While the members of the Abyss Order (that were there) stared in disbelief at what had happened.

While also wondering:

Did they also suffered under the curse?

(M/N) stared as the children went with the adults to bandage up their wounds.

"(M/N)" The male from before spoke, causing the male to turn to him.

"I can't thank you enough for saving us. On behalf of the people of Khaenri'ah we give you, our thanks."

Murmurs of agreement and gratitude could be heard among the crowd.

"But what should we do now?"

Someone spoke up, "Our home is gone, and if we go back, we will die."

That was the painful truth. They were now castaways with no home to go back to.

"I'm guessing that if they went to one of the Seven Nations, they run the chance of being killed?"

Faruzan hypothesized.

"Bingo."

Ivan Ooze confirmed.

"...Give me some time and I will find an island suitable to support life."

(M/N) spoke out, grabbing their attention once more.

"I'm not going to lie and say I'm a good person, I'm not really. But I can't ignore what is happening right now."

"Just what has he done that he would think himself a bad person?" Mona was astonished at the male admittance. "From what we have seen, he's a little rough around the edges but overall a decent person."

"We have already been given a hint that he is not a normal being at the beginning of this story."

Mona master suddenly spoke up startling the Hydro user.

"It is possible his nature is more inhuman."

"Perhaps even divine."

Many people shuddered at the powerful witch words.

But could not help but wonder...

Who was he?

Eyes steely, he turned to the survivors.

"I'm going cast a spell on you, in order to communicate with you all and let you know when your new home is ready."

He said,

"Until that day comes though, you must listen to this warning."

The air grew tense around him.

"You must not reveal that you are from Khaenri'ah to anyone unless they can be truly trusted. From here on out, you will be interacting with those under the Seven Rule. They will most likely turn you into the authorities and into the hands of Archons."

"And most likely, they will kill you as per the orders of Celestia."

"He's certainly not beating around the bush with this."

Margaret nervously smiled.

"It would be the height of foolishness if they let their guard down."

Xiao coldly spoke up.

"As Rex Lapis mentioned earlier, all of Khaenri'ah is to be destroyed. If word got out that there was someone who had secretly defied them and save even a small population of people. What do you think will happen?"

...

He finished, causing a somber feel to fall upon the group.

"We understand" The leader of the survivors said. "We pray for your success, and for your safety."

"Heh, don't worry about me" (M/N) said, "I will be fine."

"Catch you guys on the flip side."

"What a weird expression."

Qiqi tiredly said as she drank some coconut milk.

He left, with a new goal in mind to find a place for Khaenri'ah children to live in.

-Present Time, Mondstadt-

"What is he talking about Calvary Captain Kaeya?" Jean questioned the now nervous male.

"I-I don't know what he's talking about." Kaeya tried to deflect, only for Jean to press forward.

"Real smooth, Kaeya."

Diluc deadpanned.

"Oh, screw you Diluc!"

"Then why are you sweating, and averting your eye?" She coolly responded, "The moment he said that you were from Khaenri'ah, you started to act strangely."

"Not something that a person with nothing to hide would do."

"Note to self." Kaeya muttered to himself. "Try not to slip whenever someone tries to point out my heritage."

"Not really that much help now, though."

Rosaria shook her head in amusement at her fellow Cryo situation.

She finished.

Kaeya was internally panicking; how did he know he was from Khaenri'ah!?

He went through a lot of effort to conceal that fact, only Diluc knew the truth and Kaeya knew that despite their broken relationship (not in that way people), Diluc would never rat him out.

"Which is saying something." Marvin said out loud. "Everyone knows how fractured their relationship is."

All of Mondstadt, even the Fatui stationed in Mondstadt, nodded their heads.

Much to the two chargin.

...So, how!?

"Beats me."

Thoma shrugged.

"My, my" Lisa hummed amused at the situation unraveling before her, "This is quite an interesting situation we're in."

That...didn't sound good.

And those that knew her, knew what the possible outcome was going to be.

"...Though" electricity began crackling all around her.

"Oh, boy."

One of Lisa old colleague from Sumeru muttered to himself.

Kaeya better hope he could sweet talk his out of this!

"Does this mean you have been spying on us, and intending to betray our trust in you?"

"...Meep."

The smile, though not changing much, turned downright scary as she was prepared to eliminate the threat before her.

"I-I..." Kaeya trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"Kaeya?" The look on Amber face hurt him more than he would like to admit.

Sighing, he confessed.

"That's it?" Someone said. "That's all it took? Just get the kid to look like a kicked puppy and he'll fold?"

"...Kid good."

"Hmm..."

Jean placed a finger to her chin.

"Maybe I should bring her more often to get them to talk."

"Jean!"

"...It wasn't a coincidence on that day that Master Crepus and Diluc found me." He admitted.

That day...when everything changed.

"I was left there by my father as Khaenri'ah last hope, and was sent to spy on Mondstadt and, by extension, the rest of nations ruled by the Seven. I was to send information back home with the strengths, weakness, important figures, the economy, and many other details so that they can formulate a plan to enact our revenge."

"How have you been sending them information in the first place?"

Baizhu questioned the knight.

"Honestly?" Kaeya said. "The details are a little foggy."

"Perhaps some sort of spell has been cast on you to ensure that you don't spill their location."

Mountain Shaper hummed.

"At least, originally that was my purpose." Kaeya said,

"In my time growing up here, I felt more attached to Mondstadt then I ever did with Khaenri'ah. I came to see Mondstadt as my true home, regardless if it's ruled by One of the Seven."

"I came to the realization that I cannot and would not betray Mondstadt. Even for my people."

He spoke with a steely resolve in his eye and his words.

"You intend to betray your homeland?"

Pulcinella sharply questioned the man.

"Khaenri'ah might be my homeland." Kaeya began. "But it's not my home."

"That honor belongs to Mondstadt and to Master Crepus and Diluc."

"Why should I devote my life to a forgotten relic."

His response garnered mixed reactions.

Dainsleif was relieved that he did not inherit his ancestors anger towards the Gods. But was left wondering if this was the best choice for him.

Pierro simply sighed.

'It's his choice.' The man thought to himself. 'I have no right to tell him what to do. After all, all we share is the fact that we are both from Khaenri'ah.'

He could not tell the young man how to live his life.

Even if that put them at odds eventually.

Aether was positively fuming.

How dare he!

'Why doesn't he want to avenge his homeland!?'

He could not get it out of his head.

'Because he chose to be free.'

Zero spoke once more in his head.

'Stop meddling in where you're not wanted!'

Aether mentally shouted at him.

Zero was unfazed.

'You're going to have to try better than that child.' Zero coolly replied. 'There are far more important things to do than waste your time craving for revenge.'

'Don't forget that your sister is going to killyou when she learns the truth.

'...Shit'

Aether suddenly realized that he was as good as dead.

...

...

"Kaeya" Amber said after a moement of silence.

Only to be interrupted,

"One day Kaeya" (M/N) began, "You will have to make the choice between Mondstadt and Khaenri'ah."

"It is only then, that you will be able realize where your Duty and Destiny lie."

"Let's hope he can stay on the path he's chosen."

Himeko sighed.

He finished softly.

"...How did you know I was from Khaenri'ah?" Kaeya questioned.

"Let's see how this will play out."

Columbina mused.

...

"...Not all of Khaenri'ah was destroyed." (M/N) said, "There were actually survivors from that tragedy."

That caught their attention.

"Survivors!?" Kaeya shouted in shock, though there was a desperate look in his eye filled with hope.

Idly, the Khaenri'ah present wondered.

'Could there be survivors here to?'

Nodding, he continued: "They said that they were saved by a mysterious traveler who just happened to be there. Risking his life, he managed to get as many as he could to safety. When he did that, he went looking for a safe place for them to rebuild their lives."

"They have remained there, safe and unseen from the eyes of Celestia and the Gods."

The look on Kaeya face was indescribable, he couldn't believe that after all this time there were descendants of actual survivors of Khaenri'ah!

...Though what wasn't said was that (M/N) was that mysterious traveler that saved them. Though from the look Aether was giving him, he probably figured it out.

"Okay, since when was Aether smart?" Lumine deadpanned.

'HEY!!'

"If you wish to see them, you must promise me this." (M/N) said to Kaeya, when he gave him his full attention, he continued.

"You must not reveal the fact that there are survivors to your fellow Khaenrians, no doubt they will try to force them into joining this meaningless fight for revenge. Even trying to use their new home as a base of operations."

"...If that happens, I will finish what Celestia started."

He finished in a cold, unfeeling voice, sending shivers down their spines.

"I wouldn't want to get on his bad side, that's for sure."

Teppei shivered.

"You have my word and my honor as a knight." Kaeya swore, like hell he was going to ruin this chance by revealing his new brethren existence. Not when he could interact with people sharing the same home as he.

"A little selfish there, aren't we?"

Paimon smirked.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Is that Emergency Food I hear wanting to be cooked?"

"Paimon is not emergency food!!"

"Good." (M/N) said, he did not know why but he felt he could trust him on his promise.

"...Sorry to butt in on this lovely conversation." Aether sarcastically interjected, startling the group. "But can someone explain to the clueless ones of the group what you are talking about?"

His deadpan voice said out loud.

"Oh, right." (M/N) realized, "I never got around to telling you about that one nation, didn't I?"

"NOPE!"

Lumine popped out.

With that said, he and everyone else started explaining to Aether and Paimon about Khaenri'ah and its history.

"Ugh" Aether groaned, putting a hand on his forehead.

"You really like giving me a headache, don't you?"

"You're telling me."

Lumine grumbled.

Who knew that Khaenri'ah had such a history to it?

'You should be glad this (M/N) is very different in comparison to his counterparts.'

Zero just thought to himself.

Remembering a certain reality where (M/N) rampaged in Khaenri'ah just for fun.

He grumbled at (M/N) direction, causing the male to chuckle.

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

He smirked, before his expression turned serious.

"You guys can deal with this revelation and what agreements you are going to reach with Kaeya later."

He said,

"Right now, it's time that Aether, Paimon, and I honor our part of the bargain and help you."

"So, which temple are we going to?"

"And I think we'll stop there for right now."

Zero paused the screen, turning to the audience.

"For now, take a break and stretch your legs and whatnot."

"Discuss your futures on what you have heard thus far."

He nodded towards the KOF.

"Make bets on (M/N) true self.

He smirked at Zhongli and the Adepti.

As well as other individuals.

"Look around if you want. Though, don't bother trying to open locked doors as the theater will automatically activate its self defense mode and kill you."

He deadpanned as he stared at the Fatui and certain other groups that would be interested in snooping in things that they had business being in.

"If you die...well that's on you."

Spinning on his toes he began to walk off somewhere.

"Who is (M/N)?" Dunyarzad asked. "Is he a God?"

Here, people attention turned to the God.

"..."

Zero was quiet, before saying.

"Liyue is where things will come to a head. And it is Liyue where the truth about (M/N) shall be revealed."

With that said, he left.

Leaving behind a quiet and confused group of people curious about (M/N) true nature.

And done.

Managed to get this out.

Now I need to get back to writing stories again.

Hope you enjoyed this and let me know what you think.

Have a good day/night!
