San walked into the physics classroom, a happy bounce to his step as he arrived.

Today had been a rather cheerful day for him, having spent the previous night at his house with Wooyoung, cuddling and kissing like a newlywed couple. San felt flushed just thinking about it. It seemed like nothing could ever make him get tired of the younger.

The sight of all of the students in his class gathered near the back of the room grabbed his attention. San wandered over to join the group, confused as to what was happening.

"What's going on?" San asked a girl next to him, just a student he didn't know.

She shrugged. "Teacher said there'll be a seating change."

San nodded at this, glancing around the room. He didn't feel like chatting with anyone at the moment, and merely tapped his foot to some song stuck in his head.

His attention was grabbed by the sight of a gorgeous boy walking through the door, one that San smiled brightly upon seeing.

Wooyoung, going through the same confusion process as San, made his way to the back of the classroom to stand with everyone else.

"Hi beautiful," San greeted, a warm smile spreading across Wooyoung's face.

"Hey gorgeous. What's going on?" Wooyoung responded, walking towards San and standing next to him.

"We're getting new seats, I think?" San said, just before hearing the rest of the students go quiet.
The physics teacher stood up, going towards the whiteboard and switching on the projector.

A chart of the classroom's layout apppeared, along with a student's name written on each desk. A chatter arose as most students found their new seat on the board, along with seeing who their desk mate was.

"San..." Wooyoung lightly hit his arm.

"Hm?" San questioned, seeing his boyfriend seemingly become excited. Wooyoung shook San's arm to really grab his attention, pointing at the board with a growing smile.

San read off the chart on the board, quickly locating his name assigned to a seat in the back.
It was then that he noticed who was placed to sit next to him.

"Holy shit..." San smiled widely, turning to look at the boy next to him. Nothing had surprised him more in the world than seeing his boyfriend's name written next to his.

The two exchanged purely evil smiles as they walked over to their desks, already knowing they were going to raise hell sitting together. It would be a miracle if they didn't get separated at some point.

San looked up and made eye contact with the physics teacher, who he swore held the ghost of a smile before she turned away, organizing some papers on her desk.

Ignoring it, he only sat down next to Wooyoung, who was currently getting out his supplies for class and his laptop.

"This is the class where we first met, huh?" San mused quietly, so only Wooyoung could hear.

A small smile arose on Wooyoung's face. "Yeah. Who would've thought I'd be thankful to physics class?" he joked, San almost laughing in response.

The lecture eventually started, going smoothly as usual. This topic turned out to be rather boring, and San eventually decided to take a nap— leaning against Wooyoung's shoulder, that is.

After an eternity, the class finally seemed to come to a close, and students began getting up upon hearing the bell ring.

Wooyoung lightly shook San awake.

"Oh... hello there," San said upon waking up, now sitting straight and stretching in his chair.

"Nice nap?" Wooyoung teased, San nodding.

The two began gathering their things, not noticing the physics teacher walking over to them.

"Choi San?" she said, the pair turning to face her simultaneously.

"...Yes ma'am?" he responded. His eyes widened as she held his phone out to him.

"A girl in my after school chemistry tutoring found this and gave it to me. It's yours, right?" she said as San gingerly took the device from her.

"It is! Thank you," he said. The teacher merely gave a thumbs up before turning and walking back to her desk.

"Hey! That's good, we don't even have to look for it now," Wooyoung stated, draping an arm around San's shoulders. San nodded, a smile on his face despite the strange nagging he felt about the situation.

He turned his phone on, seeing everything as he had left it; a few notifications from Genie, and a couple of texts from Wooyoung. Even seeing everything untouched, an uneasiness still washed over him.

San decided he was simply overreacting.

The pair walked out of the classroom, cracking jokes and chatting about whatever came to mind as per usual.

"Oh! Hey San, I've gotta dash over to my locker real quick to get something. I'll be right back!" Wooyoung remembered, giving San a light pat on the shoulder before turning to dash off down the hallway. He wasn't about to risk getting that major assignment in late.

San leaned against a nearby locker, biding the time by putting his earbuds in and listening to some songs, his phone snugly shoved in his pocket where it belonged.

Barely half a song in, a female's voice grabbed his attention.

"Hi? Hello?" she said, waving a hand in front of his face. San's attention snapped towards her.

A girl of around 5'4 stood across from him, a classmate of his that he recognized. If he remembered correctly, she was named Seungyeon.

"...Hi?" San returned, taking out an earbud. He stared at her, waiting for the girl to continue speaking. He didn't think he had ever interacted with her before, and certainly had no idea why she would talk to him now.

"That boy with you earlier... was that Jung Wooyoung?" she asked bluntly, surprising the taller boy.

San took out his other earbud now, diverting his full attention to the girl.

"Yes...? That was him, why?"

She laughed lightly, as if to say 'oh, silly me.'
"Nothing! You two seem close, I was wondering if you would happen to know if he's dating anyone?"

San's expression went completely blank. He couldn't decide whether to be concerned, angry, or territorial.

"Why do you want to know?" San inquired. In a perfect world, San would have dropped the 'he's mine' bomb right then and there. Yet this was reality, and he needed to know her intentions first.

"It's just..." she fidgeted, as if trying to come up with a response. "A friend of mine thinks he's kinda cute... we were just wondering if he's single."

"No. He's taken, sorry," San replied immediately, his tone causing Seungyeon's expression to morph in a bit of surprise.

"Really? Who is she?" Seungyeon asked. She didn't notice the way San's jaw clenched at the word 'she,' nor the sudden peppy footsteps approaching the two in the hall.

"San, don't you think that..." Wooyoung stopped speaking as he saw the girl confronting his boyfriend.

San, seeing Wooyoung approach, sent him a silent look asking for help. Wooyoung took this sign and stepped in, standing next to San and wrapping an arm around his waist.

"Hope you don't mind me asking what we're talking about here?" Wooyoung said as he made eye contact with the girl. She seemed a bit fazed by the aura of the two of them together.

"Ah... it's uh, nothing. I think I have to go," she said, giving the two a quick nod of acknowledgement before scurrying away.

Wooyoung gave San a questioning look. "What did she want?" he asked, seeing San a bit shaken.

"She wanted to know if you're dating anyone," San replied honestly. Wooyoung pursed his lips as he comprehended the reply.

"What'd you say to her?" he questioned, lightly nudging San.

"I said hell no, he's taken," San replied, a grin forming on Wooyoung's face before he planted a light kiss on San's cheek.

"Damn right I am," Wooyoung said, squeezing San's waist out of affection. San felt himself dying inside at the gesture.

Deciding to put the earlier interaction aside, San turned all of his attention to Wooyoung in hope of distracting himself.

He could deal with his problems later.
