San strolled down the quiet hallway, paying no mind to the echo of each step.

At the present moment he found himself growing a bit nervous. Wooyoung had offered to introduce San to his friends that lunch, as San had done with Yunho and Mingi previously.

Something about meeting Wooyoung's friends felt very official to San, as if it was an equivalent to meeting his family.

Upon reaching the classroom where a Wooyoung had told him to go, he felt the anxiousness bubbling within him skyrocket. He had no idea how Wooyoung's friends would react to his presence.

After working up the courage, he swung the classroom door open and quickly stepped in.

He immediately registered the presence of multiple people in the room, all of which turned to look at him at the sound of his entrance. His gaze landed on one in particular; a familiar dark haired boy that San remembered to be Seonghwa.

"San!" a voice came, immediately causing a stupid smile to work its way onto his face. Wooyoung stood up from a chair, speed walking over to him. Wooyoung grabbed both of his hands, greeting him with a smile that made San's anxiousness disappear for just a moment.

"Hey hottie," San said quietly, a small smirk arising as the other lightly hit his shoulder at the words.

Wooyoung, remembering the purpose of the visit, dragged San across the room to where his friends sat. "Guys!" he shouted, gathering their attention.

"This is my boyfriend!! I finally brought him," Wooyoung happily announced, San giving a small wave. He felt like crying at the amount of pride with which Wooyoung had introduced him.

"Hey San," the black haired boy, Seonghwa, spoke up, a content smile on his face. "Nice to finally meet you. This kid never shuts up about—"

Wooyoung slapped a hand over Seonghwa's mouth. He wasn't about to let him finish that sentence.

"Hey, I'm Hongjoong," another boy sitting next to Seonghwa stated, giving a friendly wave back to San. "And that's Jongho over there," he continued, pointing at a younger boy who was passed out on a desk, sleeping on top of his biology textbook.

San muttered a greeting to Hongjoong in return, somewhat still clinging onto Wooyoung. The others seemed nice, but San's shyness was definitely kicking in. He didn't want to fuck up this first impression.

Wooyoung led San over to where he'd been earlier, patting a second chair next to his. The pair sat down as San dumped his stuff next to him on the ground.

"So," Wooyoung said quietly as the others resumed their own conversations.

"Seonghwa, as you know, is my best friend," he said, subtly gesturing in the other's direction. San nodded.

"Hongjoong is his ex boyfriend, and my other friend," Wooyoung continued. San raised his eyebrows, glancing between the pair across the room.

"His ex???" San repeated in a whisper, a hint of confusion in his tone.

"Mhm. They ended things on good terms, I think," Wooyoung replied, San still watching the two chat normally.

San and Wooyoung began to converse about the day's events, sharing a bag of gummy candy that was originally San's.
After a short while, Seonghwa strode over, taking a seat across from the couple.

"Hey," Wooyoung greeted, holding out the bag in offerance to the taller boy. Seonghwa gladly took one, before leaning back in his chair.

"So," Seonghwa started, making eye contact with San, "care to tell me why you're dating this loser?" he inquired, a mischievous smile on his face.

"I'll kill you," Wooyoung whispered at Seonghwa, causing San to break out into laughter.

San wrapped an arm around Wooyoung's shoulder, seeing the younger now pouting.

"I think you should be asking him that question," San said, seeing a smile hesitantly form on his boyfriend's face.

"I'm dating San because he made me coffee once," Wooyoung stated, monotone. San looked at him with fake offense.

"How dare you," San responded, the grin on his face showing the true emotions of the boy.

"I cook for you all the time, and yet..." Seonghwa trailed off, a joking lament in his voice. The other two laughed at the comment, the boy's tone comparable to a drama actor.

Seonghwa turned to his phone to answer a text, immediately causing Wooyoung to give him a teasing look.

"Texting him?" Wooyoung asked, Seonghwa rolling his eyes at the question.

"Seonghwa has a fat man-crush on that guy you said you know," Wooyoung commented. Seonghwa immediately looked up from his phone.

"You know Yeosang?" he spoke, making San feel a bit put on the spot.

"Um, I went to middle school with him. He was an, uh, interesting guy," San explained. Seonghwa nodded in understanding, despite looking like he wanted to ask further. He let the topic drop.

"Wooyoung's going home today, yeah?" Seonghwa questioned, shoving his phone in his pocket.

"Yeah. He says he doesn't want me to come with him, though," San complained, clearly believing that wasn't the best decision.

"Listen! I know my mom's apology seemed weird and sudden, but... let's just look at it this way: If she was telling the truth then nothing happens to me. If she was lying and I show up with you then shit happens to both of us," Wooyoung reasoned, although the look on San's face said he still disagreed.

"What if San just stays in the area near your house?" Seonghwa proposed. San seemed to visibly agree with that, gesturing at the boy as if to signal he's had a good idea.

"Yeah, okay, but my house isn't that close to his. I don't want to make him wait around outside for ages," Wooyoung replied.

"I live close to you. He can hang out at my place for a while, yeah?" Seonghwa offered, placing a hand on San's shoulder. San found a small smile rising on his face as he found himself starting to warm up to the elder.

"Smart man," San joked, glancing at Seonghwa. "I can go steal your best friend and if things go wrong with you I'll come get you. Sounds good?"

Wooyoung huffed. "Fine. I'll just text you if I need something. Seonghwa, don't show him any weird pictures of me," he ordered, the older boy shaking his head.

"Well there goes my plans," he said, San snickering at the comment. Wooyoung was beginning to regret introducing the two.

"Hwa, can you come help me with this?" Hongjoong's voice came, causing the other to look across the room at him.

"Coming!" Seonghwa said, before sending the other two an apologetic look as he stood up and sped over to the other boy.

Wooyoung and San shared a look, unsure of what to talk about at this point.

"San, uh, can I ask something?" Wooyoung started, San immediately nodding in reply.

"Are you out to your parents?" he questioned, a bit hesitantly as if trying to use caution with the subject.

San slowly nodded. "I told my mom a little while ago, I guess I forgot to tell you."

Wooyoung blinked. "Forgot to... wait, it was while I knew you? How long ago are we talking?" he questioned, his curiosity winning over his thoughts.

Now San felt a bit flushed. "Do you remember that night when I came over to your house the first time? And later on I was texting you to make sure everything was good with your mom?"

It was now Wooyoung's turn to nod. "Yeah? And you randomly left the chat because you said you had to call your m..."

Wooyoung instantly shut up, the connection being made in his head.

"Then?? Why then?! What's with the timing??!" he said, almost exasperated at this information.

A sheepish smile rose to San's face. "Because, um, I knew I wanted to ask you out by then... I needed to see how my mom would react."

Wooyoung's expression went blank. "You.. you what?" he said, now blatantly thinking over past moments.

"Hold on! So, wait..." Wooyoung said, San laughing at the shaken look of the younger boy. "How long have you... known that... you liked me?" he gathered the nerve to ask, albeit a bit less loud than anything else he'd said.

"I think I kinda realized I did ever since that day when Seonghwa went over to your house. Remember that?"

"What the fuck?" Wooyoung couldn't stop himself from saying. "That long??" he said in disbelief, now mentally sorting through all of San's actions at the time.

"Wait! So when you thought that Hwa gave me those marks..." Wooyoung mentioned, causing San to tense a bit at the awkward assumption he'd made.

"Shut up I was not jealous," San cut in, causing an evil smile to work its way onto Wooyoung's face.

"My San was jealousss," Wooyoung now flaunted, seeing San cross his arms in embarrassment.

"Sorry to interrupt this but Wooyoung you're kinda sitting on my worksheet..."

Both San and Wooyoung turned at the voice, seeing the now awake Jongho standing behind the two.

"Oh! Sorry," Wooyoung said, awkwardly getting up and seeing that he had been, in fact, sitting on Jongho's sheet of paper.

"Thanks man, get back to your date," Jongho have the two a thumbs up before wandering away.

The couple now felt a bit too awkward to hold eye contact with each other, keeping their gazes on the floor.

The sound of Seonghwa and Hongjoong's chatting soon became the only sound in the room, with Korea's most awkward couple now embarrassed into silence.

Things wouldn't remain like this for long, however. It would take a lot to keep Wooyoung and San from being too loud.
