The Meeting
This one is from the perspective of HeartBreak, who BTW, had been renamed Sea Star by her dad. It's been two years.
"Dad!" Sea Star complained as Seafoam adjusted the seaflower he'd put in her hair. Sea Star had enchanted it so that it never wilted, and she'd had it for two weeks already. He shushed her. "We're going to an inter-tribal meeting at the Rainforest, so you have to look nice. Sea Star frowned. "How come Queen Sunburst is making us Seawings come?" She asked. Seafoam stiffened at the queens name. "Because." He said. Sunburst had decided to become queen after all. And she swore that she would not have any more affairs. Or dragonets. Sea Star didn't know much about this, but she knew that Sunburst had fallen in love and then given her dragonet to her lying fiance. She didn't want to be that dragonet. Anemone, who had become queen, swept into the room. "Time to go!" She said shrilly. Sea Star rolled her eyes. She thought her Aunt Anemone was a pushover. Seafoam followed the queen, Sea Star behind him. She was more excited than she let on. She wanted to see the Rainforest so bad. And now she was getting to.

When they arrived, alighting on a platform where three other tribes were clustered, Sea Star looked around in amazement. There was so much color, so much light, so much movement. Queen Sunburst came onto a platform that was higher than the others, looking regal with her swirled scales. Seafoam stiffened yet again. Sea Star nudged him. "What's up with you?" She whispered. Her dad shook his head. "Nothing." He said. "Just....Been a while since I've seen the queen." Sunburst spoke, saying that the tribes would be staying for a week to try and learn as much as they could about the peaceful ways of the Rainwings. Sea Star rolled her eyes. Blah blah blah. She thought. Can we cut to the exploring part? When Sunburst was done, Sea Star said goodbye to her dad and flew off to explore.

Sunbursts POV-
Stepping off the platform, Sunburst stretched her wings. Now twelve years old, she was queen and enjoying her life. She'd searched the Seawings, inspecting their group carefully, but she hadn't spotted Seafoam or her daughter. She figured that was a relief. Kiwi looked at her with questioning eyes. Her sister had become one of her greatest companions. Sunburst shrugged. "Same deal as always." She said. Kiwi smiled. "Get to know the peaceful ways of the Rainwings?" She asked. Sunburst sighed. "Not my idea." She replied. Kiwi folded her wings. "So.....You are not at all worried about running into the dragon who broke your heart but you still gave your dragonet too?" She asked. She hit a sore spot. Sunburst had built a wall around that part of her heart, and whenever anyone mentioned her past relationship, she tended to get a little protective. "No. I'm not." She snarled. Kiwi stepped back. "Okay. You should probably go, y'know, mingle?" Sunburst sighed but still went, weaving between the different dragons. Her heart almost stopped when she spotted familiar pale green scales. He's here? She thought. Oh crud. Seafoam looked around, spotting her. She looked away immediately, but he still came over. She tried to smile at him, but she couldn't. "Hey." She said, sitting down and putting her tail over her talons. He swallowed. "Hey." Sunburst tried to sit tall and regal, but seeing this dragon brought back memories, good and bad. She cleared her throat. "How are you?" She asked slowly. He grimaced. "I know you're trying to ask about her." He said. Sunburst nodded. Seafoam looked down. "Sea Star's fine." He said. Sunburst looked at him. "Sea Star?" He nodded. "I thought it would be a better name than HeartBreak." Sunburst felt tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry." She whispered. "I never should have done what I did. None of it." Seafoam smiled sadly. "Neither should I. But I did. And what's done is done." Sunburst nodded, a single tear sliding down her cheek. Seafoam tentatively stepped forward and wrapped his wings around her. She closed her eyes, feeling just like she had the night she'd told him 'I love you'. She buried herself in his wings, enjoying the feeling of his scales. "I love you still." She whispered, barely audible. But Seafoam heard anyway. "I love you more." He said quietly. "Dad?" Said a confused voice behind them. Sunburst jumped away to see her dragonet. The urge to wrap her in her wings and keep her there forever was almost unbearable. Seafoam swallowed uncomfortably.
"What are you doing?" She asked. Seafoam glanced at Sunburst. "I.." Seafoam had no words. Sunburst stepped forward. "Hello." She whispered. "I'm so, so sorry." Sea Star looked confused. Then her eyes widened. "I remember.........Someone saying that to me........When I was little." She looked at Sunburst. "You're my..." She trailed off. "Aren't you?" Sunburst nodded, tears flowing freely. Sea Star had tears of her own. "What?" She whispered. "How could you leave me like that? How?" Sunburst hung her head. "I didn't want to, believe me. But it was better if you were raised by your father. Not me." Sea Star back away. "No.." She whispered. She grabbed a pineapple and flung it at her mother, but it stopped halfway. "Seafoam.." Sunburst asked. He stopped it with magic. "Don't blame her. It's my fault. So blame me, and do whatever you want to me. Because I deserve it." Sunburst knew he was talking to her now. She looked at him. "I won't ever leave again." She said. Then she showed him her talon, where the pearly ring was slipped on.
Hi! This one is long, and I realize I have a mean streak. But, now we have a happy family again. So yay! Well, almost. And Sunburst is the QUEEN! DOUBLE YAY!! Stay flappy
