Eclipse sat with her talon on her chin, her face smeared with ink. Sleet sat next to her, looking at the three boards she had covered with theories about her memories. She squinted at one of them. "I don't have the memories all the time." She said, scribbling it onto a fresh board. "Only when I'm near the dragon that owns them." Sleet frowned. "Ok," He said. "Do you have some of my memories right now?" Eclipse nodded absently. "Yes. But they're faint, partly because I have learned how to block some memories, partly because your memories are always around when you are, so I'm used to them." Sleet frowned deeper. "We really need to figure this out, E." He said. "Because this is dangerous." Eclipse looked at him. "I know! Why do you think I do this, and have been doing this for the past year? I know that if I'm interrogated I can give away information from other dragons memories!" Sleet backed up. "Sorry, I know. I just think that maybe we're missing something." Eclipse sighed, yawning. Peeking up the shute, she cursed under her breath. "What?" Eclipse started worming out of the tunnel. "The sun is almost up." She said. Sleet raced towards the shute and gave her a boost. Eclipse pulled Sleet out then bolted home, still light footed. She sprang into the air and grabbed a berry or two on her way home, then landed on the platform and collapsed right on the corner, asleep. 

When she woke up, it was late afternoon. Sunburst was sitting with the new egg, eyes closed. Eclipse stood up and stretched, tail swinging back and forth. She dropped off the platform onto a lower tree and climbed deep into the branches, wrapping her tail around one. She shifted her position and a muffled 'Ow!' Came from underneath her. Eclipse jumped back, started. Sleet climbed up so he was face to face with her. She snarled, a headache springing as his memories entered her mind. Sleet frowned. "What are you doing here?" Eclipse demanded. Sleet shrugged. Eclipse paced back and forth, her head aching. She growled. "What?" Sleet asked, looking worried. Eclipse growled again, sitting down. "I think there are a lot of dragons nearby, because there are about a million memories about to split my skull right now." She snarled. Sleet took a step back. "Ok, ok." He said, then took her talon in his own. Eclipse jerked, startled by the contact. Sleet led her out of the tree, stepping carefully onto the platform. Sunburst opened one eye sleepily. "Eclipse is that you?" She asked, then froze when she saw Sleet. Eclipse pulled her talon from his, stepping in front of him with her teeth gritted against the impact of all the memories. Sunburst slowly got up. "Who is this?" She asked, her voice low. Eclipse opened her mouth to speak, but only a growl escaped. Sunburst looked at her. Eclipse shook her head, laying down and clasping her talons onto her horns. Sunburst looked terrified, her scales pale white. She whirled on Sleet. "What did you do to her?" She demanded. Sleet raised his wings in alarm. "I-I didn't do anything, I promise!" Sunburst looked suspicious, but she crouched down near her daughter. Eclipse had tears streaming down her face. She moaned, and SUnburst paled even more. She took a deep breath, then turned to Sleet. "If you let anything happen to her, I will personally tear your throat out." She threatened. Sleet gulped and nodded, standing guard over Eclipse. Sunburst jumped into the air to get Seafoam and Sea Star. Eclipse moaned again, looking at Sleet with pained eyes. She gasped, then forced out five words. "The.....Tribes.....Are......Coming........Now!" She cried, then went limp. Sleet flew up and looked over the trees. A group of dragons like none others he had seen before were coming towards them. He raced back down and resumed guard over Eclipse again. She opened her eyes, looking at him. He took her talon in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It'll be alright." He mumbled. Then the dragons were upon them.
