Chapter Four: 66

9th of January, 17 AJ

Time: 0700

Location: A meditation chamber onboard the Shadow

POV: Lilly, age 23

Lilly felt the plants of Glaskin blow in the fair wind, even as she was billions of light years away. She felt the hot sands of her home world of Jakku, even though they were on the other side of the galaxy. She felt the people of Mandalore, the people of her tribe, waiting for their queen to return. When she was last here, she rejoined Smoke, although not as his apprentice, but as a friend. She had been crowned queen of her tribe, the Fireshots, after she was able to risk the tomb of Eragon and retrieved Brisingr, his sword. Her people had prospered. She had met her true mother and found out that she had a brother. He was her closest friend whenever she was on Mandalore. She had led her people in the conquest of the wilds and took much land for her tribe. Then, the Empire came. They razed everything to the ground. They had fought back, but it was no use. The Empire had conquered them, much to their dismay. Now, they longed for their rightful ruler to return and free them. Days ago, Lilly had sensed that the Darksaber had found a new owner, a Mandalorian who went by the name of Sabine Wren. Lilly remembered the Wrens, a family of honor bound warriors. Lilly quieted her mind again and tried to find the girl. She heard the song of the Darksaber, even though it didn't belong to her anymore. She felt a shadow wrapping its hand around it and yanking it from the girl's hand. The shadow was taking it as a trophy. The girl was bound and desperate for help. She had friends with her, two force users, that was certain, and two other friends. Lillie opened her eyes.

"Thank you Master for showing me that I still had a purpose in the Empire."

Shatelle opened an eye. "I didn't do anything. That was all you, my young friend. Feel free to call upon me anytime you wish, I don't mind. But if you are going to face a Sith, remember this, it can be useful to stoke their anger, but don't overdo it."

"Thank you, once again, for this gift." Hope looked at S-her lightsaber. It used to be Satelle's, but now it sung to her.

Lilly tucked the double bladed saber away and walked to the bridge. Scope greeted her and smirked.

"We've been getting word of a Rebellion. What do you think will happen if we jump into system where the Rebellion's failing at an attack and give 'em fire support?"

"It'll scare the shit out of them. So, no. But I do know where we can help."

"Let me guess, you found out through meditation?"

"Yep. A rebel cell has been captured by some shadow. They've took the Darksaber and is going to hang it up like a trophy."

Scope's face grew determined. "Even though we're clones, me and the boys will not let that happen. It belongs to Mandalore and Mandalore alone. Mandalore's our second home."

Lilly smirked at the fervor Scope showed and she walked into the bridge. Smoke was meditating, so he couldn't stop Lilly.

"Make way for Lothal. Rescue op. Keep it quiet."

A clone responded. "Understood ma'am. Setting hyperdrive. I'll let the boys know, but we'll keep it to you. Imperial activity detected around Lothal. Warming up the guns."

Lilly chuckled. "They won't know what hit them."

The stars stretched, then they jumped into hyperspace. Smoke came onto the bridge.

"Where are we headed?"

Lilly told him that they were going to Lothal to sightsee in the Ancient Language and he shrugged. She couldn't have lied.

The half truth. We're going to "sightsee" the strength of the Imperial forces based here. Lilly looked down at her necklace. Saphira was inside of it, her body long gone. Blueberry was also inside of it. Lillie remembered bonding with the dragon way back when she was a toddler in her "parents" care and Blueberry was a dragonette. Blueberry back then had a blueberry in her mouth when Lillie reached out to pet her. She remember the shock, and she remembered laughing at Blueberry's confused look. Then, the slaver came. They tricked her parents into letting her go, but she refused. She remember saying "brisingr" and the man was engulfed in flames. Her parents were mortified, but then a clone shot the slaver. The clone explained what was going on and her parents had hugged her close. The clones didn't realize that she was Force sensitive, only magic.

The clones left and it was only a year before total tragedy struck. A Sith, no, monster. A monster had waltzed into town and felt that it was worth killing. Her parents tried to stop the beast, but it was useless. Lilly remembered watching her parents get choked to death before her. When the monster snapped their necks, Lilly had lost it. She had pushed the thing with the Force and that set him back several steps. He strode forwards and Lilly knew she had made a mistake. Good thing her mom was able to send a message when the killing started. Clones shot at the thing and a Jedi locked blades with it. She remembered the flash of red and purple, the sound of plasma clashing. She had felt glad when Master Windu struck down that thing. But then she felt sorrow. She had knelt before her parents and weeped. Master Windu then placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and mourned the loss of life. She then stood up and walked onto the gunship with determination strong as steel. Windu then brought her to the Temple and was given a fresh start.

Thank you, Master. You have given me the chance to right this wrong and free the galaxy.

Lilly looked out the viewport and walked over to the hanger. Time to kill some baddies.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lilly was hidden in the crowd as the Sith taunted his prisoners. He made little cuts into their flesh that sickened her. The crowd cheered.

One of them shouted, "Kill the traitors!" and dozens of people started to cheer louder.

The Sith turned around and smiled. He looked at the two Jedi who were bound by electro cuffs and sneered. "I would kill you two in one to one combat, but my Stormtroopers captured you with ease! You're not worth my time." He lifted his blade to the girl's chin. "You, my sweet Mandalorian girl. Where's your sense of honor?"

"There's no honor serving the Empire."

She's right.

The Sith put his blade under the Jedi with eyesight's chin. "Because you're not worth my time, I'll let you say your final words. What will they be?"

The boy looked the Sith right in the eye. "The Light Side will never die."

Absolutely. And now's my chance.

Lillie, flooded with power, Voidwalked to close the gap between her and the Sith. She grabbed her lightsaber's hilt and stood there. "I'm worth your time, you useless bag of trash."

The Sith responded without looking at her. "That isn't a very Jedi thing to say." He spun around and was met with an emerald blade.

Through the lock, she looked at the Sith. With a snarl, she declared, "I'm no Jedi." She never was. She was a descendant of Revan.

She dove into the Dark Side. She used its quick inferno of power to strengthen every part of her being. She slammed into the Sith's defence again and again and he eventually was forced to drop his Lightsaber. Lilly didn't give him a chance to say anything.

She stabbed her blade into his heart and he died. Lilly retreated from the shadows and used the Force to grab the blades that weren't his. She freed the rebels and they ran. Lilly effortlessly blocked any shots that came their way with the Force and she still had massive amounts of strength left to spare. The six of them sprinted up the ramp to a ship Lilly had never seen and they began to take off. Black Squad leaped on right before the ramp closed. They took off their helmets and breathed a sigh of relief. They tensed up, however, when three lightsabers ignited.

Lilly stepped in front of the clones and raised her hands. "Calm down. I don't see why you're so afraid of clones, given how you fought with them." She looked right at the blind Jedi.

The blind man bared his teeth. "That's the problem. They're clones." He said the word with so much spite, Lilly didn't know what to say. Scope did.

"What happened? What did us clones do to you?"

The man extinguished his blade. The others did too. In a calmer, but more sorrowful tone, he spoke.

"You weren't here when the order was issued, where you? Order 66. The order all clones had implanted in them when they were born. The order that destroyed the Jedi order."

Lilly almost dropped her lightsaber. "Y-you don't need to say any more. We know what happened, just by the context you've given us. I'm so sorry, you lost someone close, didn't you?"

He nodded and Lilly thought fast.

"Do you have a room where we can talk without being eavesdropped?"

"My room. Follow me." He walked into a hallway and slipped into a plain room.

They sat down together and Lilly sighed. She decided to be blunt with it.

"You lost your master, didn't you."

Kanen opened his mouth in surprise, but then closed it. He nodded and felt Lilly touch him on the shoulder. She had delved into his mind to find out the names of the crew.

"I'm so sorry for your loss. But your training of Ezra's a wonderful accomplishment. Be proud of it. Remember, you've got friends and hope. Hold onto them and they'll see you through this darkness."

Kanen was taken by surprise again, but this time had something to say. ".... You're much wiser then I remember you to be."

"Lot's changed. I'm more mature. I've had a lot more life defining moments. People change." Lilly got up to leave. Before she did however, she looked at the man. "Thanks for the chat, old friend."

There was no response. She left and bumped into the Mandalorian, Sabine Wren.

"Oh, uh, thanks. I honestly thought we were dead."

Lilly smirked. "Don't sweat it. Also, keep a hold of the Darksaber better. And here, a number to call if you need an angel." She gave the girl a card with a number and she tucked it way. It was for Fallen Angels.

"Thanks. I'll be sure to remember it."

Lilly patted her on the back, then walked into the hanger. Their dropship was attached to the bottom of the hanger and Lilly changed into her Guardian armor. Black Squad joined her and they detached from the freighter. They made their way to the Shadow, Smoke's flag ship and docked. Smoke was there to reprimand her, or so she thought. He actually hugged her and whispered something very private, just for her.

"Lil. Don't run off like that. I care for you and I want to keep you safe, even if it means I break the Code."

She whispered back. "You can't do that, keep me safe. Not when the Empire's at play. But we can be together. That's for sure."

They released each other and separated, for the time being. It wouldn't be long before they saw each other.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The room was dark and quiet. Lilly rested her head on Smoke's bare chest. He ran a hand through her midnight hair and she smiled. She could feel the heat from his body on her bare skin and she felt like she was in a trance. She moved her head so that it rested between his head and shoulder, then she laid down on top of him. She could feel his skin brushing up against hers and she felt his body shake in response. She hugged him and he hugged her back and she felt his ring on his finger.

They had married, but no one knew. The two kissed for a long time and she eventually chuckled and they rolled over. He was on top of her and she was grinning madly. She began to toy around with his hair as he hugged her.

This is a wonderful feeling. I'm glad I chose Smoke to be with me forever.

He rolled off and they fell asleep.

Her mind wound down and she began to dream. It was her in the desert at night freezing until Smoke lied down next to her. She cuddled closer to him for warmth and didn't realize that she had actually snuggled closer with him.
