Wing Thirteen: Signs At The Camera.

I scratched my head and looked up at the car roof. The grey like light carpet that covered the roof made an interesting pattern. I watched the thin lines go in and out of focus. I pulled the strings on the small yellow bag that held some basic supplies; a water bottle, keys to the house, a charger, and my pair of secret headphones. It was a gift my best friend, Hyori, as a congratulations gift.
Speaking of Hyori...Where was she and Yuri now? I've been trying to grab a hold of them, but they've always been too busy.
"Coffee?" Hyori spit out the word 'coffee' with so much venom when i asked her if she wanted to grab some.
"It doesn't have to be coffee!" I sat back from my relaxed position on the couch. I kicked off my feet and instantly stood up. "It could be anything!"
Mina who was standing at the counter holding a mug in her hand. A long pause came over the phone as mumbling erupted in the background.
"It's fine. I'm not ready a coffee person." Laughter in the distance was picked up. "Babe, you know I love you and all but I'm busy. Just because you're an idol now doesn't mean that you can control time."
"But I-Yes, Unnie. You're right."
"See ya, I need to go now." She quickly hung up as I let the phone and myself drop back onto the couch.
Mina raises her eyebrows and looked at me "This isn't going to end well"
My eyes snap away from the grey celling. A frown appeared onto my lips. I carefully diverted my eyes to Mina. The girl was softly singing a song while being shoved by Tzuyu and Nayeon. "Come on guys, knock it off."
They shrugged their shoulders and started a normal conversation. Mina thanked me and I nodded to her. I turned back forward in my seat.
'I didn't tell her that her time wasn't as important as mine.' My frown grew more intense. 'Why was she acting like this..w-was it me?'
I stopped my train of thought and moved around my tongue in my mouth. I fumbled with the bag.
'No way it's me.' I reassured myself after many bad images and memories played in my mind. Were they distraught about not being an idol? Are they angry that someone as childish as me actually placed so high?
Always in our group; I was the childish one. The 'baby of the group', if you could say. I had always Hyori and Yuri right by my side. They were like two older sisters I've never had. Someone I could turn to for protection. For nights my parents were arguing. For nights when I felt like a burden.
'I'll make it up to them. I'll fix this all.'
"Briar unnie?" Jeongyeon tapped my shoulders. I turned to the shorthaired girl. "Is everything okay? You've been sitting their like a statue without a smile.."
"Of course!" I chiseled a smile onto my face. One of the purest smiles I could concur, I threw it onto my face. She relaxed and smiled back.
"Ah! I'm sorry for mistaking!" She apologized.
"It's alright!"
She giggled. "Are you excited?"
"For what?"
"For Weekly Idol!" She cried. I hit my head and laughed.
"How could I forget." I looked at her. "I heard 'Gfriend', 'Astro' and two other group is going to be their with us."
"BtoB and Got7" Momo's head jumped between us. I jumped and looked at the blond with bangs.
"I was going to answer that. You're not even included in the conversation!" Jeongyeon wined. Momo pushes her head and Dahyun's voice from the back seat yelled
"We're all now included."
"Exclude yourself"
I laughed out loud and pushed Jeongyeon lightly.
"Too bad we're here" Chaeyoung who was next to Dahyun pointed out. Jeongyeon wines louder and I promised her we'll hang out later.
Everyone slowly crawled out of the van and slowly made their way into the building. Sadness unnie guiding the way, she told the receptionist about us and she told us to head into the 48th floor. We all tried to crawl into the small elevator, but it unfortunately was left for me, Sana and Nayeon to stay on the ground floor.
"Remember guys." Sadness unnie sternly told us. "Stay together, 49th floor and down the hall to you're left."
"We've been here before." Nayeon stated.
"True, but this is a different building." Replied Sadness.
I rolled my eyes. "We're not teenagers, we know how to get to a room unnie."
"Just making sure, I'm leaving the three babies of the group behind."
"When does this elevator close already?" I said frustrated. Everyone laughed as the doors finally closed.
Sana turned to me and smirked "Be lucky, Briar Unnie! You're apart of the 'baby line'!"
"Yah!" I shrieked. "I'm older then you!" We all erupted into giggles and waited for another elevator to arrive. Unfortunately they went up and down so slowly.
"Aish. Why is it so slow?" Nayeon scratched her head and looked at me. I shrugged my shoulder and looked down at outfit. Like the others, my legs were showing. I had a dark blue skirt that had three zipper on the side of it. My top was a light pink baggy shirt that was tucked into my skirt. I had on white sneakers with white dress shoes. My dark hair stayed normal but it was slightly curled at the end.
A yell behind us caused both Sana and Nayeon cried out. I lightly jumped and turned around to be faced with BtoB. I covered my mouth to hide my laugh and bowed at them.
"You scared us, Oppa" Nayeon laughed as the elevator finally came down.
"Ladies first." Their manager said and let the three of us head into the elevator first with them. It was a tight squeeze but we all fit.
"You ladies are okay?" Chang-sub asked. "Everyone comfortable?"
"Yes, yes" we answered. I was pressed up against II-hoon and Shin.
Eunkwang spoke up out of nowhere. "No, I'm not next to my bias."
Everyone laughed as we headed out the elevator and down the hallway. Shin held the door open and we walked in first. We thanked them and went to find our groups.
'Four groups today...oh lord save us all"
