During the day, the asphalt all over town is covered by the intense sunrays of July and even after the sun has set, its presence could still be felt. Even just standing around makes you gradually sweat, but the feeling of freedom after club activities finish briefly makes you forget the uncomfortable heat.  Particularly today, something was a bit different from usual.
"Having a training camp in Hawaii at the start of summer vacation, our basketball club really is rich!" said Kise Ryouta cheerfully in front of the convenience store as he splits a bag of popsicles.
That's right.  In August, the first string regulars of the Teiko basketball club will be heading to a national middle school tournament, also known as Zenchuu.  Serving as both a strengthening camp and interleague match, they will be departing for Hawaii tomorrow.  To Kise and the rest of the Generation of Elements, who had just joined the club this past spring, it was going to be their first training camp and was highly looking forward to it.  Kuroko Tetsuya also felt the same as he was just promoted to the first string this past spring as well. 
"This will be my first time riding an airplane."
"Eh?! Then could this be your first time going overseas too?!"  Kise looked at Kuroko with a surprised face.  "So there are people like that nowadays..."
"Kise-kun, sometimes you're naturally sarcastic aren't you."
"What does that mean?!" said a flustered Kise.  Next to him who chugged down his cylinder popsicle was Aomine Daiki, who grinned widely. 
"Tetsu, do you know? Before you get on the plane you have to do a full body check."
"I know."
"You might be turned away in Hawaii for illegal entry because your presence is so weak and you boarded the plane without the official seeing you." Blaze laughed.
Kuroko was speechless at first, but then realized when Aomine and Blaze continued to smirk at him.
"Aomine-kun, Blaze san, I won't be fooled by that."  He glared and narrowed his eyes at them.
"That's right.  That theory just now is impossible," said Midorima Shintaro.  He raised the center of his glasses, "The full body check is done by going through a gate-like machine, so no matter what you say to Kuroko kun there's no way he wouldn't be noticed.  If he can get through Japan's departure inspection, there shouldn't be any issue regarding illegal entry." Skye explained.
"You know, don't respond to our joke so seriously.  It'd be boring you know..."  Aomine slumped his shoulders with an astonished expression.
"You two love birds always acting so serious" Blaze sighed.
"Hey!"
"But you know~ in Kurochin's case, isn't it possible the entry inspection person to not notice him? In that case if you think about it he'd be forcibly sent back won't he~?" said Murasakibara Atsushi.  But rather than what he said, Midorima's attention was drawn to the two popsicles in his fingers and two in Lyrics fingers.
"Murasakibara, Lyric, why are you eating two popsicles?  Didn't we agree each person gets to buy one?!"
"Eh~ But Akachin gave me his.  Right?" Murasakibara looked at Akashi Seijuro next to him, who was standing quietly.
"And Alaskachin gave me hers aswell~" lyric looked at Alaska, who was next to Akashi.
"Yes.  Murasakibara and Lyric said 'One isn't enough so I'm going to go buy another box' so I told him I'll give him mine to resist it." They both said in unison, and smiled each other.
"See~" the two giants smirked.
"Don't 'see~' me. You're supposed to be tolerating with just one!"
"Eh~"  said an annoyed Murasakibara and Lyric as they ate their two popsicles in one gulp.  "Thanks for the food.  Well then, I'm going home~ I gotta prepare for tomorrow~"  and he left while smoothly avoiding Midorima's questioning. 
"Me too, Jaa nee" lyric waved and walked off.
"Sheesh if those guys came with us..."  even though he pressed his eyebrows together he said, "If it's training camp preparations it can't be helped," and his anger disappeared.
Everyone else except Midorima and Skye could guess that Murasakibara's "preparations" were preparing the snacks he would bring.  If they told Midorima and Skye this they would get angry again so everyone kept their mouth shut.
"Well, I'll be going home too," said Midorima without realizing the secret consideration from his friends. 
"You're right. Also it's tomorrow.  It'd be good if we all head home early."  Akashi looks at everyone for agreement.  Alaska and Akashi notices Kise like a parent when Kise answers a reluctant "Yes..."
"What's wrong Kise?  Are you dissatisfied with something?"
"It's not that I'm dissatisfied but, since it's a training camp isn't it okay to be a bit more excited about it?  Akashicchi and Midorimacchi seem so indifferent about it..."  Kise pouted.
"Of course.  This isn't a vacation trip.  It's clearly a training camp," said Midorima as he raised the center of his glasses.
"That's true.  But it's Hawaii.  You should be excited?  And stuff like that..." Ivy said who regularly joined the conversation.  Hearing this, Alaska and Akashi let out a chuckle.
"Don't worry you two. Once we go you'll understand."
"Understand what?"
"No matter where Teiko has their training camp, what we do never changes.  And that's only to strive to do our utmost best in our practices." 
"U-utmost best...?!" Kise's and Ivy's face twitched. 
They smiled at Kise and Ivy as if he was telling them something.  That smile, was rather scary as if it was saying how intense the training camp is.  Looking away from the now speechless Kise and Ivy, Alaska looked towards Kuroko.  "So Kuroko kun, you don't need to have any worries about packing.  For now if you have your practice clothes and passport there'll be no problems."
"...I understand."  Kuroko gulped without thinking, secretly realizing his new fear of the pressure of the camp.  Then Aomine suddenly wrapped his arm around his and Blaze's neck.
"There's no point in making a fuss about it now right?  Anyway tomorrow is Hawaii!"  As if being lured by Aomine's grin, Kuroko also smiled and made Blaze smiled
"You're right." He nodded.
"Can't wait!" She replied.
With worries and excitement weaved together, the Hawaii training camp finally begins.
