"Two days. We haven't been out of here in two whole days. I'm going insane!" Ziva dropped back on her bed after making that grumbled statement.

Craig, who was lying on the floor reading the copies of the papers that Skylar had recreated from memory, looked up at her. "It's given me time to go through the notes in these papers. From what I can get out of them, they were never able to work out the problems with the formula. Even if Lenny gets his hands on some of it, it would end up killing most of the mutants he uses it on. How does that help him grow an army?"

"Maybe he has other plans?" Skylar said looking between them.

"Other plans? Like what Skylar, kill a few mutants so everyone else gets scared and joins his stupid army?" Ziva rolled to her side and propped her head in her hand, giving Skylar a skeptical look.

Skylar sighed. "He could be planning to wipe out us."

"Us?" Ziva asked.

"You know, the school and the X-Men." She shrugged.

Craig sat up, stacking the papers. "With Lenny, anything is a possibility."

Skylar took the papers from Craig and put them in her desk drawer. "Lenny was always kind of a jerk, but do you really think he'd kill other mutants to get everyone else to join him?"

"I have no idea. It's like we never really knew him. I don't know if what we knew about him was his real personality or some strange thing he came up with to make us like him," Craig said as he stood and stretched.

Skylar sighed heavily. "I still can't believe he did all of this. Yes, he was kind of a jerk, but he was still our friend." She looked at Craig. "I hope what we knew of him was real because if it wasn't it would just suck."

Ziva watched Craig as he stretched. Did he have to do that? It was becoming harder for her to ignore him. Dragging her eyes off Craig, she looked at Skylar. "So, what's our next move?"

"We figure out where to find Lenny and go after him," Craig answered her.

"Oh, right so we hope for a miracle," Ziva replied sarcastically.

Angela raced through the door. "Have you seen Logan?"

Ziva groaned, just what they needed, the curtain climbers riling Logan up. "No. What have you three done now?"

Angela sent her an innocent look. "Nooothing."

"Right, I believe that like I believe Lenny will become a Saint in the next five minutes."

Mellissa—followed by Stevie—both came racing into the room. "Angela, the Big Bad Wolf is on the prowl! We have to go before he starts huffing and puffing! Move, Little Red, move!"

A faint roar sounded from downstairs and the three raced from the room. Craig groaned. "Great, they've ticked Logan off. We'll never get out of here without him seeing us. He's probably prowling the building looking for those three."

"We aren't going anywhere anyway because we have no idea where Lenny even is!" Skylar pointed out.

"Good point."

Ziva was about to agree with Craig when Mellissa came running back into the room.

"We have an issssue!" she told them.

"An issue? What kind of issue?" Ziva asked her.

"The kind of issue where that A'Cadia chick is in the living room."

"You let her into the building?" Ziva bellowed at her.

"Well, she rang the doorbell, so yeah I did. Storm taught us to be polite. Are you gonna go talk to her or should I lead Logan to her?"

"You choose now to listen to something Storm taught you?" Skylar asked.

"We had better go down there before she steals the good silver or something," Ziva grumbled. "Let's go."

Craig frowned as he went for the door. "I wonder why she's here?"

"Who cares, let's get rid of her before Storm and Logan find out," Ziva said.

They entered the living room to find A'Cadia standing, uncomfortably, in the center of the room. She turned to face them when they entered and gave them a tentative smile. "Hello."

Skylar sent her a sunny smile in return. "Hi, what can we do for you?"

A'Cadia shifted from one foot to the other and clasped her hands together. "I had some questions and Lenny wouldn't answer them. I figured you might."

"Questions?" Craig asked her in confusion.

"When we met at the lab you compared me to someone called Wolverine. I wanted to know more about him."

Skylar's brows lifted. "We told you what we know. Logan is mostly a mystery. He doesn't tell anyone much about himself."

A'Cadia stared at them all for a long silent moment. "My mother has never told me anything about my father and I've always wondered who he is. When you compared the two of us ..." She trailed off and shrugged.

"That Logan might be your father?" Craig asked her.

She nodded. "It was a long shot, but I was hoping."

Skylar gave a loud sniffle. "Oh, that would be so sweet! We could reunite the two of you!"

Ziva rolled her eyes. "We don't even know if she's his daughter! This could be a trick!"

"How exactly did you end up with the adamantium skeleton?" Craig asked her.

"A man ... he came to me a few years ago. He said that I was unique and with my mutation, I would be able to withstand the process used to bond it to my skeleton. That it had been done before."

"And obviously you did." Ziva folded her arms over her chest.

She nodded. "Yeah, but the guy was a jerk. Everyone involved in the project was shady. They wanted a super soldier, a killer who followed orders and nothing else. I wasn't up for that so I split."

"Stryker. Was that the guy's name?" Skylar asked her.

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

She shrugged. "I have a good memory and I may have taken a little peek at a few old files at one time." She glanced at Craig and Ziva. "William Stryker was responsible for Logan's adamantium skeleton, but I thought he died."

A'Cadia frowned. "I don't know a William Stryker, the Stryker I knew was Mark."

Skylar scowled. "There is no Mark Stryker. William had one son, a mutant, who is also dead. This makes no sense."

A'Cadia shrugged. "All I know is the guy claimed he was Mark Stryker. Maybe he's a relative."

"I don't think it matters much right now," Craig told her.

Skylar was frowning, she opened her mouth to say more but Ziva waved her to silence. "What does this mean exactly, now you're on our side?" Ziva asked skeptically.

"Lenny's an idiot. He thinks he's God's gift to, well everything. I could take him out, but taking over might not be all that easy, not with the army he's collected. They might turn on me. But, if Logan is my father, I want a chance to be on the right side of things."

Skylar sniffled again. "That is so beautiful."

"Right, it has Lifetime movie written all over it," Ziva said with an eye roll.

Skylar shoved her shoulder. "Stop it, Ziva. Come on A'Cadia I'll find you a room!" Skylar took A'Cadia's hand and pulled her from the room.

Craig and Ziva watched them go. Craig sent Ziva a look. "Be nice to her, Ziva."

"Who me? I'm an absolute angel." She placed a hand against her chest and batted her eyelashes at him.

Craig made a sound that was similar to a tire releasing air. "Just behave. If she's Logan's daughter, you don't want to piss the Wolverine off."

"You've got a really good point there, however, I don't trust her. What if she's here to spy for Lenny?"

"I'm not saying we give her run of the place, just that we don't have to be overtly mean to her, that's all," Craig replied.

"Fine, I'll try. About all I can promise."

"Guess that's the best I can hope for," he said with a grin.

She slapped him on the arm. "Behave or I'll zap you."

"And I'll visit you in your dreams, baby." He wiggled his eyebrows at her.

"Do and die." She poked him in the chest.

He laughed, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her closer. "I could put you to sleep right now you know," he said quietly.

"And I could zap you," she whispered back.

They stood for a silent moment simply staring at each other. His eyes went to her mouth.

"Are you gonna like swap spit or something. Should we leave?"

Ziva jumped back from Craig and turned to face the curtain climbers. "No, we aren't."

Mellissa smirked at them. "Sure looked like it to us. Didn't it guys?"

Angela and Stevie both agreed with vigorous nods.

Ziva gave a small growl and stomped out of the room. She needed to decide if she wanted to stay here and go slowly insane or if she should leave and take her chances out in the world by herself. She was starting to like it here way too much. Correction. She liked one certain person here way too much. If she wasn't careful, she'd end up wanting to stay simply to be close to Craig, which was a bad idea.

If you let people inthey only disappointed you.
