Spinel, a gem at age 15, is driven to Gem Hero Academy, and academy for gems in training. "Here it is, my dreams, my motivation, my training" she stared at the school in awe as ever since she was little, she always wanted to go.
A giant woman with a white diamond on her forehead greeted the teen gem with a big smile. "Hello, you must be Spinel, I'm Headmistress White Diamond, and I'd love you to join our academy, Blue, Yellow, Pink, the routine" she clapped her hands as more diamonds appeared.
All: Come join us in the school, there's a room waiting for you.
Yellow: Come on.
Blue: Come on.
Pink: Come on.
All: Just let us adore you.
"Wow, do you do that with every student?" Spinel asked as she gave the four some applause.  "Yes, we know it so well" White replied.
A white gem with a cracked eye appeared in a white bubble, taking her bags. "I'll be taking these to your dorm room as my diamond requested" the gem said, going inside Spinel's dorm.
Spinel had entered the school looking Class P, the class she was assigned to. "Hello? Are you Pink Spinel?" A gem with a pearl and a colorful dress bowed to Spinel, opening the classroom door. "Everyone, this is Spinel".
Pearl: Ahem, How do you do

Thank you for bringing me into the world.

Welcome to your new Pearl.
"Uh, what the heck is going on?" Spinel asked the pearl.
"Oh you don't know yet, that's what she does" a boy wearing a red headband explained.
Pearl: A Ruby gem, but just a single one.
They tend to come in teams of three or more.
"She'll understand soon enough" a blue haired girl said in a sarcastic voice.
Pearl: A precious Sapphire.
She sees the future.
That's who the Ruby's for.
"Heh heh heh, Sapphire's my GF, but I'm not for her" Ruby giggled.  "My vision says that our relationship will grow every day" Sapphire replied. "You two" an orange gem boy chortled. "Are you.... a Garnet?" Spinel asked.
Pearl: Let me explain, You must be right

Something is clearly wrong,
"Thanks a lot pearl" the boy replied sarcastically. "Its just a joke Hessonite, get over it" Sapphire remarked. "She's right Hessonite, you are different from other Garnets, you're smarter" Ruby complimented the gem.
Pearl: Now finally, a verse for the new girl,  This will be fun.

"That's me!" Spinel cheered. "Nice to meet ya Spinel, I'm Tourmaline" a purple gem shook Spinel's hand vigorously. "Settle down class, since the year is starting, let's start with the basics, I am Pink Diamond, your teacher for the year, show me your powers" the pink diamond Spinel met earlier came into the classroom as she wrote her name on a whiteboard.
"Yes Pink Diamond, I have the power of fire, watch" Ruby summoned a fireball and threw it at the wall. "I have the power of ice, and future vision" Sapphire created ice on the floor bellow her desk. "My power, is electricity" littke bolts of lighting came out of Hessonite's fingers. "Spinel, what about you?" Pink asked. "My power... it's.... steering my body, watch" Spinel stretched her arm all around the room, impressing everyone.
"Fascinating!" a student said. "Wow!" another cheered. "You're unique Spinel, no other gem has your abilities, you are my prodigy" Pink Diamond explained. "Wow!!! Really Pink?" Spinel cheered. "Of coarse, how about we start some field training do you can bond as a team" Pink explained.
They headed to the field as a hologram version of Pink's Pearl appeared. "Level 1 activated, 3, 2, 1, go!!!" It said. "Alright, let's see, if Spinel stretches her arm and grabs one of those swords, Ruby sets it on fire, I man the sword and Sapphire tells me what do" Hessonite explained. Spinel stretched her arm towards the swords and handed one to Hessonite. "Hyya!!!" Ruby lit the sword on fire in anger. "I see this not going well, Hessonite will get hurt and we will fail" Sapphire explained.  "Sapphire!!! Where's your good  visions? You always say good things to me" Ruby yelled at his girlfriend. "That's because I care for you" Sapphire answered. "Hey!!!!!!!!!!!" Hessonite yelled as the three began to bicker. "Pery pery thrust!!" The holo pearl shouted, slashing at Hessonite. "Ngh" Hessonite layed down, being hit by the holo pearl.
Later on, Spinel was in her room, thinking about her team and how they'll all fall apart.
Spinel: Happily wondering.
Hour after hour.
Is this how it works?

Happily watching us drift away.
"Spinel, is everything ok?" Tourmaline asked. "No, I don't think I'm cut out for this, my team is fighting, I need to be alone" Spinal weeped as Tourmaline headed to the Headmistress' office.
"And she doesn't understand, she needs help" Tourmaline explained. "I guess sh3 does need help, she is new after all" White headed upstairs with the other diamonds.
All: Come join us in the quad.
There are friends waiting for you.
Blue: Come on.
Pink: Come on.
Yellow: Come on.
All: Just let them adore you.
Spinel walked up to her friends. "Ruby, Sapphire, Hessonite" Spinel embraced her new friends, as they laughed together.
