For the next few days, things were the same between the two Gems. Lapis did not wake, and Peridot complained to her and talked to her. Peridot was starting to like this... emotionless, expressionless, speechless person. She was only afraid of her when she woke up.

After all, as the Peridot-in-command with Jasper and Yellow Diamond, her face had been seen a lot by Lapis. She was screamed at as much and with as much vulgarity as the others, even though she rarely interacted with their prisoner. And now, after so long fighting Jasper... their prisoner was back.

Well, Peridot personally thought that they'd been held captive for too long. They possibly needed to just spread their wings a bit again. But they never seemed to wake up...

This changed a bit when, one day, the slightest groan flowed from Lapis' mouth. The bowl of water, which had sat stagnant collecting dust for the past days, began to ebb, drops of it spilling over onto the floor. Peridot jerked her head to look. "Lapis?"

Lapis tossed and turned, still in her deep slumber, and water splashed violently around the bowl. Peridot took it and set it on the high counter, screaming a little as she slipped and fell to the floor with a thud. At that moment, the Warp Pad reactivated, and the Gems came back from yet another mission. Just Peridot's luck.

"Peridot!" Garnet screamed, running over. "What happened?" Lapis was still convulsing in a scared manner. 

Peridot squeaked out "I-I don't know! She was just sitting here, then the water, a-and the shaking... i-it's not my fault!"

"We know it's not your fault..." Pearl ran to try to calm Peridot down, while Steven ran to Lapis' side.

"Lapis? C-can you hear me?"

The blue Gem's eyes snapped open.
