Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed

by all the feelings I went trough.

Like a war inside of me,

a cruel one.

One that left me cracked open,

unprotected.

The silence after the storm

was dragging me down.

Screaming at me,

drowning my thoughts

in ice cold water.

Alone in an ocean of fear,

trying to find the sky.

Light shining through the water,

unable to reach it.

Only a grasp of the sunshine

waiting for me at the surface.

I try to touch one ray,

try to feel the warmth

and sink even deeper...
