When Team RWBY reunited at the docks, they returned to their dorm to inform Yang and Weiss about the unknown group that had attacked Roman Torchwick, the White Fang, and ruined their operation so quickly.

Yang & Weiss: What!?

Blake: It's true. I was about to jump on him until those groups appeared out of nowhere and killed everyone except Roman, who was knocked out.

Weiss: Oh, Oum...

Ruby: I saw it too. It scares me when they kill people.

Blake: Not only that, but I also saw a white-armored man who is their leader and has a jetpack behind his back.

They were surprised that he had a jetpack. Ruby's eyes sparkled as she liked seeing a jetpack.

Ruby: I love jetpacks!

Weiss: You mean like in the movies?

Blake: I guess... But it's real.

Yang: Did you see them before they left?

Blake: Well, I managed to take a picture of them before their ship left so quickly. Here...

She grabbed her scroll and showed them a logo of an eagle inside a circle.

Yang: What is that?

Ruby: Some kind of eagle?

Weiss: Blake, are they from Atlas?

She responds by shaking her head.

Blake: No. They don't wear Atlas uniforms. Plus, there is a Faunus with them. I don't know who they are, but they captured Roman and killed the White Fang so easily. I feel like there's a new group that we don't know.

Then, Ruby decides what to do next.

Ruby: Alright, it's time for answers.

Yang: Yeah. By finding them and getting answers.

Weiss: And learning about them. They seem to be new people.

Blake: Yet, they killed them. So we must be cautious about them.

They agreed with each other that they would find the new group and seek answers about why they killed the White Fang and the reason for capturing Roman Torchwick.

Roman was sitting in his chair, being interrogated by GDI. He felt humiliated as his operation had failed, fearing Cinder would kill him for his failure. He lowered his head, contemplating what would happen next.

Behind the window, Jaune and Robert watched Roman as he lowered his head. Jaune looked at Robert and asked,

Jaune: So... Did he cooperate?

Robert: Nope. We're just about to start by beating him up until he gives us an answer.

Jaune: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not resort to violence, bro. We have to find out who is behind all of this in a more diplomatic way.

Robert: What if he refuses?

Jaune: Then you can resort to force.

Robert responded by cracking his fists with a smirk.

Robert: Oh yeah. Let's do this.

Roman waited for someone to come into the room until Jaune and Robert entered the interrogation room. He sat down at the chair, looking up at them. Jaune spoke to him.

Jaune: So... How are you?

Jaune was serious about interrogating someone in this room. He opened a folder containing Roman's records of his crimes and said to him,

Jaune: Roman Torchwick. The most wanted man in Remnant. Heh, I guess you're a failed pimp.

Robert: laugh A failed pimp.

Roman was angered by the comment. Jaune closed the folder and handed it to Robert, saying,

Jaune: Excuse me for my behavior. I'm here to cooperate with you.

Roman: Really? And what is it?

Jaune: I want to know who is behind all of this. Can you tell me?

Roman started to sweat as he attempted to lie.

Roman: I-I don't know what you're talking—

Jaune: I know the White Fang doesn't usually work with humans. I feel like there's someone collaborating with them to carry out their work. You are part of it.

Roman: Uh... They hired me with a go—

Robert stepped forward and hit the table with his fist, making Roman flinch.

Robert: Enough of that crap! We know you're lying, and you don't want to see what happens next.

Jaune told him to stop, and Robert obeyed. Jaune continued,

Jaune: I know you're lying to me, Roman. But you have a chance to redeem yourself, and I'm going to make you an offer.

Roman: Oh yeah? What is it?

Jaune: I'll recruit you as part of GDI Spy. I'm going to hire you.

Roman: R-Really? Then how much are you paying me?

Jaune: Let's say, 650,100 pounds of lien.

Roman was surprised at the amount of money offered. He smiled and his eyes sparkled as he got out of his chair and bowed down before Jaune.

Roman: I will follow you to the end as long as I get paid.

Robert: Okay... This is weird.

He commented on the situation as he saw Roman bow down to Jaune.

Jaune: Roman... Just don't do that. We haven't finished yet.

Roman went back to sit, accepting cooperation with him.

Roman: Tell me, what is it you want?

Jaune: First, tell me who is behind this.

Roman: Alright then, you got a lucky one. Let's start with a gray guy named Mercury. He has two cybernetic legs that can shoot like a shotgun. He's an assassin, so try to avoid his attacks. Next, a green girl named Emerald. She's a thief like me but more than just a thief. Her semblance is an illusion which she can use to fool people. Lastly, Cinder Fall. She is a mysterious woman that no one knows about. She has firepower, which I don't know if it's her semblance or not. She can summon two swords and has a bow and arrow that will kill anyone who stands in her way. She was also the one who planned it.

Jaune: I see... Who is in charge of the White Fang?

Roman: I think the name is Adam Taurus.

Jaune: Adam... I've heard about him before. He's a swordsman and a brutal leader who won't hesitate to kill anyone that stands in his way. Is there anyone else?

Roman: No. That's all I know.

Jaune: Good. I guess we're finished here. But before that, do you know who I am?

Roman: Yes. You're Jaune Arc, who went missing from Beacon Academy. I've seen missing posters all over Vale looking for you. I heard rumors that you ran away for no reason.

Jaune: I had a reason to run away from the academy. Do you want to know?

Roman: Tell me.

He told him about his backstory—being exposed with a fake transcript by Cardin, being neglected by Beacon Academy students, disowned by his own father, running away from the academy, saving villagers from a Grimm invasion, being injured in the forest, and, ready to accept his fate, a portal appeared out of nowhere and teleported him to Earth where a war between GDI and the Brotherhood of Nod was ongoing. After telling everything, Roman felt sorry for him and said,

Roman: I feel sorry about you, kid.

Jaune: Heh, it's just the past anyway. Now, I'll take you back to Vale, and you'll tell me about their plan.

Roman: You're letting me go?

Robert: Of course. If you work with us, then you'll be under the protection of GDI.

Roman: I am thankful for your kindness, gentlemen. I also told Neo about it. She's with me anyway.

Jaune: Very well. Guards!

The door opened to reveal two individual soldiers—one with brown hair, the other with black hair. They entered the room as Jaune said,

Jaune: Escort him outside and drop him off in Vale.

They took Roman outside of the building and dropped him off in Vale.

Once it was done, Jaune returned to his office after successfully convincing him to join GDI as a spy to gather enemy information. He sat down in his chair, leaning back. He then checked the holographic computer to read the news. Scrolling through, he stopped to see an announcement about Atlas's new robots. General Ironwood made the announcement on the hologram at Vale, and Jaune wasn't pleased to see Ironwood impressing people with the might of Atlas. He listened to Ironwood's speech to the audience.

Ironwood: The AK130 has been a standard security model of Remnant for several years. And they have done a fine job, wouldn't you agree? Wouldn't you agree?

The AK-130s responded by bow down as the audience clapped for him. While he's watching the news, Sara appears on the desk to watch the news which she isn't happy to see. Then, Robert, Peter and his girlfriend named Nova and Joseph came into the room to say something to him but they saw something on the news so they joined him to watch it. Ironwood continually said to the audience.

Ironwood: But, the kingdom of Atlas is a kingdom of innovation...

Sara: I'll give you an innovation by punching to your face if I was a human.

She said as she remained calm and continued watching the news.

Ironwood: And fine, well that's just not good enough is it?

Behind the boxes, the hatch door opens to see a new atlas android with different designs and they have weapons at the back.

Ironwood: Presenting the Atlesian Knight.

He said as the Atlesian Knights stepped one foot forward and the AK130s just shut down. Peter gives a thumbs down for unimproved.

Ironwood: Smarter, sleeker and admittedly, a little less scary.

He said. The AK200s show their strength to improve to the people of Vale except for Jaune & his friends who haven't improved very well.

Ironwood: These models will become active later this year but they won't be alone. Now, the Atlesian Military has always supported the idea of remaining men from the dangers of the battlefield.

Joseph: Oh... So they just gonna leave those robots to do their work while their soldiers will become lazy cunts for not doing proper work as a real soldier.

Nova: I agree with you.

Ironwood: However, there are still many situations that undoubtedly require a human touch. So our kingdom's greatest minds, in cooperation with the Schnee Dust Company, are proud to introduce The Atlesian Paladin.

The hologram shows Atlesian Paladin as the audience clapped so hard for Atlas. Jaune wasn't happy to see it. Sara scoffed that Atlas Paladin can be taken down by rockets, vehicles, walkers or aircraft so easily. He continually said to them.

Ironwood: Now we couldn't have them for you today. But these mechanized battle suits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdom within the year!

Jaune: Okay, I've had enough of this.

He turned off the holographic computer and put his hand on his chin, wearing a disappointed look on his face. He said,

Jaune: I don't like this.

Peter: Agreed. That so-called powerful military just builds robots so Atlesian soldiers can become less disciplined.

Nova: Let's not forget that Atlas and other kingdoms keep discriminating against the Faunus, treating them as inferior beings.

Joseph: Sounds like racism to me. I would love to put a bullet in their heads once I meet them.

Robert: Atlesian Paladin? Ha! Please, we have the same name as GDI Paladin too, except it's an aircraft and not a ground force.

Jaune: Guys, calm down now. We'll just keep increasing the army if we are ready to retaliate. We will face Atlas if they attempt to attack us.

Nova: Or a splinter group known as the White Fang.

Jaune: We should establish bases in every continent of each kingdom. We'll liberate villages from Grimms or the White Fang so they can see the true strength of our soldiers. And recruit more soldiers to protect their loved ones. Sara, what do you know about Atlas?

Sara: Hmm... According to Atlas records, they did a good job building those robots and a mechanized suit. But our infantry, mechanized units, vehicles, and aircraft can take them down too easily. Also, there is something there that they wanted to keep secret. Interested in taking a look?

Jaune: Show me.

She shows a hologram of the blueprints, which appears to be a little girl, but with different robot parts integrated into it.

Jaune: Fascinating...

Sara: This project was called PENNY. They believe that they can create a robot with an aura that can feel like a human. She's important to them, so they have to protect her at all costs.

Joseph: Seems harmless.

Sara: Don't let it fool you, Captain. She can summon a lot of swords for combat. And it says here that she will be introduced in the event called the Vytal Festival.

Nova: I've heard about that one. It's an event where students from different kingdoms and academies compete to become a champion. It also has echoes of the Great War.

Robert: Sounds like fun. I wish I could go there to show how strong I am.

Peter: You want to impress the ladies, don't you?

Robert: Shut up, Peter.

Sara: chuckle Anyway, I don't know if she's a threat, but we must stay vigilant about her.

Jaune: Indeed. We'll be careful of her if she's given orders by a racist government to attack my men. We'll be ready, for now. Everyone is dismissed.

They left the room to attend to their own business. Sara left the room to do her work. Jaune sat there, drinking a glass of wine to relax.

Torchwick POV

After they dropped me off in Vale, I went to my place to explain to Neo about meeting an unknown group and being hired as a spy. I also told her that it's a secret and must never be shared with anyone, especially Cinder. She agreed. We went out to buy ice cream from the ice cream truck on the street. We walked to the park and sat down on a bench to have a relaxing day while Neo licked her ice cream. Then, I got a call from the name "Fox," which I recognized. We both looked at each other's faces until I picked up the call and said,

Roman: Hey... How are you?

Cinder ( on scroll): Torchwick, where have you been? Why haven't you returned to the warehouse?

I feel sweating on my forehead as it flows down. I had an idea so I lied to her.

Roman: Well, you see, those unknown groups from the news, they attack us and kill some of the white fangs so I decided to flee.

Cinder (on scroll): Flee? Then why haven't you come back?

Roman: That is because they keep chasing me until I manage to hide before they catch me. And I-

I was cut off by Cinder, which it's a rude thing to explain stuff.

Cinder (on scroll): Nevermind about that. I have a new job for you.

I was relieved she never knew about it. But what job is she giving me?

Roman: Uh, if it's about stealing more dust crates, then that will be impossible. Since those groups killed the White Fang thugs, the kingdoms have tightened security. The police are everywhere, and the dust crates are fully secured, making it impossible for anyone to steal them.

Cinder (on scroll): No. I want you to steal weapons for the white fang.

Roman: Really? They have enough weapons, you know. I mean, did they went to-

Cinder (on scroll): No. I want you to steal weapons... From the unknown group.

It shocked me that she wanted me to steal Jaune's weapons at his territory. But I was being hired by a new boss who willingly paid me a lot of money so I said to her on the scroll for a reason.

Roman: But I don't know where they are. Plus they are heavily guarded which is impossible for both of us to-

Cinder (on scroll): Don't think. Just obey.

I sighed and I said.

Roman: Fine. I'll do it.

Cinder (on scroll): Good. In the meantime, I asked the lieutenant to see a prototype atlas paladin to be useful.

Roman: And what about your plan?

Cinder ( on scroll): And why would I tell you?

Roman: Well, I just want to know, that's all.

Cinder ( on scroll): Very well... I plan to sneak into the tower tonight on the prom. I'll hack it at the tower to gather enough data for the time being.

Roman: Okay then. Uh, abo-

Then, she hangs up the scroll. It's kind of rude to continue speaking, and she just hangs up on me. Man, what a situation. I look at Neo with her worried face, wondering if we're going to steal Jaune's weapon, but I made the right decision. I grabbed my new one called Smartscroll, which they gave me, and it looks like an original scroll but better. It has better security to block anything from being heard or hacking the scroll. Anyway, I made a call and said to my new boss.

Roman: Hey, I got the information for you.
