The clock is ringing as Jaune tries to find it until he presses it. He yawned and tries to get up from his bed only to see Pyrrha is sleeping beside him. He scratches his head until remember that Pyrrha tells him to sleep with him for a night. He put her hand down gently until Pyrrha started to wake up as her eyes are open and she said.

Pyrrha: Good morning, Jaune.

He smiled at her as he responded.

Jaune: Good morning to you too, Pyrrha.

He said. They both getting up from the bed, they notice his comrades weren't there so they just went somewhere for themselves. He looks at his Smartscroll at the desk and turn on to see a single text on the screen as it said:

Robert- "Hey, since you and your girl still sleeping, we're at the canteen having breakfast."

After that, they both get their dresses on and headed to the canteen.

They getting food and went to look at them and found them at the table along with Team (J)NPR as they're waiting for them. They sitting down as they started to eat. Then, Nora said to them.

Nora: So... How's your dance going on from last night?

Jaune and Pyrrha are both blushing of their faces as she knows about last night they had a dance.

Pyrrha: How?

Nora: These guys told us when we meet them.

Pyrrha: Your friends were there too!

Jaune: Um...

Robert: Come on, bro. You haven't got a date since Tiberium war. You need a girl.

Peter: I agree with him. Even we follow orders from you we are your friends.

Jaune: Guys... Shut up.

They both laughed as Jaune was embarrassment about it. Nova leans over to Mia on zone suit as she said to her.

Nova: Boys...

Mia: Yep.

As they're eating their foods, they have unexpected people that Jaune and his friends hate the most. Team CRDL approach to them as Cardin said to Jaune.

Cardin: So... A blonde boy who fakes all the way here in the beacon academy is come back only to be a leader of GDI.

Jaune: Cardin... Maybe you should leave before things are getting out of the hand.

Cardin: Oh, what's wrong? Are you scared?

His teammates laughed to support their leader. Nora wanted to break their legs but Ren stops her before it happens.

Cardin: You should know that no matter how the change you are, you always being a pathetic, little, lo-

He was interrupted by Robert as he stands up and pointed his revolver at his head and he replied.

Robert: Say again. I would like to hear about it.

Cardin: Ohh... And who are you? A soldier! Pfft... Please, I can take you down.

Robert looks at Jaune as he nods at him and went back at Cardin as he responds.

Robert: Alright, you ask for it.

As he said, he grabbed his arm and slam on the floor then he subdues him on the floor. His teammates flinched as they draw their weapons at them, Nora and the others, except Jaune and Pyrrha, draws their weapons at them as well. Cardin tried to struggle but he can't able to be released from Robert. Then, Glynda came as she said to them.

Glynda: Robert Rockholm! Release him at once!

He takes a moment before he releases him as Cardin cough it up to breath. She approaches them and she said.

Glynda: Mr. Winchester, you and your team must leave before I send you all to the office.

Cardin: *cough* Y-Yes, Mrs. Goodwitch.

He said as he and his teammates went out of the canteen. She looks at Robert with her serious glared as she said to him.

Glynda: Mr. Rockholm-

Robert: It's Liuetenant Rockholm.

Glynda: Fine. Lt. Rockholm, what did I told you not to harm one of my students. That is inappropriate.

Robert: Well, they need to be taught a lesson for exposing his fake transcript to the people in the first place.

Jaune finishes eating his food as he said.

Jaune: As much as I want him to lock in prison, I don't want to beat him up without a reason. Anyway, have a nice day.

He said as he stands up and went out before everyone follows him to the exit.

As they walking straight to the station where an airship is waiting to transport to the floating colosseum, they see peacekeepers are patrolling the area and give a salute to Jaune when they saw him coming. They even build a bunker around the area to defend against Grimms, White fangs or worse, Nod separatist. The bulldogs, pitbulls, and APCs are patrolling on the streets to make sure no terrorists involved. There are peacekeepers, riflemen squads and missile squads who are doing their duty by keeping an eye any suspicious that might commit crime especially the discriminate towards faunus and they have a right to arrest anyone who discriminates faunus so badly and they have to look out any Grimms nearby. As for missile squads and pitbulls, their role is to take down flying Grimm in the air. They reach to the station and went in an airship and they went to the floating colosseum where everyone is ready to watch the tournament.

Two atlesian dropships flew through the sky as they passed through atlesian airships and other dropships guarding it to be an act of security to prevent any flying Grimm such as nevermore and griffon to interfere the event of Vytal Festival.

They approach one of the atlesian airships as they getting closer to the ship until they received contact from atlesian airship as a captain said on the radio.

Atlesian fleet captain (on radio): This is the captain of Blue two atlesian airship, identify yourselves.

A pilot from inside a dropship as he replies to the radio.

Pilot: This is Beta-02, we need to refuel the engine. We got here from Atlas, we just need to refuel right now.

They waiting for a response until he replied.

Atlesian fleet captain (on radio): Seems it's clear. You're allowed to boarding our ship and refuel your ship then I want to talk to you about your arrival from Atlas.

Pilot: Roger that. Over and out.

Both ships have arrived in the hangar bay as they landed it. An atlesian officer along with two atlesian soldiers went towards the dropship and standing there waiting for them to come out. An officer said.

Atlesian officer: Open the hatch door.

He said. A dropship hatch door opens, unexpected happens, a woman wearing an eye patch and wearing a command uniform fired at the officer than two of his guards. She stepped out of the ship as she said before she smiled.

Natasha: Alright boys, remember the mission.

As she said, Vastator along with militia squads wearing a combat suit and confessor cabals went out of two dropships and ready for the operation.

Vastator: Remember, no prisoners.

He said to his squads. They spread out to kill every atlesian personnel aboard the ship to take control.

The audience started to excite to see who is the next challenger of the tournament. Yang, Weiss, and Blake were there to cheer their team leader. Team CFVY is waiting to watch them fighting in the tournament. Team SSSN cheers a lot as well as the crowd. Team (J)PNR is more excited as Nora yelled "Yeah," for watching the battle. Ironwood is watching at Penny to see if she can able to fight against her opponent. Jaune and his comrades are sitting there waiting for the next tournament, they also keep an eye on Cinder and her goons at the other side of the seats as they were observing the battle skills. They remain vigilant if they're plotting to cause fear to the colosseum and they will take an action if that happens. The screen shows who are the challengers to battle against each other, and it was Ruby vs Penny. Ruby enters the tournament as Penny came as well, they are surprised they have to fight for the tournament. Ruby just said to her.

Ruby: Penny! How are you!

Penny: I'm fine, Ruby. It's so exciting to challenge you.

Ruby: I hope we can get along once this battle is over.

Penny: Not if one of us will knock out the tournament first.

She said as she chuckles of her humor.

Ruby: We'll see about that...

She said with her determination. As they're ready their positions, Oobleck on the screen said to the challengers.

Oobleck (on-screen): Begin!

The battle started as Ruby and Penny leap forward to each other to engage the fight. Ruby performs a sniper firing at Penny, but she able to block it by her swords. She jumped away from her as Penny sent her swords to attack her, Ruby dodges it until one of her sword able to aim at her leg and she collapsed on the floor. Ruby stands up and used her semblance to rush towards her and went attack with her scythe.

Ruby's friends are excited to battle against Penny to see which one is a better fighter and Yang just cheered for her sister.

Yang: Go, sis! Win the tournament!

Ruby stepped back and transform her scythe into a sniper rifle and aim at her in the distance and she uses fire dust bullet to defeat her. She shoots at her few times but Penny controls her swords to deflect the dust bullets.

Ruby needs to think of how to beat her, so she got an idea as she goes around her to shoot her at the back. Penny notices her movements so she sent her swords to attack her. She caught up a surprise as the swords flying towards her, slashing at her, but she dodges the swords and then rushed towards Penny as she kicks at the body, sending her flying then crash to the ground.

Atlas audience cheer more to give support Penny to take down Ruby rose. Ironwood looks serious about how will she able to defeat her.

Penny stands up and summons her swords as she ready for further attack. Ruby ready her scythe and leap forward towards her to attack. She ran towards to attack Penny when she notices something from the sky as she can hear something like the engine is diving down through the sky. She looks up to the sky when suddenly, an unknown aircraft just appeared and started to dive down and it goes straight towards them.

The audiences just looking up and saw an aircraft is diving down so fast, one of the atlesian female students started to scream. Everyone started to see what's going on until they saw an aircraft is attempt to dive down to the middle of the tournament.

Ruby and Penny stopped fighting as an aircraft approach closer towards them and it's about to crash. Ruby shouted at her.

Ruby: Penny! Look out!

She was a response by ran away as well as Ruby, they able to make out as an aircraft is crashed down in the middle of the tournament. Port and Oobleck on the screen are shocked by what they saw.

Oobleck (on-screen): Oh Oum! What is that?!

Port (on-screen): How and why did it just dive into the middle of the tournament?!

Jaune and the others quickly stand up as they see the aircraft is burst in flame and the smoke started to spread. Ironwood ordered five AK-200s to go to investigate the wreckage just before it explodes. After the explosion, Yang, Weiss, and Blake look anywhere to find Ruby in the smoke if she's still alive. Yang is started to worry a bit when the smoke clear out and she saw her sister is still alive. They're a sigh of relieved. Jaune and his others just look at what happens to interrupt the tournament. Cinder and her goons were surprised that aircraft just appear out of nowhere and crushed to the tournament trying to kill both Ruby and Penny for no reason although that wasn't their plan at all.

Five AK-200s jumped out of the audience stage and went to investigate the wreckage. Penny and Ruby able to stand up and saw a crashed aircraft, burst in flame, in the middle of their battle. They both look at each other then they went to investigate the wreckage. As they approach it, a dark figure just appeared in the air as he strikes down atlesian knight-200 using his katana after he lands on it. A figure is wearing a dark cloak and they didn't see a face to identify. The remaining AK-200s pointed their guns at him just before he draws his katana and quickly slicing them in fast reflex.

The audiences shocked at their core to see him destroying atlesian knights quickly using his weapon. Ironwood stands up and he's going to jump out of the stage when a red force field just activated and he can't enter to another side.

Ironwood What the- Red force shield? How?

Yang, Weiss, and Blake try to break through the red force shield but it seems like the shield is stronger than an invisible force field. Their friends also tried to break it with their fists and kicks but it's not effective. Robert and his others draw their new weapons and tried to shoot it but it cannot penetrate effectively. Jaune looks at the red force field as if he seems familiar. It takes a small second until he realizes what's going on.

Jaune: Oh no...

As the red force field was activated for unknown reasons, Ruby and Penny are trapped in the tournament with an unknown figure wielding a red katana blade. They both ready their weapons as they're ready to fight him. Ruby speaks to an unknown figure.

Ruby: Excuse me, is this your ship?

He didn't response to her as he refuses to cooperate. She then try again.

Ruby: Excuse me, sir. Did you just get out of your ship before it crash-landed here? Why are you attacking the robots? Who are you?

She tried to respond to him but there's no word from him. Then, all of sudden, he finally spoke to her.

???: You should've died at underground mountain Glenn when I had a chance...

Ruby's eyes wide open as she is shocked to know the voice somewhere before. Penny went beside her and she said.

Penny: Ruby? Who is this man?

Ruby: Penny... Get back!

Penny: Huh?

Before she said anything, he leaps forward really fast as he swings his katana at her but she able to block it in time. Penny started to stay back of what's going on here between a dark cloaking man and her friend. He swings his katana a few times at her, she swings her scythe at him but he leaps backward and then he did it again as he went to attack her. Ruby performs a plant on her sniper-mode and fire at him, he dodges the bullets as he keeps running towards her. Then suddenly, a flying gun-mode swords came and shoot him, he dodges it and he sees what appears to be a ginger girl controlling the swords with her strings. He knows who and what she is. He deflects every shot with his katana blades. She stopped firing at him then Ruby pull her weapon out from the ground and started to yell at him.

Ruby: Just who are you?! Are you part of Nod?

Then, a figure raises his one hand and grabbed his dark cloak as he removes it to reveal himself to the audience.

Now, everyone is getting shocking to see a man wearing a dark gas mask on his mouth and it wears a dark trench coat, it also has two symbols at each shoulder. Yang and the others are became shocked to see the symbols at every shoulder. Robert and his others groaned as they know where he came from. Jaune just recognize him before, he knew what he's capable of and he afraid that Ruby and Penny won't have a chance to beat him.

Once he revealing himself, the shadow team just came through the room and seize control of it. Oobleck and Port turned around as they saw the shadow team pointing their guns at them and they just raising their hands to surrender.

Ruby has recognized him from mountain Glenn underground city. Then, she started to say to him.

Ruby: You...

Shizaku: Yes. We meet again, Ruby Rose.

Penny: Ruby, do you know him?

Ruby: No. I don't know his name and how did he know my name?

Suddenly, the screen turned fuzzy they change to the symbol which Jaune and the others recognize their enemy symbol.

Once it appears on the screen, they heard the voice coming from the screen which, unfortunately, cannot reveal his face to the people. He said to the people.

Gideon voice (on-screen): Greetings, human and faunus. I see you battle against each other for so long. And I'm here to bring it the end of your cruelty... By destroying your kingdoms and homes!

The audience started to scream as they started panicking. Ironwood tries to tell them to remain calm otherwise it will attract the Grimms. Jaune clenched his fists as he knows that voice, it was no other than Gideon, leader of Nod separatist.

Jaune (murmured): Gideon...

Gideon behind the screen continues speaking to the people.

Gideon voice (on-screen): You have caused too much blood throughout the history of your planet. Now it's our turn to paint your blood on our hands. Before we begin, I want to introduce to my successor, Executor Izunima Shizaku!

Nova: Izunima Shizaku?

Mia: I've heard of him before. He's a cunning warrior that I've ever seen.

Peter: I've heard that he killed so many of GDI infantry only using his katana and a pistol. He just got shot but he still keeps going fighting our forces.

Robert: They promote him for his action and he becomes known as the executor. He's a high ranking officer that we won't want to mess with.

Nova: What?!

Ruby and Penny still ready their weapons to engage a man known as Izunima Shizaku. Gideon, behind the scene, continue saying to his audience.

Gideon voice (on-screen): Now, since I take control of this colosseum, it's time for entertainment for ourselves. But first, all of you must sit down and watch the tournament. If you refuse, my men will come and kill every last one of you. Especially the GDI scum within it.

Just then, a few of militant squads and confessors just came through every entrance and guarding it by making sure that no one leaves the colosseum alive. Jaune and the others saw them coming and they're very armed, Yang and her friends left their weapons at their lockers so they're defenseless against them. Jaune and his comrades, however, have weapons but they hide it away from Nod forces. The audiences feel scared of them so they have no choice but to sit down and do what Gideon said. Yang and her friends also sit down to prevent anyone from being harm by merciless militants and confessors. Ironwood is angry to see a new terrorist to come and occupy a colosseum as their own, but it confuses him of how they able to get here without his air fleets notice it. Jaune grabbed his Smartscroll and hid under it to press a button of distress beacon to contact Sara to know he was in danger. Once he's done, he has hope that Sara will receive his distress beacon and he's worry that Ruby and Penny might be either captured or killed by Nod separatist. As they taking their seats with their fear expression, Gideon said on the screen.

Gideon voice (on-screen): As you know, we have to build a prototype that will take down anyone that has an ability called semblance. And I assure you, this prototype you won't wanna mess with.

On top of the colosseum, a Nod replica atlesian dropship just appeared in the sky without atlesian airship notice it and lower down to the stadium.

Jaune: What the?!

Yang: H-How?

Nora: Oh my oum!

Velvet: Yatsu, I'm scared.

She hugging at Yatsuhashi as she scared of Nod separatist.

Yatsuhashi: Don't worry, I'll make sure no one will get to you.

Mia: Since when they able to hijack an atlesian aircraft?

Robert: I don't know. But I'm sure its something to do with carrying a box over there.

As Nod replica atlesian dropship hovered down near of a tournament, it drops a box and left the colosseum. Shinaku putting his katana back to a cover and get out of the stadium and watch how they able to defeat his prototype. Ruby and Penny feel a bit nervous when a box opens to see a robot standing there like a statue. It's the same design as centurion but it has a height of large human size and it only has two hands. A robotic cyclops glows red as it is active and ready for combat. It sees two of them and considers as targets. It draws out its big sword and ready for a fight.

Gideon voice (on-screen): This is our latest design we ever build. We called it, Fallen Paladin. It capable to fight in combat only used a sword to strike down the enemy. Now, this is a battle for two girls and a robot to settle in the tournament. My tournament. You will die here as it doesn't show mercy on our enemy. Now, this is the last time we ever meet. Good day.

He said before the voice left on the background screen.

A fallen paladin stomp its one foot as it ready to kill both of them. Ruby and Penny look at each other faces before they show bravery to ready to fight against fallen paladin. In few seconds, a fallen paladin leap forward and going to strike them but they went to separate ways and going to attack at behind. Ruby fired her sniper rifle at a robot but it was caught off when it activates a reflector shield to block the bullet.

Oobleck grabbed a microphone and he said to the audience while he was being hostage by shadow team.

Oobleck (on-screen): Look at that! That robot just activates a shield to block out dust! How remarkable!

Port (on-screen): Y-Yes, how remarkable indeed.

Penny sent out her swords to goes towards a robot and destroy it but it was being blocked by using both reflector shields together. It went towards her and swing his sword at Penny. But luckily, she able to deflect its attack using her swords. Meanwhile, Ruby was going to aim at fallen paladin busying fighting on Penny until she notices someone is coming for her. She turns around and sees Shizaku just leap forward at her as he going to attack her. She jumped away from him and ready her scythe to face him in combat. He missed it and went look at her to see her determined to fight.

Shizaku: Impressive. But not until I'm dealing with you first.

He inhales his gas mask before he ran faster at her as they fight between sword and scythe.

Penny keeps defending herself from Fallen paladin as it keeps attacking her with a move so fast. She then changes her sword to gun mode and shoots at it. It got shot before it using a reflector shield. It ran towards and give a punch at her. She sent flying and crush into a ground, she stands up as she used her all swords to shoot like a laser at Fallen paladin. It activates both reflector shields on both arms as it blocked the laser that tries to hit it. After using a laser, she sent her swords from left and right, the swords go straight to the robot. But unfortunately, it jumps back to avoid being strike by Penny's swords.

Ruby keeps dodging the attack from Shizaku, he ducks down then he kicks at her legs to make her fall. He raises his katana to stab her but she rolls away as he misses his target. She leaps backward then she shoots at him again. He performs a saw-like a sword to cut down Ruby's dust bullets. He leaps forward at her as he strikes every attack at her. Ruby tried to defend herself but he takes advantage of her by hitting her head using a pommel. She fell back on the ground then Shizaku ready his katana to defeat her as he walks towards her. She woke up as she used her semblance to escape from him then attack him with her scythe.

As Fallen paladin used reflector shield to block Penny's swords, it looks at Ruby using her semblance so it scans a copy of semblance until the download is complete. Fallen paladin look back at Penny as she used all of her swords in a circle to shoot a laser at the robot. Surprisedly, Fallen paladin just used a semblance of Ruby to escape the laser that tries to kill it.

The audience, especially Jaune and the rest of the others, are gasped as they have witnessed a robot just using the same semblance as Ruby to escape from Penny firing a laser.

On the screen, both Oobleck and Port are shocked to saw a robot using Ruby semblance. They both said on a microphone.

Port (on-screen): W-What the?! How?

Oobleck: (on-screen): I-I don't know. It just has a semblance and did the same thing as Ms. Rose. I don't know how to explain it.

One of a shadow team approaches Oobleck as he hands him over a paper with details of the Fallen Paladin. He pointing his pistol as he said to him.

Shadow trooper: Read it.

Without a word, he went to a microphone and said while reading details.

Oobleck (on-screen):

*clears throat* A-According to this detail, a Fallen paladin is not the only program to fight in close combat. But it also programmed to copy anyone's semblance if it saw them using it. It allows us to use against the enemy such as huntsmen.

Hearing their words, Jaune and the others just have lost words to how they able to build something that could programming to copy anyone's semblance without unlocking it.

Penny doesn't have to think on her mind as the battle goes on. Fallen paladin used Ruby's semblance to goes straight to her as if ready to strike her down. She take a dodge as she sent her swords to attack at it.

Fallen paladin doing it again as it goes towards her at full speed. She jumps to the behind and that's when she got an opportunity to advantage she sent her swords to hit at the back once she landed the ground on foot, she began to raise her hands as a wire connects on her fingers to lift a Fallen paladin to the air then slam into the ground. She goes towards it as she jumps high then she sent her whole swords to stabbed right through a chest, ending a final blow. She is finally able to defeat a stronger foe than she ever faces. She went look at Ruby busying fighting Shizaku so she proceeds to help her friend.

Ruby tried to dodge from the Shizaku attack as he swings his katana a few times at her. Then suddenly, her friend came to intervene as she sends her swords at him to attack. He jumps back to avoid the swords that go towards him. Once he's in the far distance from them, he takes a look to see Fallen paladin has defeated as it laying on the ground dead, he takes his left foot stepped in and ready for charging as his eyes glow red and he draws out his katana with the red glowing blade.

Blake was shocked as her eyes wide open to see him using the same semblance as Adam when he used his semblance to defeat a spider droid on the train. She yelled at them through a force field.

Blake: Watch out!

Shizaku unleashed moonslice of hate as he sent a large sword waves to strike both of them. They able to dodge it as they react it and he misses it. They both looking at him seeing using his new semblance like they never encountered before. He leaps forward as he swings his katana at them, Penny used a few of her swords to block his attack. He keeps attacking as he swings his katana multiple times to break off her defense. He steps back as he charges his semblance then releases his moonslide of hate towards them. Her defense was broke off but she remains to stand as she summons her remaining swords to ready for another combat. Ruby use her semblance to take a left flank to attack him at behind, he grabbed a tactical grenade launcher pistol to fire at her, she was caught on explosion as she went flying until she crushes into the ground. Thanks to her aura she's safe. Penny has time to strike him while he's busying looking at Ruby lying on the ground. She sent three swords to attack, but just before Shizaku react as he draws his weapon out and blocks her attack. As he keeps blocking her swords, Shizaku knew that he can't able to capture them both at once. He planned to use Fallen paladin to take down Penny while he takes down Ruby so it makes a quick mission. Unfortunately, things do not go well on the mission so he decided to call his aircraft to pick him up. As he finishes calling on his earpiece, he uses his semblance such as hatred speed to dodge away from three swords towards him. Penny gives a glare at him for hurting her friend and so, she will not let him kill her first friend.

While everyone is watching the battle, they heard one of Nod militant from the entrance as he shouted while firing at something of behind.

Nod militant: It's GDI! Kill them!

As he shouted, he gets attention to his squads and they firing at GDI soldiers. The GDI forces from every entrance firing at the enemies to clear away to inside a colosseum. From every entrance, the GDI forces can kill most of them and some were taken custody. Everyone are relieve GDI are come to rescue. Yang and her friends are relieved as well as Jaune told them he contact a distress call to Sara to know he was in danger. He looks at Robert and he said to him.

Jaune: Lt. Robert, get to the station now.

Robert: Yes sir!

He said as he went straight to the station to take back control from the shadow team.

Shizaku don't have time to face a whole squad of GDI scum. He went focus on Penny as she ready to fight only he heard Nod atlesian dropship came to inside a colosseum, a pilot opens a hatch door. Shizaku would like to say to her before he leaves.

Shizaku: I may fail my mission. But someday, we will finish with you and your friend. Farewell...

He put his katana to his cover and ran towards to a dropship then jump into it. A pilot closes a hatch door and went out of the colosseum to leave a scene.

Shizaku takes a seat and contacts his leader on his earpiece as he gives him the bad news.

Shizaku: Prophet Gideon, I failed you. I'll take my shame.

Gideon (radio chatter): There's no need to be shame. We will get them next time. Now, it's time for us to show them how superior we are.

Shizaku: Understood.

He said. An atlesian dropship can avoid contact on atlesian airship or other dropships and escape the kingdom of Vale.

Meanwhile, Penny goes to Ruby lying on the unconscious. She checks on her as she held on her and then said to her.

Penny: Ruby. Ruby, are you alright?

Ruby started to open her eyes a bit. She started to see a blur until it became normal to see Penny holding her. She said.

Ruby: Hey Penny, did we win?

Penny: Y-Yeah. We did.

Ruby: Oh good...

Penny helped her to stand up and went to see the audience are feeling okay thanks to GDI soldiers came to rescue. The force field started to turn off which allows them to go another side of the audience stand.

Robert keeps going until he sees two shadow men pointed their dueling pistols at him. He pulled out his dueling revolvers and shoot at their necks before they pulled a trigger. He enters a station to see two shadow troopers left on the stand. They draw out their battle swords and ready to kill him.

Robert: Oh yeah! This should be easy.
