Chapter 64: Right from Wrong

The second Seokjin stepped out of the grim office, his eyes locked forward onto Min Yoongi standing before him with a clipboard. The blue eyes of the Android's locked onto his yet, the creation didn't say a word until he was acknowledged.

"Hello there my little android, what can I do for you?" Seokjin asked as the android suddenly replied as if he was powered off for a while as he waited to be acknowledged.

"Hello, Sir! I have good news to share. Your meetings have been postponed due to the weather. This wipes your schedule clean after seven today!"

"Oh, that's good to hear! I have plans today that I want to get to," Seokjin replied and watched the smile over the creation's face. "I have a question for you..."

"Ask away!"

"Do you remember anything from your past run? Any lingering feelings about anyone you may have met in the past?" The creator asked as Yoongi only tilted his head.

"No, no more memories of the past run nor any lingering feelings. I have completely restarted with nothing in mind of the past," Yoongi confirmed as Seokjin only smiled and nodded his head. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh, just to know..." he replied before taking a second to think of something. "Yoongi, if you have no plans later on, I would like it if you join me later on today."

"What are we doing?" Questioned the android. Hugging the clipboard and tilting his head curiously until Seokjin answered.

"Well, I am going to see Hoseok and through there I will be deactivating Jeon Jungkook. I want you to be there in case anything happens to me. Jungkook is a very unpredictable android and with the build of newer versions, you are capable of protecting me in an instance where my life is put in danger," Seokjin mentioned with a smile over his face. Carefully, his hand rose and planted over the Android's shoulder carefully. "I want you to be there... Can you do that for me?"

"Yes! I will do that for you, Sir!" Yoongi went on with a smile on his face. Frantically agreeing as he admired his creator.

Of course, Seokjin knew this android would never deny him. All newer versions of androids were programmed to love and respect their creator no matter what and Yoongi was doing just that. Taehyung and him were programmed to fully worship the ground Seokjin walked on and not question his intentions, yet, Jungkook, as an older version, did not have this feature so, it allowed him to despise his creators and be able to harm Hoseok like he didn't have a care in the world for the consequences of his actions if he was to carry on with strangling Hoseok that very day.

After a while, Jimin was asleep in the android's arms within the back of the car. The warmth of the android kept Jimin closer to his partner's built-in heater, the endless caresses of his partner's tattooed fingers combing through his silk hair and the comfortable blankets that surrounded them. At that moment, Jimin was no longer wearing the many layers of clothing to keep him warm. Jungkook was enough to keep him at the right temperature despite how cold it became outside.

Soft and low melodies from the car's radio went on to serve as lullabies to the sleeping human being held within the arms of his partner. There was nothing out there that could top this very moment and Jungkook admired that. He looked down to see Jimin glued to his chest, adoring every second of warmth he was given and the gentle touch of his lover's hand. He wanted to spend more time with Jungkook at the beach because deep down, he was still a little insecure and unsure of what could happen next.

While Jungkook laid there, he began to reminisce. His mind travelled back to those days he was at the department. The days where he was constantly told he wasn't good enough and how he had yet to reach perfection with every good deed he did. He remembered crying to Hoseok and Seokjin about how good he could be, how much he was willing to do in order to avoid being scrapped and the many tantrums he shed. And of course, how could he forget the moment he began to obsess over Namjoon? Jungkook couldn't forget that at all. Love was something that changed him. He knew he changed when he felt horrible about treating Jimin the same way he treated Namjoon in the very beginning. The only difference was that he didn't get to harm Jimin, that was something he would always be grateful for.

As Jungkook continued to think back at his past, Jimin suddenly flinched in his sleep. This only caused the android to chuckle to himself until Jimin opened his eyes with a yawn following after.

"I've heard... humans tend to jolt in their sleep... but I've never seen it before until now," Jungkook mentioned as he tilted his head to meet Jimin's gaze.

"Not even when you used to watch me sleep?" Jimin asked as he watched Jungkook hide his smile by turning his face away. "I'll leave it alone..."

"I'll have you know this is the first time I've seen you do this," Jungkook mentioned and kissed Jimin on his forehead. "Do you want to start heading back? We've been here for two hours, kicking towards three now."

"Mh... no... I want to stay here with you forever. We can live on the beach and get away from the world!"

"Don't be ridiculous, we can't stay here forever," Jungkook assured as Jimin only smiled and buried his face against the side of Jungkook's neck. "As much as I want to stay here with you, you are human and you need to eat eventually. Why don't we go back and cook something together? Then it will be late and I can go back home to charge and I'll see you in the morning."

"Then I will be out drinking for the night and... Ah, why am I so nervous about leaving you alone? This hasn't happened before... is it because I told you that I love you? I'm so used to getting neglected that I-"

"We've been over this, my love. There's no way I'm leaving you. Do you really think I can if I'm heavily bound to you? It will kill me if we separate. This is something that I just can't turn off," Jungkook assured his partner once again and caressed the side of his face. "Come on, I'll take you home and we can make anything you'd like...."

"Jungkook, I appreciate every second you take to assure me that nothing is going to happen to me... I tend to overthink a lot..." Jimin said into a soft whisper as if he was too shy to say these words again as if he hasn't done so before.

Jungkook looked at the young man and smiled before cupping his soft little face. With the way his fingertips kissed Jimin's charming skin just underneath was so perfect to Jungkook, he adored him without a hint of envy lingering on. That's how he knew he could love Jimin completely now without a cry or a desperate plea to be just like him. He finally saw Jimin as a person he loves, no longer envies.

By the time they returned back to the house, Jimin had already forgotten the doubtful thoughts in his head for once. This was only because he was with Jungkook for the moment, his mind didn't think ahead to the point where he would finally leave home to go out for once. As much as he hated going out and interacting with people, he sensed that this was something he needed to finally become someone better and grow out of this suffocating hole. To be exact, he did miss meeting with Namjoon and talking about anything for a whole day. At times, Jimin was glad that he had another human friend to be around just so he didn't have to keep having Jungkook fill every social interaction he needed.

At times, he would be tempted to talk to his family, but his family only wanted him to be his own person and have his own life. They supported him, but kept him far from them. That was something Jimin knew he didn't have the courage to confront. He only accepted it just like he accepted moving on from Yoongi. But maybe in time, he would find it in himself to see his family again. Just not now. He was only starting to grow on his own.

Jungkook set the car keys down onto the counter as he began to stand with Jimin in the kitchen and take out pots and pans to begin cooking. At the moment, he refrained from going back home just to return the car keys, he just didn't want to break away from the moment he shared with Park Jimin, so he kept the keys over the counter and didn't dare to return them to Hoseok just yet. If the man needed them, he figured he would come over and ask for the keys so Jungkook didn't worry too much about it.

"Hey, Jungkook... Do you ever plan on talking to Namjoon again? You know... when you're completely ready?" Jimin wondered as he began to wash the rice within the pot while Jungkook was setting oil onto the pan.

"Hm... I don't think so..." Jungkook replied as Jimin only tilted his head and looked at him.

"Wouldn't you want to make things right with him? If I'm going to be his friend, wouldn't you want to talk to him? He's going to come over one day and face you... I just don't want him to handle it badly."

"Jimin, I've only glossed over the fact that I harmed him... but I never got down into the details of it. I'm sure that if Namjoon was ever given the choice, he wouldn't want to see me again. I've harmed him... I must have traumatized him..." Jungkook went on and finally looked at Jimin before making the human avert his brown gaze. "You know... I used to love him. But not in a way that I love you."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked before draining out the rice and looking at him right after.

"My definition of love back then wasn't what it is now. It was envy, obsession, jealousy... I harmed anyone who tried to get near him and one day I ended up hurting him. When I began to love you, it all changed... I started to realize those flaws and began to feel guilty when... I didn't feel guilty before. You've changed me... but I'm sure that even now, it would be difficult for him to face me. So, I think maybe I shouldn't befriend him just for his sake," Jungkook confessed as Jimin took a second to find out what to say next. "Some friendships aren't meant to be and that's okay."

"I understand now, it should be up to him. Ah, hearing about your past is always something so difficult to process. I was always blinding myself with the idea of you being so perfect, that you wouldn't be able to hurt me by leaving. But now I know the real you and I understand you. It's better than blocking out your flaws to make you perfect when in reality, you're good just the way you are," Jimin mentioned and smiled to himself before running his hand along Jungkook's arm carefully to then set it over his shoulder. "I'll help you learn from right or wrong as long as you can help me too..."

"Of course, Jimin. I promise," Jungkook replied and softly placed his hand over Jimin's hand carefully.

As the day went by quicker than Jimin expected, Jungkook dreaded running low on energy right as he sat in front of the bed watching Jimin put on his clothes for the night. Yet, he didn't want to go. He was more than ready to pass out on Jimin's bed, but he knew he had to recharge eventually or else he wouldn't be able to turn on for the morning.

"So I see you haven't gotten over watching me, haven't you?" Jimin asked curiously as Jungkook smiled. "You're creeping me out!"

"Sorry," Jungkook said with a chuckle and looked away, staring at the dark skies just out the window before checking the weather through his system. "It's pretty cold out there... the weather is going to be bad... you should take a blanket or two."

"I'm not going to stand outside, Jungkook, I'll be fine," Jimin assured as he smiled and placed on a white puffy jacket. "If you're going to stay here a bit longer, get rid of those things you used to watch me with and make sure you lock my door before you leave to get recharged. It's almost eight-thirty and Namjoon will be here any minute."

"I just want to see you the second before you go~" Jungkook mentioned and made Jimin giggle before walking over to the android and holding his face into his hands. "I'm calm..."

"Yes you are... I can tell by those creepy blue eyes of yours!" Jimin mentioned and finally kissed his android carefully over his plump lips.

Somehow, that kiss became bittersweet to him as the longing to stay, began to eat him alive. Yet, he only silenced those overthinking thoughts as him just overreacting. Nothing was going to happen, right? Jimin couldn't distinguish right from wrong when it came to his gut telling him to stay. But just as he waited a second longer for a sign to determine his final decision, his phone began to ring.
