Chapter 51: Blind
"Jungkook, what's gotten into you?" Jimin suddenly asked, looking into the eyes of the android and finally bursting out of that bubble he seemed to get trapped in all the time. This would only happen when it came to the irresistible seduction the android would give, but this time, Jimin knew he had to put a stop to it before they went on any further. Using intercourse like that was something Jimin didn't want Jungkook to abuse.
"What do you mean? There's nothing wrong with me," Jungkook mentioned and kept his blue gaze locked onto Jimin as if his world only revolved around him. There was no other thought floating in his unpredictable mind except for the idea of making sure Jimin would stay with him. It's all he ever wanted and the idea of having his partner go with another human, was what made the android so insecure. But his longing to be a perfect human, prevented him from speaking on his fear.
"No... there has to be something, Jungkook. Why are you trying to do this to me?" Jimin asked, yet, his hands only slipped from Jungkook's grasp to set them over the Android's shoulders. Wanting his attention but also longing to deliver these words carefully since he truly didn't know what went on in his Android's head. He only knew that Jungkook could get very emotional at certain times. "You wouldn't want to use this... to manipulate me, won't you?"
"I'm... I'm not manipulating you."
"This is what it's like... you don't want me to go and you're trying to make me stay like this. I don't want you to be real enough for me when you're already enough..." Jimin continued yet, those words were only picked up by the sensor of the android but then, kicked out of his system right after. Those endless years of being told to be as perfect and as human as possible, was what dragged him down to the bottom of the ocean where he couldn't seem to find the light of Jimin's words surrounded by the abyss.
"Jimin-"
"Listen... to me... that's all I ask of you. To listen to me and understand that I don't want you to beg me to stay and try to manipulate me into doing so... I finally choose to go out of my own free will, I don't want to get too attached to only seeing you. If you are going to be here forever with me, then we will have forever, I just need this moment to be on my own. I'm only alone for a few hours, but since I haven't felt that feeling of being watched, I have to say this again and tell you that I will be fine on my own. I wouldn't want you to-"
"I understand..." Jungkook answered and finally got off of the human before standing up and looking far off to the curtains that no longer concealed the window.
Jimin genuinely couldn't tell if Jungkook was avoiding the sensation of getting too emotional on this subject or if he just wanted to stop Jimin from telling the truth. Whatever it was, Jimin only sat there and continued to look at the android stand and turn away from him while they sunk further into the silence.
"I've... I've talked to you about this before... but you would always find a way to distract me from what I feel. Jungkook, I don't want to argue with you, I want you to understand me and I want to understand you too. This is a relationship, isn't it? If it's a relationship, I shouldn't go back and forth with you in order to go out for one night," Jimin continued. No matter how many times he longed to stop talking and continue to be blind to this love that bloomed for the android, the other part of himself just couldn't stand to point out that there was something wrong with his partner and Jimin was beginning to see it all.
"Jimin, I just want you to stay with me..." Jungkook went on and suddenly turned around with tears already threatening to fall out of his eyes. "I just want you to stay! Why can't you just stay...with me?! Why do you have to go out with another, let alone a human? I want to be good enough for you to the point where you wouldn't need another human. I don't want to be just an android to you!" Jungkook suddenly lashed out, turning around and having purple fill the hues of his eyes. Mixing the melancholy dark blue and the frustrating crimson red of his emotions at once.
A chill shot through Jimin's body at that very moment. He couldn't believe Jungkook would lash out like this. The android was always well behaved and a little mysterious on what he truly was but this was new. Throwing a tantrum like a child and begging constantly only left Jimin to feel bad about the android. He only assumed that Jungkook has faced something similar before relating to the idea that he isn't good enough.
His heart grew heavy and his eyes trembled looking at the android this way, how long has the android had this fear? Could it be that all the manipulation was to keep the human close? Again, Jungkook had no understanding of loving another but once he learned that what he felt towards Jimin was indeed the human definition of love, he was desperate to keep it close because it belonged to him and his partner he adored so much after envying him for the longest.
"Jungkook, stop you can't say that-"
"Then tell me you'll stay and I'll stop! You don't understand, you don't understand that I can be enough for you!"
"Jungkook, it's just one night, it can't be that serious!"
"It's more than just that, why can't you understand that I want you to be with me, not another human that can give you more than what I can offer!" Jungkook started to raise his voice more than before. Carrying a gleam in his gloomy eyes that showed he was on the verge of breaking down into tears like a child crying for something unattainable. "Why do you want Namjoon? Do you want him because he's human?!"
"No, you know that's not true! I don't want to argue with you, please!" Jimin replied as his breathing became shaky after saying those words. He too began to mirror the tears that threatened to fall from his partner's face but the only difference was, he couldn't hold it in longer than the android could.
"I'm...." Jungkook said as he quickly began to wipe any tears that longed to fall from his face. "I'm... I'm..."
"Stop..."
"I'm sorry..." Jungkook said after stuttering and looking away to dry his tears. "I know you didn't want to argue but that was the first thing I did.... Ah- what am I doing? No wonder you want to..." just then, the android began to break down into tears. "No wonder you... want to be in the presence of another human! I must be driving you insane," Jungkook cried and began to flinch as he looked away from the human, hiding the sparks that emitted from his eyes.
Jimin listened to the android and found his flaws just like that. He now understood the fact that Jungkook valued living so much, he believed humans were flawless and perfect; everything he longed to be. This only left Jimin to walk forward to look at the android, but Jungkook only turned away from being seen again. This action alone caused Jimin to move in and hug the android from his back. Hugging him by his waist and even drying his own tears on the fabric concealing Jungkook's torso.
"My existence must be a mistake..." Jungkook continued on as Jimin listened to the subtle shocks of electricity Jungkook's tears had caused his eyes to emit.
"No it's not... you're not a mistake..." Jimin whispered and pressed his forehead against the nape of Jungkook's neck right after. "You're my Jungkook..."
Jungkook was finally silent after Jimin said those words. His eyes trembled at the knowledge of the simplest letters put together that carried so much into them. There, the android began to regret the things he did to his partner and compare them to how flawless Jimin was. His mind couldn't comprehend that he was enough but when Jimin would say words like that, he would grapple onto the assurance after being programmed to think otherwise for so long.
"I'm sorry... for everything..."
"I forgive you, also, don't be afraid to talk to me about anything wrong with you. I don't want to see you blow up like that again... it can be handled with just us... talking about it and the little things..." Jimin assured him. Somewhat relieved he was no longer blind to this. In a way, he almost knew that his love blinded him from every toxic flaw Jungkook had and in time, he realized that he had enabled all of his manipulation towards him. Jimin was just as bad as Jungkook but in the same way, they were both innocent to the taint. It became confusing to them when they wondered who the finger should be pointed at if not themselves.
"You can go out... I'm sorry you had to see that..."
"See what? It's okay to have feelings, Jungkook. I have them too..." Jimin whispered and finally pulled his hands back in order to stand in front of his partner. "Let's... let's go to the beach before I go out that night. I'll spend a lot of time with you and then you will see me the next day, the day after that... and the day after that. You will have me forever... and I will have you forever too, how does that sound?"
Jimin's words were enough to dry the Android's painful tears as he held Jungkook's hand and slowly raised it to the side of his own soft face, using Jungkook's hand to caress his warm face and softly kiss the palm of his hand. Looking him in the eyes with all the love he had for this android. Jungkook could paint out Jimin's gleaming brown eyes as the tears he shed left his nose to turn pink along with his charming eyelids. Jungkook only longed to kiss Jimin right there and kiss him in the places his tears dared to touch in order to apologize more through his actions since he felt that he didn't say enough to be forgiven.
However, Jungkook didn't dare to kiss him. Not after the burning guilt he began to have left him silent while Jimin only showed him affection. Once the human was in his arms in a caring embrace, Jungkook was distracted by the many things he did to the human. Just at that moment, Jungkook's eyes fully dyed in the red hue as his gaze locked onto a few of the usual items within the living room that always tended to watch over Jimin's every move. At that moment, he wasn't upset with Jimin, rather, he was upset with himself. With such a beautiful love came the downside of guilt from all the malicious actions he acted on before his heart would skip a beat for the human in front of him.
In fact, as the day went on, Jungkook couldn't get rid of that feeling. No matter how hard he tried, the memories playing back in his system never stopped haunting him like Hoseok's words. His eyes remained locked onto the ceiling as he laid over the couch with his partner, speaking of endless nothings that didn't seem to stick to his mind at that moment because his head was already occupied from the horrid actions of his past. After being blinded by chasing after an unreachable goal he had always believed he wanted, Jungkook was no longer blind to the weight of his actions.
