Chapter 48: Forget

"Namjoon... I'll call you back," Jimin said into the call and after saying those words, he hung up and continued to look Yoongi in the eyes.

No matter how many times Jimin would blink, that android; that pale and charming creation, still kept the gummy smile over his pouty lips as if he knew nothing and the truth was, he truly didn't. It was the curiosity that drove him here, nothing more and nothing less. Jimin thought he would always be prepared for this moment, but unfortunately, he only pushed it away and accepted Jungkook into his life, not facing the issue at hand. Only now, he was faced with his problems.

"Why is he here? How did he get here? I thought he was deactivated but I guess he was reactivated recently... if he was, he doesn't remember me at all..." Jimin thought and kept his trembling gaze locked onto the young android before him. "The one that stole my heart and left, has returned but barely knows my name..."

"Hello..." Yoongi spoke up. Interrupting Jimin's thoughts and leaving him to look away. Avoiding the blue eyes he used to spend hours adoring so much. Now, he only became saddened and upset by the sudden look of them. Standing at crossroads when it came to hating him and missing him at the same time.

"How... Can I help you?" Jimin pushed himself to ask, yet, no matter how hard he tried, his eyes always found a way to look up to the eyes he never knew how much even the smallest side of him could miss.

"I...was searching for a man's house and then I ended up here... do you know anyone by the name of Jung Hoseok? Can you help me?" Yoongi asked and stepped forward, only to watch Jimin's eyes glisten at the sight of him standing before him and stepping back the second Yoongi came forward. "Just point me to the direction and I will leave you alone-"

"No..." Jimin whispered to himself. Unaware that he suddenly spoke out to the android without a warning.

      "No?"

"A-Ah, I didn't mean that, I meant... okay!" Jimin replied and couldn't stop looking Yoongi in the eyes. Taking another moment to reminisce that eerie feeling of what once was, but now, became nothing within seconds.

Somehow, there was that small little something; that something in the size of a spec, inside him that hoped Yoongi could remember the longer he remained staring, but he only wasted his time looking at an android that could never recall. Besides. It was only a small part of him that still clung onto the time he was truly happy. Of course, he was happy with the mysterious robot he was with now, right? Jimin knew this and was quick to put off any small doubt, yet he stood there, as if he waited for this moment the second he said his goodbyes to the android he once knew and once loved.

"Well?" Yoongi asked as Jimin only shot his hand up and pointed to the direction of Hoseok's house instantly.

"T-There..." he spoke out once more and with that, he watched the android nod his head and look over to the direction where Hoseok and Jungkook lived together. "Do you... need anything else?" Jimin hesitated to ask.

In reality, he wanted to run as far as he could from this place, but at the same time, that side of him that dreamed of Yoongi returning to him and staying, only longed to run from this place with his hand intertwined with the android. That's how Jimin knew he hadn't moved on from the past and only shoved it away. With Jungkook, he pushed the thought of Yoongi away, never really facing it until it came back around to haunt him like this. Constantly toying with my him and standing before him like a fool.

Yoongi suddenly began to detect a tear running down Jimin's eyes the more his gaze would latch onto the android for more than a second. Yet, the saddest part was, was the fact that Yoongi didn't know why. That could have been the toughest thing Jimin had to realize now. That Yoongi didn't know or care about him now and if he ever did, he would only be serving his purpose as an android who only lived to protect and satisfy. Nothing else.

"Are you alright?" Yoongi asked, tilting his head and watching a tear race down Jimin's familiar little face. "Do you need to talk about it?"

"What?" Jimin asked, snapping out of another memory he kept with the android long before as he quickly dried the tears coming from his eyes. "Oh, no I'm fine... I'm fine..."

       "Are you sure?"

"Y-Yes... you... you should be on your way now. Goodbye," claimed the human. Pushing his weary hand forward to hold onto the doorknob and step back. He finally found it in him to pull away from the one he loved and before he could close the door, the android stepped forward until his black leather boot stood in the way of the door closing. This alone caused Jimin to flinch and gaze at the boot Yoongi always wore even on the brightest of days. "Y-You have... have to go..."

The weak tremble of his voice surfaced into the sentence and Yoongi knew he shouldn't have bothered the human, but he couldn't help but to dwell on that familiar feeling he received before when he was just reviewing Taehyung's memories. He just couldn't stop himself from longing to ask about his past and going against Seokjin's words in order to avoid needing another memory wipe.

"Wait... I have something to ask you..." Yoongi stated, placing his hand on the door and running it along the small details, practically feeling a clump of dry paint where the door was repainted at least a few times.

       "W-What do you want?"

"I want to know... have we met before? I get the sense that you're very familiar to me...and you may not know, but my memory was wiped. I've recently been reactivated after a while and my creator, Kim Seokjin, mentioned that this is only a temporary feeling of familiarity. After a while, this feeling will fade so I just wanted to know before that moment comes, did we meet in my past run?" asked the creation.

Jimin could see it now. The begging in this creation's eyes, the loss painted and embedded into the small coded words in his blue gaze and the way he demanded to know in order to soothe the plague of curiosity that overcame his system. Jimin wanted to say many things, he wanted to remind the android of how much he meant to him and how much he used to love him but yet again, the word that stood out to Jimin the most was 'loved'. Yoongi had no recollection of how much he meant to him and there was no way he could ever have those memories back because one way or another, he would only get another information overload and Jimin would run the risk of losing the same one again.

Somehow, this was what Jimin needed. To know that the love he dreamt of and cried over every night, was always going to be an unattainable dream after the time he had with the android before had passed. Yoongi no longer belonged to him and his own heart, his own little heart that only kept getting hurt over and over again, no longer belonged to the android. Alas, Jimin's heart didn't beat for this creation anymore, it would beat for another and that was Jeon Jungkook himself. After all this time, wishing and missing Yoongi, Jimin thought the pain would double the second he ran into his old lover, but he was wrong. It was the exact opposite and now, he finally understood what moving on felt like and it hurt so much, but that was only the beginning before the calm.

"Yes, we have," Jimin confessed and dried all the tears that raced from his eyes.

"Did I... hurt you in my past run?"

"No, you didn't. You were perfect," Jimin assured and made a smile as the android followed along and gave him the most heartwarming smile that Jimin always kept in his memories associated with his old love.

      "What... was I to you?"

"A great friend. One of the best... I'm happy to see you again, Min Yoongi..." Jimin went on, watching Yoongi nod his head happily as the curiosity he once had, fled from his system.

"I wouldn't want to ask anymore, I don't want to get another information overload. I'm glad we were friends and I'm glad to meet you again. What's your name?"

       "Jimin, Park Jimin."

"Well, it's great to meet you again, Park Jimin. I hope we can become good friends again in this new run of mine. I must be going now, I'll see you again soon!" Yoongi continued on and finally stepped back. "Have a great day."

"Goodbye, Min Yoongi..." Jimin whispered and finally dried his last tear as he watched the android give him one last smile and run off. Signaling Jimin to finally close the door and remain within the four lonely walls that once told the story of their love that once lived and came to an end.

Now, Jimin no longer cried. He thought he would curl up in Yoongi's old room and cry until he drowned in his endless sorrows, but he didn't. He smiled to himself and could finally see himself put away the memories he once hoarded of the android into a box in his mind before storing it away in a safe space. The memories that once brought him tears, now made him smile. He walked over to the couch and sat down, looking up at the ceiling as he pressed the button on the side to look at the new memory of the beach sitting on his lockscreen. Glad to know that finally, this was what moving on felt like. He no longer cried and this was what he needed to see, to see Yoongi and come to terms on what happened the day he was deactivated. To him, he now felt that there was enough space in his heart to focus on Jeon Jungkook completely now. Moving on for the better to Jimin never felt so good.

At the same time, Yoongi stood outside Jung Hoseok's house and observed the building, looking at the windows and every little detail of the path leading to the front door. His eyes never turned away until he knew that this moment was recorded into his memories. He located where he stood and once his system copied the address, he closed his hand into a fist and only stuck out his thumb and his pinky finger out to raise it to his ear and mouth. Just then he looked at the house and began to call Kim Seokjin.

"Hello?" The voice of the creator filled the sensors of the Android and caused him to smile.

"Sir, I have the location set and recorded into my system. I will send you the address as soon as possible," claimed the android with a smile.

"Really? Good job. I'll save the address and when my schedule allows it, I'll give Hoseok a visit personally. Thank you for your hard work, my little android," Seokjin answered.

By now, Seokjin had already dreamt of coming back into the life of his old right-hand man because just like two sides of a coin, he just couldn't live without him and neither could Hoseok. Even if there were many flaws in between them and Hoseok was doing just fine without him, not once did Seokjin ever think he could ruin his friend, he only longed to see him again even after being betrayed over an android. His longing to put a stop to the imperfection grew more the second he would think of the address that was just sent to him. When it came to Jungkook's existence, Seokin just couldn't forget the day he made the mistake of making him and Hoseok knew it.
