Chapter 40: You Don't Love Me

Violence up ahead.

"You trust me enough to tell me... right?" Jimin continued to speak as if Jungkook could truly hear his cries, but he couldn't. Jimin only eased his doubtful thoughts with the idea that he could just to assure himself. "You can tell me what's wrong with you... it wouldn't matter, we can get through that. I just.. I just don't want to lose you too..."
Jimin whispered through his tears and kept the image of Jungkook in his head until he laid on the couch to remain assuring himself no matter what. Longing to ease his worries by telling himself these words over and over again. In reality, he wasn't ready to find the flaws in Jungkook and find out if he had a defect, if he did there would be a chance that he would lose him too, and that was something Jimin wasn't ready for.
His eyes weighed in shut as he tried every tactic to release the words Taehyung told him. Yet, it was hard to move on from them. Everything Taehyung said had to be true one way or another, in no way was the android capable of making things up as he pleased. Eventually leaving Jimin to tuck in a few details of the words that were spoken to him, in order to keep it in mind much later. He knew that if he couldn't forget about the words, he might as well keep them in mind for the reason that Taehyung just seemed very concerned for his safety. Even though Jimin couldn't believe it, he acknowledged it and set it aside for now and that alone was able to dry his tears.
After a good few hours, Hoseok remained standing at the entry of the kitchen; fidgeting with anything he could find as he constantly looked at the clock up ahead. His eyes never seemed to lock onto an item for too long before he would move his gaze onto something else; trying his best to occupy all thoughts when it came to settling on the idea of Jeon Jungkook discovering that he was in his room just earlier.
The constant if or when, began to haunt the human as he reached for the mail just sitting on the counter and began to rush through it. Letting out sharp exhales to ease his worries in between every turn of the page.
"The mail just seems to get shorter and shorter... less stress for me, now I can-"
"Hello, Hoseok..." A voice called out to him as his heart dropped. That familiar, raspy, bone chilling voice, caused every hair on his neck to stand as the same shot of cold pumped through his body abruptly. "You almost never complain about the mail, shouldn't you be proud there isn't that much?"
"Oh... right..." Hoseok replied and set the stack within his hands, down onto the counter almost instantly. "You're completely right..."
"I've learned that humans love to complain about the little things... is it a way that they cope? Humans are very interesting creatures, they could be so smart, yet, so dumb at times," Jungkook continued as he walked past Hoseok standing at the entry to the kitchen before stopping at the center of the space. "Yet, so curious and so predictable."
"Jungkook... I know what this is leading to but please, I-"
"You went into my room, didn't you?" Asked the android as his eyes still remained on a calm blue with purple shining through the center. Revealing a mix between frustration and calmness. "Just tell me you did, Hoseok..."
"I did... I did..." Hoseok replied and watched the smile erupt from the Android's face as he turned around and faced the human at once.
"I hope you found whatever you were looking for... or realized that you only dug your own grave. Snooping around, I should have seen it coming, but I didn't and here we are now. When I thought setting up the UV light within my cold room was enough to scare you off, but that didn't seem to work, didn't it?" The android went on and never peeled his gaze away from the human. "Looking for these, Hoseok?"
The second Jungkook said that, he raised his index finger and showed a small micro camera sitting on the tip of his finger. As Hoseok took a second to inspect it further, his eyes widened and his lips parted from each other to gasp.
"You had it the whole time? I've asked you many times before, Jungkook!" Hoseok replied and before he could walk over to the android in order to get it, Jungkook stepped back and pulled his hand further away as the smile deepened over his face. "What are you doing? Give it to me!"
"You seem desperate to have these in your possession when they have been sitting in that box within that room for quite some time now, what makes them so special now? You didn't need them then, why do you want them now?"
"You don't have to know why! You have kept them hidden from me knowing that I wanted to know where they were!"
"Oh Hoseok, whatever do you need one hundred micro cameras for?" Jungkook teased as he continued to move his hand away each time Hoseok struggled to reach for it. "It doesn't matter that I kept it hidden, you never needed it until now..."
"Jungkook, stop playing around! Give it to me, it's worth a fortune!" rambled on the human. "Why do you need them?"
"I never said I needed them. You know me, I collect things that interest me and this had to be one of them~ it could even serve as my own window to the lives of the living," Jungkook said as his purple gaze shifted into an emerald green. "If you don't tell me why you need them, I can easily crush this... expensive... micro camera within my fingers and do the same to the rest."
"You're bluffing..."
"Hoseok, you're pretty bold; don't you treasure this expensive item? Maybe you wouldn't since you can always go back to the department and have Seokjin give you another~ just tell him these micro cameras had a flaw and he will be quick to get rid of it and replace it! All since he's so good at doing that to his own creations like nothing, why don't you do that instead?"
"Ah, stop it! What do you want from me?" Hoseok hissed and stopped trying to reach for the micro camera. "Do you really want me to tell you? Fine, I want to use those cameras to watch over you. I can't tell what you're up to every time you leave the house and that's the only way that will provide me with a window to your life! From what I saw in your room, I can't tell if Jimin's life is in danger when it comes to you..."
"Really? Is that what you think of me?" Jungkook asked as his eyes shifted from green, back into a crimson hue. "You think I'm going to... hurt...Park Jimin?"
"I don't think, I know! You're too fascinated with him... and we both know that you become intrigued, envious, loving, obsessive, and jealous towards humans. Need I say more?"
"So you think you can just watch over me like a child? I'm not a child, Hoseok!"
"Well, if I have to say it I will, if you don't want me to watch over you through micro cameras, you have to stop seeing Park Jimin. It's bad enough that Taehyung is already suspicious of you!"
"And who's fault is that? You brought that android into our home and took him into my room!"
"How was I supposed to know you kept notes all about Jimin in specific detail of what he does and how much you envy those actions?! You need to make a decision, stay here and away from him, or have the micro cameras monitoring your every move."
"Both options are not doable. You don't need to know what Jimin and I do every now and then. As long as I don't come home covered in blood, shouldn't that be a sign that shows how careful I am?! I'm not staying away from him either!" Jungkook raised the tone to his voice as he set the micro camera down and walked towards the human, causing Hoseok to stand in place, but fight back every quiver of fear he longed to let out.
"How difficult is it to just stay away? You've lived your whole existence well before meeting him, I don't see why can't you step away from Jimin and let him breathe! There's nothing wrong with leaving him alone until Taehyung is no longer-"
"I SAID I'M NOT STAYING AWAY FROM HIM!" Jungkook lashed out, panting out of the anger that pumped through his system. "I'm never going to stay away... why can't you understand that I'm happy with him? Why do you want to take him away from me? He's mine..."
"Jungkook... you've...grown attached to him, haven't you?" Hoseok asked and watched as the android continued to deepen his glare. "He was your first... no wonder you're talking crazy! Jungkook, this isn't good, I'll have no other choice but to send you off, you could be dangerous to him. You're unpredictable and-"
In that second, it was swift. The way Jungkook instantly charged towards Hoseok and before the human knew it, he was on the ground, caged underneath the creation in the kitchen space. His eyes blew wide as his hands were quickly pinned down on the cold tiled floor.
"JUNGKOOK!"
"Don't say it... don't you dare say want to take me away... how could you? I'm his protector, his partner, his closest friend. There is no way you're going to take him away from me. I'm finally acting more human than any other creation out there and now you want to take that away from me? Am I not good enough for you now?" Jungkook asked into a raspy whisper as his eyes never looked away from the human's gaze.
"Jungkook, please! Ah- you're dangerous to his existence more than ever! Your attachment is making you crazy!"
"Maybe you don't like the idea that I'm more human now... what's the matter, Hoseok? Are you mad that I'm finally becoming what you and Seokjin wanted from the start? A creation more human? I gained all of these things through you... Seokjin is my creator but you... you created me into the android I am now," Jungkook continued as he used the tight grip of one hand to lock over Hoseok's wrists while the other trailed up the human's chest and finally rested on his neck. "I've learned so much from you... but now, you will learn the dangers of taking away something I truly need... just like a human needs oxygen."
"JUNGKOOK, STOP IT-" Hoseok shouted and began to squirm, however, the android didn't apply any pressure to the neck of his co-creator at that moment, he glared at the human below him and counted the seconds until he would actually do so. As Hoseok began to squirm and kick, Jungkook remained there, thinking of losing Jimin all because Hoseok longed to separate them. "You can't do this to me!"
"Why not? You're tempted to get in between me and Jimin... you can't take him away from me, I won't let you... I can't go on if you're going to be waiting for my mistakes... I don't want any threats and the only way to do so is to get rid of the source... if there's a flaw, get rid of it... just like Seokjin says and just like you said when it came to me, any mess ups and I'm out. Time for me to hold you accountable in the same way, I've learned from you, are you proud of me?"
"Jungkook, please! Don't do this, I can't let you harm me like this! If you c-carryout with this, you might end up doing the same to Jimin! You'll harm him!"
"I will never harm him, Hoseok... the only one I'm hurting is you. Park Jimin is mine... all mine and you can't be the one to ruin it! Your actions will be your undoing... you tried your best to make me human, now that I feel closer to that goal, you don't like it? You think I'm a danger to Jimin? I can never please you... nor Seokjin. Is that why you hide me from him?"
As Jungkook began to set his hand slowly and the pressure over the human's neck began to build up, Hoseok continued to kick and squirm beneath the android.
"Now I'm curious, How does it feel? To be taken away from something you need in order to survive?"
"Jungkook! Ck- s-stop! I... I never... I never hated you... I've always loved you as my own! E-Even if I never made you, I-I still raised you... I still love you like any... any other! Don't... don't ck- don't do this to me!" Hoseok cried, squirming until Jungkook tilted his head and before he could continue applying pressure, Hoseok noticed a tear beginning to escape Jungkook's gaze.
"If you loved me from the start, you could have told me that I didn't need all of these upgrades... that I was perfect just the way I was and that I didn't need to be like a human. But now look at me...obsessed and envious with the dream of being human... now you can't control me? You made me this way..." Jungkook growled and leaned in closer as the crimson hue of his gleaming eyes dug into Hoseok's soul. "Now I don't even believe those words when it should have been the thing that prevented me from becoming this way. Jung Hoseok, you... don't love me..."
Before Jungkook could allow his tear to cause a spark in his round eyes, a knock was heard from the door, this left the android to loosen his grip around Hoseok's neck and turn his attention over to the door. Still keeping the human underneath him all while Hoseok remained there, lying and tearing up at what Jungkook told him prior to being interrupted.
