This is the story of how I came out to my family & friends.
It's not dramatic, or heart wrenching, or sad, or romantic. It's just me saying "I'M BISEXUAL, MOTHERFUCKERS!"

My mum:
We had just gotten back from my Granma's place. We had all spoken about the LGBTQ+ community and my mum was like "Nobody wants a gay child."
That made me upset and a cried and they were like "Are you gay?" and I was like "No." and they were like "Okay."
Then when mum and I got home I went to my room and cried a bit more and my mum came in.
She looked me straight (pun definitely intended) in the eyes and said, "Amber, when I said that nobody wants a gay child, I didn't mean that I had anything against gays, I just meant that no parent wants their child to go through bullying or anything because of being gay. If you think you are gay, then that's fine. I'll let you figure that out."
Once again, I cried.
Mum said, "So... do you just like girls or is boys and girls or..?" She trailed off, a questioning look in her eye.
I let out a short laugh, "I... like boys and girls..."
Mum chuckled, "I knew that it couldn't be just girls, you gawk at the hot guys on TV too much to be like that."
We both laughed for a bit more, then she left.

My sister and her boyfriend (Tenille and Nathan):
It was dinner time. We were at the table eating and sometime in the middle of it Nathan said, "People say that all women are bi. Either bisexual or bipolar."
Mum then asked Tenille and Nathan to block their ears for a moment and she quietly asked me, "Do you want to tell them?"
I said yes.
Mum said that they could listen now. "Amber has something to tell you two."
And I was like, "I didn't think you meant right now!"
Mum just smiled and looked at the two of them.
"Nathan, you know how you said that all women are either bisexual or bipolar?"
"Yeah?" Nathan said.
"Well, Amber's not bipolar." Mum said.
It was silent for a few seconds, then they were like "Cool!"
All was well.

Basically all of my friends:
"I'M BISEXUAL, BITCHES!"
Let it be known that basically all of my friends are either gay, lesbian, pansexual, asexual, or bisexual. That made coming out to them a little easier:)
