"So remember your homework class, and I hope to see you at the fun fair tomorrow!"
The students got out of their seats and rushed for the exit. Kari walked down the hall with her friends.
"Hey did you hear about the girl that got murdered a few days ago?" Jesse asked, his brown eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Yeah, her name was Kari wasn't it? Same as mine." Kari replied.
"When I-I heard it on the T.V this morning I fr-freaked out!" Mandalina spoke up.
"Oh Dali, you know I would never get murdered!" Kari laughed, "No way no how."
"You shouldn't say things like that Kari. They just might." Melody stated coming up behind them.
Kari shook her head, "Anyway. Are you guys going to the fun fair tomorrow?"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world!" Jesse smiled.
"I-I'll be there.'
"Yeah me too."
"Cool! Let's all meet in front of the abandoned warehouse!" Kari decided.
"B-but Kari! That's were that girl got murdered!" Dali squeaked.
"All the better! We should see if her ghost is still there!" Kari exclaimed.
Her three friends looked at each other uneasily.

"Kari th-there are off-officers and it says that it's off li-limits... Let's go back to the f-fair..." Dali whispered.
"No way! This is the exciting part!" Kari replied quietly.
"Then how do you plan on getting in?" Melody asked.
Kari pointed upwards, "A place adults can't go."
Jesse, Dali, and Melody looked up; there above them was a small window that would let them squeeze through.
"I'll go first!" Kari grinned and climbed up to the window.
She opened it and silently signaled for her friends to follow before slipping down into the building.
"I'll go next." Jesse said summoning up his bravery.
He climbed up through the window and followed Kari into the darkness. Dali and Melody looked at each other.
"My turn." Melody climbed up and disappeared into the warehouse.
Dali gulped and climbed up to the window. Inside was all black.
"Come on Dali!" came Kari's harsh whisper.
Dali dropped quietly into the blackness. Kari pulled out her phone and turned on her flashlight.
"This isn't so bad now is it?" Kari grinned.
Dali held Melody's hand tightly. Melody sighed and walked along behind Jesse and Kari. Jesse nervously looked at Kari's hand and Kari just continued walking.
Suddenly Kari jumped back.
"What is it Kari?" Jesse asked.
"Officers." She hissed and turned off her flashlight.
Two officers walked by them.
"I can't believe we still haven't found the body. It's impossible in this building!" an officer bursted out.
"They still haven't found the body?" Jesse thought.
He felt Kari's excitement from beside him and sighed quietly grabbing her arm.
"Come on." he said and she beamed.
"Wh-where are you two going?!" Dali questioned.
"To find the dead body! Duh!" Kari stated.
"What?!" Dali exclaimed.
"Shhhhh!" Kari shushed her, "If you're too scared then leave."
Dali gulped, "I-I'll come."
***
"What?!" a shrill voice shrieked, "I murdered Kari Taro! What is she doing walking around?!"
A slim, black, heeled boot thumped onto the floor with a loud clack.
"How dare you try to trick me Kari! We were friends!" a wicked grin almost lit up the darkness, "I guess I'll just have to kill you again."
***
"Do you feel like someone is watching us?" Melody asked looking up into the rafters.
"D-don't say that." Dali frowned.
"Where did Jesse and Kari go...?"
"What? They're right... There...?" Dali looked to where the two teens had been.
"Ara, ara. Looks like you girls are all alone."
"Wh-who's there?!" Dali called out into the darkness.
The figure of a slim woman stepped towards them, "Hello young ladies." she said in a wicked tone.
"Dali... Get back..." Melody mumbled.
"Don't worry girls," The woman reached into her boot and pulled out a bloodied knife, "it'll all be over soon."
A scream rang out and was soon met with another; and then the warehouse was silent once again.
"Those screams, do you think they could've been Dali and Melody?" Kari asked turning to look behind them.
"Maybe..." Jesse replied.
Kari's grip on Jesse's hand tightened.
"Jesse..."
"Y-yes?"
"I found the body..."
