"What kind of Wattpad Reviewer make you want to stop writing forever?"

Now I have noticed that a lot of Wattpad reviewers are so mean!

All they do is skim through our books searching for errors and mistakes and then they make it sound so horrible, all we want to do is crawl into a hole and never write again!⛔

And no!
I am not saying they —(or we- because I am a reviewer too😂)— are all horrible at their job.

There are some out there that are really kind and they really want to help writers improve, those are the ones we love💕💕💕💕

Rob: I hate reviewers that absolutely slate work, deliberately finding things to complain about only to read their work and realise that their writing is quite frankly shocking!

There are some reviewers that have really horrible stories and writing style, yet they have the nerve to criticise other people's work that are far better than theirs. . .

It takes forever for them to read my book and when they do, I can tell they only skimmed it. Like, really?
Don't commit if you can't deliver!

Lilly: Yes, DO NOT COMMIT! Reviewing takes a lot of time and brain power, do not commit if you can't deliver guys. . .

Lilly: So I am going around asking everybody what they hate about Wattpad Reviewers, I don't even know if I make a lot of sense but yeah- what is your opinion?

Reed: You're making a lot of sense.

I don't see those kind of people as reviewers. They're just hating no matter how fluent and verbose they sound with their whacky 'review'.

And when you read their own work, you'll discover tons of errors that will make you want to crawl out of your hole and yell, "I'm a godamn awesome writer"

Lilly: So, what do you think of Wattpad reviewers?

Ali: Sorry, I've not had a review yet but I have had a little experience.

Firstly, I'm not a fan of reviews that exclude an alternative to what is criticised negatively.

One thing I have experienced is being told my blurb is very vague which I agree is but given how my book possesses many mystery elements as anyone who has read at least two parts of it would see.
My blurb does not give any details of the story away but conveys the tone of my book perfectly well which is what a person who does not like spoilers would appreciate but I felt the reviewer should have understood and offered an alternative approach.

I have been a judge myself and as such I feel the responsibility to both understand the work and suggest alternative routes that would improve what I see as falling short.

I think reviewers should try finding the good side of authors and helping them grow even more by suggesting alternative routes in places where the author falls short.

Let's just try and encourage people to write more and get better, do not destroy good dreams by being mean for no good reason!
