Another bright day in the Garden of Eden Interviews, and today we have the talented Temitope840  with her work 'Shackles Freed' which got Third place in the Romance category of the Gemstones Award 2020.

Li: Welcome to the show Temi!🌹
Let's go straight to the business of the day, What is the story behind your story?

Te: Thanks Lilly, I'm happy to be here.
The book and movie, 'Fifty Shades of Grey' actually inspired me to write 'Shackles Freed' . Although trying to write an exact story like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' isn't exactly an easy task, I am happy something came out of my crazy idea.

Li: I haven't fully watched that movie but I've seen some parts of it, (yeah it's that unbelievable, your favourite host haven't seen Fifty shades of Grey😪)

Which character really inspired your book?

Te: So...the character that got me so deeply in love with that movie and made me decide to create Shackles Freed, was Christian Grey. I made my character, Justin Anderson to be more like him, so..yeah, he inspired my book.

Li: That's cool. So why did you decide to call yours Shackles Freed?

Te: I basically drew the title from the same movie. Given all the similarities, I decided to give it that title.

Li: So you got the words straight from the movie?

Te: No. The words for the title kind of just popped into my head after dinner one night and I quickly jotted it down.

Li: Ah! I see. So why did you choose the names Justin and Austin? Is it because they rhyme?😁

Te: Well... I have no reason. I just picked them randomly really. I have always loved the name Justin though, so that one was more natural but Austin and the others just popped into my mind.

Li: Why do I suddenly crave popcorn?🤔 *don't mind me there☺

Moving on, tell me about Staccy's relationship with her best friend, where did they meet?

Te: Staccy and Bridget are childhood friends. So they definitely met when they were little kids.

Li: So, I just have to ask this, what is Austin's problem? What does he want from Staccy? At first, I thought he was a massive show off when he made her call Mr. Anderson's office when he could just walk in on his own! After that I thought he wanted her, but then he kidnapped her only to steal presentation papers, who does that?

Te: Justin is a crazy dominant and had his eyes on Staccy ever since the interview, and Austin being his friend knew this.
You see, Austin has always been envious of Justin and couldn't figure out a way of getting to him until Staccy came into the picture.

Li: Is that why he kidnapped her?

❌❌❌

(Oh shut up Sophie, you are not even suppose to be here!)

Sophie: I am not here, the Buzzer has been wired to go off when it senses spoilers.

(Whatever!)

Sophie: Why am I not here, anyway?

(This is no book for little girls. Now shush!)

Sophie: I'm not a- never mind! Bye!

(Bye😎!)

As I was saying Temi, so Austin kidnapped Staccy to get back at Justin?

Te: He noticed Staccy's presence would definitely weaken Justin and he decided to use her to get to him. On a norm, the file which Justin gave Staccy could have been delivered by Justin himself, but he intentionally, called Staccy over just to spend more time with her.
Austin, who's been sneaking around, monitoring the both of them, succeeded in kidnapping and taking the file from her.
Another thing is, Austin initially liked Staccy but knew he wouldn't be able to have her because Justin already showed interest.

Li: So he just went to her house, messed everything up for a piece of paper?

Te: The file in which he snatched held about 60% of Justin's shared contract with his business partners. If Austin had succeeded in selling those files, it would have been horrible for Justin.

Li: Ah! I see why Justin became so worried.
Who was your favourite character?

Te: My favourite character would definitely be Staccy Peters. Her innocence, submissiveness and her affection to change a dominant got my attention.

Li: Staccy seemed like a very clumsy character to me😂 I can still picture her falling in front of all the staffs😄 but yeah she is an innocent character.

So who is your least favourite?

Te: My least favourite character would be Staccy's mother. I dislike mothers who tend to show more affection towards one of their offsprings. With everything Staccy went through, I expected her to stand by her but she didn't. At a point, I felt I should just scrap her image away from the story but I just couldn't because she still is important.

Li: Yeah, it is terrible for a mother or father to show more love to one child and ignore the others.

Were there any funny or weird moments when you were writing this story?

Te: Definitely.. The part where I had to describe sex scenes cracked me up.

Li: Why is that?☺

Te: Because they were just so awkward☺ At a point, I didn't know what to write. It took me three weeks to finish up a part containing sex scenes! I had to keep reflecting on the different sex scenes I have watched and read.

Li: uuuuh that's quite erotic☺
Okay, so what was your favourite moment in the story?

Te: My favourite moment in the story, was when Justin proposed to Staccy.

Li: Uuh why is that? Have you been proposed to?

Sophie: Now you are just being nosy🙄

(None of your business!)

Te: Proposed to? Not yet...
But I am looking forward to it☺ I regarded it as my favourite moment because I imagine myself in her shoes, each time I read that part.

Li: Awwww...that's just sweet.
So which was your least favourite moment?

Te: My least favourite moment was when Staccy had to travel to Spain, due to a fight she had with Justin.

Li: Why didn't you like that part? (You no wun' make the girl travel out ni?🙄)

Te: I basically have no reason though😁. I just felt she could have stayed to find out why Justin was precisely like that.

Li: Alright! Now let me ask you a random question, if you were given an apple juice and an orange juice, what would you pick?

Te: Apple juice most definitely.

Li: Okay, we are almost reaching the end of the show, do you want to give a shout out to someone?
