Today, I have with me, one of the sweetest people on this platform. I am talking about the Queen_Of_Fantasyland. We are going to be talking about her book, 'The Mystery of Donjon Academy'.

Now, technically we shouldn't have accepted this book because it barely had 2-3 chapters as at the time the interview was done but she has such a bubbling personality that we couldn't refuse a chance to help her book gain more reads. Her writing journey is still relatively fresh but she's getting there❤

Without further ado let the interview begin!💐

Hey, Dream Queen!

Tell me about your writing journey, with this book especially?

DQ: Hey Lily.
First time, I wrote this fantasy story, it was in my mother tongue. Next, I wrote it in English changing the story theme.
Then, I found Wattpad and started writing here. After writing few chapters, I understood that stories usually gained more attention by readers only when the first chapters of the story they are reading is worth it. So I started working even harder and tried to change a couple of things.

Li: Wattpad readers can be really demanding sometimes😁
So, what exactly did you change about your story?

DQ: So I changed the theme of the story and some characters, though the main part is same.

Li: Where are you from?
Translating a draft is so hard, I can only imagine the work and time you've put into it.

DQ: I am from the West Bengal in India.

Li: Oh that's cool, what's your first language?

DQ: My mother tongue is Bengali.

Li: You are definitely teaching me some Bengali!
Back to the interview, tell me what your story, "The Donjon Academy" really about?

DQ: This story is about a girl named Elizabeth. She found out that she is a Witch on her 12th birthday and she was sent to a Wizarding school named "Donjon Academy for witches and wizards "

Li: Oh! I see, so why did you decide to go for the title, 'Mystery of Donjon Academy?'

DQ: So, throughout the whole year, Elizabeth made new friends, learnt magic and more. But her curiosity lead her into the deepest secrets of the Four Founders and soon after that Students of Donjon started disappearing. That's why, I named the book "Mystery of Donjon Academy"

Li: Lol; I was about to say, you basically gave your blurb back. But tell me, where did you get the word 'Donjon' from?

DQ: One day, I was finding the names of castle, so I can write it in my story as school and found one in Google😜😜😜

Li: Oh so the Donjon Academy exist?

DQ: Oh it's not same as mine. Though the name is same in my imagination the Academy is completely different.

Li: Oh🤔. . .so, what inspired your story?

DQ: My story is inspired by Harry Potter stories. Really, I love Harry Potter so much, that I can't explain😄😊.
I am a true Potterhead and can answer every single question from Harry Potter.🤗

Li: Okay, any other Potter fan in the studio?

DQ: 😂No Lilly, I can't hear any cricket.
Anyway, This Fantastic Novel of J.K. Rowling inspired me to write my story,  which is also a wizarding world story but my story is completely different from Harry Potter.

Li: Moving on, who is your favourite character?

DQ: My favourite character in my story is Katherine. Her entry isn't done yet but she will come soon.

Li: Oh🤔 almost every new author is attached to their MC, why do you prefer Katherine instead of Elizabeth?

DQ: Yes, everyone of them is my favourite and the main character is just wow! But if I don't count the main character then it's Katherine.

Li: Who is this Katherine anyway?

DQ: She is a friend of Elizabeth and is an outstanding witch!😍 The most talented one!

Li: I think it has become a trend for authors to be more in love with a supporting character and not the leads.

Oh well, it's all good.

Who is your least favourite?

DQ: I love all the characters.  No one is my least favourite!

Li: Awwww, that's so sweet!

So, what's your favourite scene in the story?

DQ: My favourite scenes will be when, Elizabeth will be able to know the greatest truth about her.

Li: Ha! The reveal!
I saw the trailer you did for your book, I think it's very cool and captured the most part of the published chapters. You did a lot of work on your book, well done!

DQ: Thank you!

Li: Okay now, what does her parents do for a living, I don't think you mentioned that?

DQ: Yeah, her dad is the Minister for Magic, himself and her mom is a Reliver.
Doctors are named as Reliver in wizarding world

Li: Ooh! That's beautiful.
But Elizabeth didn't know all this, right?

DQ:  No. She will know it on her birthday.

Li: So what did she think her parents did for a living?

DQ: She thought her mom was a house wife and dad a business man

Li: Oooh that makes a lot of sense!

So, how did you find Wattpad?

DQ:  I was searching for a writing pad and found watty💃

Li: Great! So what's your plan for Wattpad?

DQ: I plan to write more stories here and make friends as more as possible.❤

Li: Of course, we all want a group of friends that understands and supports our passion.
