So: I was on a mission to find cute guys with awesome books and low reads, turns out they are so hard to find!😭😭
80% of Wattpad writers are girls! (No offense ladies) and the boys I found already have enough exposure!😖 (Or were bloodsuckers! I'm anti-bloodsucker! Not like some people I know😤)

So: I never mentioned your name. (Innocent me🤗)

Anywho, I ended up discovering a talented Lady who is inlove with Animes! Yes!

Make some noise for  MavisFarah She's the author of the beautiful book titled "The Bewitched Crow"

Without further delay, let's get into our interview 🤗

What is TBC about?

MF: TBC is a story that explores the after-effects of young children who had to unfortunately, fight for their own freedom. Despite that, they do gain that freedom yet in a sense, they are stuck in the past.

Now as adults, they have severe psychological problems that cause external and internal harm to those who they once fought for and cared for.

It also blinds their principles and beliefs;  worst of all, it blurs the line between men and monsters. I explore these issues through the eyes of a man, The Crow, who was the cook of the Shapeshifter's army.

So: This are interesting facts. They really have gotten affected by that war. The war against the Shapeshifters and the Ordinary people.

Especially The Crow🤔

MF: Yes The Crow is a sensitive man who has fallen in love with a woman he shouldn't have. It challenges him and forces him to face the cruelty behind the war. But freeing himself from the invisible chains is much harder than the visible ones.

So: That's very sad.😞

Why that title?

MF: The title has a double meaning which will only make sense until the end of the novel. So I can't go too much into details, without spoiling it.

So: Noooo! We have to wait?😖 More suspense? Whyyyy??😭

Anyways, I'll let it go off the hook since I'm the Spoiler police. Why am I the Spoiler police?🤦😭

Li: Now you know how it feels when you hit the buzzer on me! Ha! No peace for the wicked!
(Chuckles evily)😈

So: 😒 Ignore that Lady

What inspired you to write this book?

MF: I'm quite vocal about this since I want other people to know(who have this too) that they're not alone. I have PTSD, two dissociative disorders; alexithymia, since I was sexually abused when I was a child.

Now as an adult, fully aware of how wrong it was, it's very impactful. It changes your life.

I got inspired by some real life events to create this story about  a man who realises the wrong someone is doing to him; and coping with that is very difficult.

You have to learn how to forgive yourself because the shame and the blame that you carry afterwards is exhausting and dangerous.

This man saw war and the people he cared for are not the same anymore. The way they coped with it is affecting others and in this case, affecting The Crow.

So: 😖 awwn I'm so sorry  about that. I admire you even more for this.😥

MF: Thank you. I would like to inspire people to be strong and to learn forgiveness and strength.

MF: Thank you.

So: Who's your favorite character (s)?

MF: That's a hard question. I like Ayame because I wish I had a bit of his confidence.

I also like Dalia because I like how she's not afraid to speak her mind.

But I love The Crow because he's a sensitive and kind man. However there is one more character who I have not yet introduced but he's going to come up at the end of this arc that I'm currently updating.

I love writing him. Although I have a hard time writing him because he's a very complex character (in my opinion) but his dialogue, his mannerism, the way he walks and the way he sees the world; is just breathtaking for me. I love him very much. I'm so excited to introduce him.😁

So: 😏 I should add him up to my list of hot boys to claim

Li: Oh please!🙄

So: You're just jealous Lilly. I can't wait to meet this character you speak of.😜

About Ayame, that guy gets me every time. He's so funny and full of himself. I can't help but ask, is there an Ayame in your life?

MF: 🤣🤣 There is! She's one of my friends! She's something🤦🏽‍♀️.

The way she speaks and the way she does them inspired me to write Ayame. The way Ayame flips his hair back and the way he suddenly twirls or sing opera songs, are some of the things I have seen my friend constantly do. It's hilarious😂

So: Now, that your friend is something else and I already like her! 😋🤣

The fact that Ayame sings Opera (especially when killing an Ordinary man) is funny and weird!

But we can't deny he's handsome😏 Does he have a girlfriend? He's just too handsome!😭

Li: 😈 He can never be yours! Like I said earlier, No Peace For The Wicked!

So: Haha! Very funny!😒

MF: 😂😂😂
I should probably ask my other friend to draw that scene where he's singing an Opera song, haha. He's a very handsome fellow, yes.

I think right now, he loves himself too much to love someone else.🤓

(Lilly laughs mockingly at Sophie)

So: (Stares at Lilly for a long while before looking away🙄)
For someone like Ayame, I'm not surprised.

Someone who lied about being too perfect to poop!🤣🤣🤣

Lilly once said pretty girls don't poop!😬 So she doesn't poop!🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣

Li: I'm too pretty to poop! (Flips her hair sexily)💆💃

MF: 😂😂😂
Yep! He doesn't like imperfection. But that's what ironically makes him imperfect. Haha!

So: Next to Ayame, I love Dalia. She's so fearless! Yet she has to go through so much pain.😞

How could she and The Crow be in a relationship for THREE YEARS WITHOUT TOUCHING EACH OTHER??!!!!!😱😱

MF: I love her, I have so much fun writing her because she's so sarcastic but she's a very sharp person. Dalia has a talent for reading people.

I wish I could go into details, but I will spoil it. There's a reason why they haven't touched each other but I can't say it.

I can definitely say that she loves the Crow. They love each other.

So: Yeah, she's so great and I know they love each other, but why???????😫😫😫😫

I won't even call their relationship a relationship! Not even a relation-boat but a relation-canoe! 😣😣

MF: Hahaha, I apparently am evil towards my character.😈

Oops! XD

So: You've definitely been taking Evil Course 101😖😖

If I was Dalia, I'd kidnap him and touch him!😈 Especially his hair! That boy has pretty hair!😁

Is it just me or it's really getting hot in here?💥💥💥

Li: So it's all the pretty boys you want to claim? How pathetic puny human child!😒

MF: 🤣🤣🤣 He does have pretty hair!! I'm pretty sure Dalia has thought of that before. I think you're gonna love him in the next chapters. Because *cough cough*

So: Hahaha! *Gives MF a knowing smile* I get what you were about to say.😋😏

Li: What's going on here? What was she about to say? Why am I being left out of this secret? Let me in!😤😤

MF: 😂😂😂

So: Why does the Crow find it so hard to eat? I get that he doesn't have to eat but he's loosing weight!😭😭

MF: It's a sign of depression unfortunately.

So: Ooooh, he's heartbroken. He's even getting dark circles. He claims he can't get sick because he's a healer yet he looks sick!

Dalia is his only cure.😥😥😞😞

MF: Yep. He can heal all physical wounds but not the psychological ones, unfortunately.

He can heal his body but it will turn back to its poor state.

So: The poor boy. I feel for him😞
Who is your least favorite character?

MF: Surprisingly, it's not the Queen. It's another character that hasn't yet been introduced. I just dislike him, I think people might hate the character more than the Queen.

So: The fate of being hated by your creator. That character has it bad for him. 😺

I had a feeling you won't hate the Queen. You keep protecting her. But I can't help it! She's the greatest villain in Dalia and The Crow's love story! One of the reasons they haven't touched for years!😫

MF: Hahaha, yes I understand the things she does are cruel but at the same time, I can't truly hate her either.

She's definitely their villian, I can see why people dislike her, even Dalia hates the Queen because of it. XD and she's not afraid to say it.😂

I like to believe that the Queen is a complex character.

So: This is the part where I bribe you into killing her for me. I'm willing to let you give her a less painful death since she did some good in the past, setting the Shapeshifters, her people, free.

So maybe one of Emma's trial and failed poisoning on her will suffice. This time please, keep The Crow away from healing her.

He's just too nice, I mean the woman emotionally and physically abuses him yet he still comes back to heal her! Poison her!!😤😤😤

MF: Hahaha, I understand you! Sometimes I'm like, "why does he always have to be so nice?"🤔

So: Yes! Does he?😭

What's your favorite scene so far?

MF: From the chapters I have updated, my favorite is the first encounter between The Crow and Dalia. I find it bittersweet lovely!❤️

So: Yeah, I loved that scene too, she showed him how fearless she is and told said the entire truth to his face! The truth hurts!😫

Li: Yes, the truth hurts, Sophie!😏

So: Heartbreaker!

Li: It still hurts, doesn't it?😈

So: Ignore her🙄😒

MF: 😂😂

Yeah, I also love how she touched his neck. That was the first and last time she touched him! I also just love the way they spoke to each other. There was something tragic about it, but at the same time, hopeful and lovely.❤️

So: True! I also enjoyed Ayame scenes where he boasted about his beauty.

As well as the scene where little Squeal said he was so lonely that he made friends with a fork, named it even and then ate it!😭😂😂😂😂

Why does he eat anything? From food in garbage cans to newspapers!🤦🏽‍♀️

Li: Whhhaaaat!?🤔

MF:  He has a disorder called "Pica," which involves eating things that are not considered food.

And yes, I also enjoy Ayame scenes where it's all about his beauty XD

So: Oh I see, that explains why he eats anything. Even rotten banana peels😂

What's your least favorite scene or even hardest scene to write so far?

MF: As you are aware, Crow's "happy place" was taken away. So in the upcoming chapters, there's going to be a very dark scene that was hard for me to write but it was necessary for the story to be pushed forward.

Li: Did somebody say dark?❤️ My kinda scenes😈😈

So: My kinda scene too😂 I can't wait to read them. I love how you explain The Crow's emotions.

MF:  Awe, thank you! That means a lot.

Why doesn't the Queen want The Crow to heal the King?

MF: That's going to be revealed very soon actually.

MF: 😂😂

So: What are the bluestones? For some reason, they were so precious in the past, when Shapeshifters were still slaves to Ordinary people.

MF: Ah! That's part of the back story. It's a bit similar to how people went to California (U.S) looking for gold. Essentially, these bluestones were like gold and the Ordinary wanted them.

It had quite an impact on the lives of Shapeshifters since they were the ones sent to get them and unfortunately, many died.

But the Ordinary didn't care about lives, they cared about money.

So: I see. . . A moment of silence for the ones lost for the Ordinary's greediness.

So: I like Emma alot. She's like a mother to The Crow. She cares so much that she even had a dream about marrying him to a stuffed panda😂😂😂 it's so sweet and sad at the same time.

MF: Oh yes! She's a lovely woman. She does whatever she can to protect him. Unfortunately, there's only so much she can do. But that doesn't stop her from lecturing him! 😂😂

So: Go Emma! At least the lectures are helping!❤️
