Today, I have with me, the beautiful Mystic_Whisperer, author of "Rose".

Let me drop an excerpt from the book;

I am not a Vampire. . .

I am sure you guys are already feeling the heat!💥

So, Mystic, what is 'Rose' really about?

Mys: My novel "Rose" is about a mysterious girl who enters a spooky town known as Scarenville. Over there she finds out that it is a town filled with mystical creatures starting from Vampires!💀

Li: Getting into a new place is always weird, now finding out your neighbour might be a vampire is. . .Wonderful!🤗

Sophie: Blood Suckers!😒

Li: Ignore the little lady;😊
So what inspired this plot?

Mys: It was actually a dream tbh.
I had this weird dream which didn't make any sense. So I  decided to add some sense in it and turn it to a book!
So basically my novel is a modified version of my dream,😁

Li: Finally, someone that gets inspired by their dreams. I love you Mystic!😚

Sophie: Weird people!😒

Li: Let me quickly ask this fun question;
Have you ever taken a cab, only to discover your money is missing?

Mys: 😂no!
But a similar incident had happened when I was at a mall with a friend and realised I had mistaken my cash and had got only a few dollars.

Li: That is always a nightmare, especially if some cute guy like Damien is in the vicinity.😣

Mys: LoL, Yesss!😆

Li: Speaking of the guy, tell me how did you cook such a sweet golden eyed boy up?😍

Sophie: That question arrangement doesn't even make any sense!🙄

Li: Shut up! She gets what I mean😊

Mys: 😂😂
I kinda just spinned off my mystery wheel and wrote random qualities and later matched the results up. And that's how I made Damien.

The golden eyes were the first result which came from the spinning wheel, though, I explain his eyes pretty often, 😆

Li: Ooh yes, you do!😁
Did you create Rose in the same manner? I mean by spinning your mystery wheel?

Mys: Nope. Rose was just made from a silly weird dream I had,☺

Li: 😊, was it the same dream that you got the plot from or a second episode of the dream?

Mys: The same dream that brought the plot.

Li: Ah! No episodes then!
You know sometimes, dreams come in series and episodes.😂😂😂

Anyway, who is your favourite character?

Mys: My favourite character is Amora...

Li: Amora?😲 Old lady that grows younger instead of older?😮 That Amora?😲😲

Mys: Yup! Not the protagonist and not Damien.🙃

Li: Funny that you chose her over Rose but yeah Amora is mysterious and I love her too.
How does she do that age change thing?🤔
A more proper question, what is she?

Mys: Hmm. . . that's a secret!😉
Only time will tell who she really is. . . or perhaps should I say, 'Read more to find out'? 😆

Li: I'll settle for the secret.🤐

So why is she your favourite?

Mys: Hmm.. Because she is probably the most non-cliché and mysterious character in 'Rose'. Even though some parts about who and what she is gets answered in the story, there'd still be some unanswered questions about her.

Li: Hmm. . okay..
Who is your least favourite character?

Mys: Probably those annoying students who stare at Rose creepily everytime she enters Scarenville highschool,😁

Li: What was your favourite moment/scene?

Mys: My favourite scene was when Rose first met Damien. It was pretty cool and romantic😍

Li: Huuuu! Okay, what was your least favourite moment/scene?

Mys: My least favourite scenes are probably the ones I am currently writing.

Li: Oh, why is that?🤔

Mys: For some reason, I always hate what I write but when I read it I am just like '😊 this is good' 😆
I am a weird person😁

Sophie: I knew it!😵
Weird people!😡

Li: That makes two of us! I never like my own books until I read it a couple of months later and I go 'This is so good! Did I write this?' And then the draft ends and I go, 'Where is the next update!' 😂😂

And ignore Sophie, she is an anti-vampire, so today isn't her day!

Now let's be detectives; who killed that poor driver?

Mys: Okay, so the driver was killed by a random vampire who was just.. . you know blood thirsty 😊

Sophie: Blood suckers!😡

Li: But Rose somehow believed Damien did it. . .

Mys: Rose did doubt Damien for killing her driver but he didn't do it.
It's later cleared in the upcoming chapters.

Sophie: The both of you are throwing in spoilers, you know that right??!

Li: I know Damien didn't kill him, but does he really eat people, like the cafeteria lady said?

Sophie: ❌❌❌❌❌❌

Mys: Okay, so to answer that, Damien doesn't exactly eat people though he does drink animals' blood only since. . .

Sophie: THAT'S ENOUGH!😠😠

LI: Hahaha!😂😂

Why isn't Rose trying to escape from the vampires?

Mys: Hmm OK, so Rose did try escaping at first but Damien had caught her and being the smarty yet stupid person, she is curious about Scarenville and she needs or better yet, she 'wants' to find it's root before finally learning how to escape the vampires undetected.

Li: Study your enemy before making a move, that's what she is doing. Smart but risky.😎

Mys: Yeah🙂

Li: What do you think is the trickiest part about writing this story?

Mys: Hmmm, I think the trickiest part of writing this story is keeping things mysterious and romantic and not just get lost in the irrelevant fantasy scenes which makes no sense with the novel.

Li: Yeah.. So who is that character you don't really enjoy writing about?

Mys: Hmm, it's probably Damien.
Though I do love him— since he is one of the main characters in my novel— It's just kind of hard to make him different than other Vampires and at the same time, try to make it  non-cliché but still familiar to vampire traits.

I love my characters a lot but sometimes it's really hard to write a scene with Damien in it.
The fact that he is everywhere makes it a nightmare!😫

Li: 🙂, I can imagine your dilemma.

So, is there a character in 'Rose' that you feel connects more to your kind of person?

Mys: Hmm, remember the girl that showed up in my book for like thirty secs only to show Rose her locker and vanished?

Li: Yeah, I remember the red head.

Mys: Yea that's her. I am an introvert and to be honest, if anyone told me to show the lockers to a new kid, I would have done the same thing. Show the locker and vanish. Poof!😂😂

Li: 😂😂

Fun questions time;
why are most nerds or writers introverts?

Mys: Lol, I don't know.
I do try to be an extrovert but only end up turning things horrible.
😭😭 I think maybe it's a curse by some vampires or something😁

Li: lol, yup it's a curse 😂

If you were to wake up in a vamp world, werewolf world or Zombie, which would you pick?

Mys: Ayy, definitely a vamp world!

Li: Yessss! I've found another young vamp!👻👻

Mys: 😂😂

Li: What is that one message you want people to get after reading your book?

Mys: Mysteries better get solved soon!

They just have to read the book to understand it.
