Once colourful sky was beginning to fade into a black void, with animals returning to their shelter, birds wrapping up the dinner hiding in their nests, and insects beginning to chirp loudly unveiling their presence.

Just like the blank-dull atmosphere, there was dead silence between the trekkers.

Y/n and V were returning to mansion quite late. They have been walking mutely, a reserved silence between them. Completely opposite of earlier when they were going to lake, the silence now was uncomfortable and awkward.

After V had boldly confessed his feelings and intentions, flattening his chest a little light but ended up inflating the poor girl's burden. He maybe had revealed his desire but now it's like walking on thin ice.

Before, whatever he did, like lifting her bridal style or flirting a little seems innocent but now it draw a meaning and aim. It's like they were back to square one. Now he can't even look at her in eyes, feeling like a criminal, daring not to cross the boundary between them for the second time.

They halt in front of the main door for a second to gather their thoughts when V grabbed the handle and opened the door for her. A inner voice mocking him for starting his chivalry and courting without having her consent yet.

Soon, he entered and witnessed
Bangtan members excluding him were sitting in complete silence, which was very rare to begin with.

The boys were looking at each other, expressions' nervous and neck covered with excessive sweat, eyes anticipation of something or someone?

V had just taken a step towards couch, when a heavy hand grabbed him by shoulders, successfully emitting a girly shrill from him.

Turning back, he was met my an real female ikriyo, who was fuming in anger and trapped his head in a headlock.

"You! come with me " Lady Maria dragged V, tugging him despite his train of complaints and screeching, and not caring of his legs which barely were on ground.

"Ow ow ow" V winced and glared at his brothers and the rest of them looked down to escape from his wrath. If they don't see him and he won't hurt him right?

Soon the poor man got dragged in dark hallways against his will.

"What's going on?" Y/n asked confused and dumbfounded with the weird behaviour of Lady Maria and nonchalant behaviour of boys, not battling an eye for the assault done a second ago.

Lady Maria often scold them to keep their things in place and not to litter the floor, despite the employer-employee relationship, but Y/n didn't know that their bond was deeper like mother and sons.

"Nothing, he is just getting punished," Namjoon explained.

"But why?" she asked not finding any fault of the said person who was with her since day. When did he caused trouble?

"Oh, nothing just taking his daily dose" Jin said cooly hiding V's fault, not wanting to throw him under the bus in front of his crush.

Strangely thoughts of her brother came to her mind, suddenly missing her older, his warmth, the way he pat her back whenever she feel sad. He is the intelligent and sensible sibling between them, who would always give her courage and show her possible options but she was afraid to give a call to him about the current situation she was in, thinking that it would be breaking trust and sense of privacy between her and V.

V had trusted her with his feelings and emotions then who is she to announce this on public even if there was a lone audience- her brother.

That's why. Y/n sat quietly on the bed, contemplating on her own, mind going over the conversation that happened a while ago near the lake. She was sure that V was not joking as it was not a topic to be joke around.

She guessed or probably can confirm that everyone, including the maids, already knew about her damn crush on Taehyung as they always send a knowing look at her whenever she blabbering about him or sent him a text.

But how did V catch this feeling? It was barely one and a half month since she is staying here, not that she is doubting his feelings when she herself fell for Tae in months. It just that she never thought anyone would ever genuinely like her, confess their love or ask permission to court her.

She would get catcalls, teases but not a gentlemanly proposal since high school. Man she was missing a lot, guess she was not surrounded by gentlemen.

That's why her heart ache more for the seemingly innocent Mafia who was a true gentleman, daring not to hurt his feelings by rejecting him or lead him. If she hadn't given her heart to Taehyung and felt strong bond towards him then maybe she would have considered V's proposal.

She never had a problem with his job profile, it's just a business like how she works in a small café and doesn't want anyone to judge her or look down on her then why would she judge a Mafia. Yes, she should be afraid of him but with that kind and reasonable (dork) trait of him, she didn't feel the need to oblige.

But even thinking about V, she feels like betraying Taehyung. How could she ever think of giving a chance to someone else when Taehyung was reciprocating her flirting on the last call? She caught his coy behaviour and came to conclusion that Tae likes her.

One thing anyone should be scared of -is Women mind. They maybe thinks a lot, have overthinking behaviour but they have this so called six sense which can suspects anything. She had a hunch that Taehyung likes her but now she is certain.

She should clear this with V, not wanting to drag this matter or give the poor guy unnecessary lead.

"Why are you sad?" Jimin asked in worry noticing the dull mood of his soulmate who was pacing in the room for god knows how long.

"Did Lady Maria hurt you badly?" Jungkook asked trembling like leaves remembering his own punishments.

"Is your booty okay?" Jin asked the most logical question. What? Whooping asses are the most dangerous and powerful attribute.

Lady Maria is not your average maid but a black mid aged single woman, who's rich chocolate feature and curves can kill anyone, including V's business partner who always threw flirty gazes at her and she reciprocated with her own antics making the bangtan boys often threw up on carpet, because she's like a second mother to them and seeing her flirting is nasty af. But the power that woman possess and her chancla, the way she grabbed gang members in her choke hold and whoop their asses, are out of the mortal world.

"Mine hurted until next week when she kicked my ass because I teased Jimin hyung for being small" Jungkook confessed.

"Hahaha! that was hilarious" Jin rolled over the couch while laughing, reminscing how Jungkook was whining and could not put his bum on couch without screaming. He's butt had swell and could compete with Jimin's booty at that time.

"There is something more? Right V, or you would not reacted like this after your punishment?" Yoongi guess and was correct like always.

"Yes Hyung!" V agreed with him.

"Then what is it?" Jin asked while hiding from a angry snowball who was flexing his muscles, silently challenging, daring the handsome man to mock him again.

"I confessed to Y/n"

Dead silence

Pure dead silence

"Oh God, you are so stupid. I told you to not lead the poor girl as Taehyung"

"Will you just shut up and let me complete my sentence without any of you interrupting me every micro-second?

"Only dead cells come from your mouth" Jin commented. Instantly they heard a glock's safety on and Jin let out a nervous laugh backing away from V.

"I confessed to her as V"

"What?" They asked in confusion.

"Yes!"

"You are joking right?"

"Why would I?"

"Cause you don't have that much courage!"

"I don't know myself how that happened too, but I just did okay"

"And what did she said?" Namjoon asked when their overdramatic behaviour ceased.

"Did she slapped you?"

"Or kick you?"

"Or drowned you" V turned to Yoongi, shock adorned his face , thoughts of how the hell he know that they were at lake, who in return just shrugged smugly and said 'I know everything'

"Shut up! She didn't give me an answer there. So, we just walk back inside" said an irritated V, disbelieve on his eyes. How can they guess so poorly? Or was it their wish to see him getting rejected badly?

"You had given the poor girl some real headache. I mean she was happy with Taehyung and now you have dropped another bomb on her" Namjoon scolded.

"Weren't you the one who told him to do that?" Yoongi accused.

"I- yes but not like that"

"Then how? Tell me"

"I don't know okay"

"I know it's selfish of me to throw my feelings towards her and burden her but I just wanted a fair chance. It doesn't matter if she ends up rejecting me but at least I will have no regrets" Tae revealed.

Y/n who was standing silently like a statue, happens to listen beginning of the conversation, outside of the room.

She had came near V's room, to have a talk with him and successfully put a full stop over his feelings but stop her ministration to open the door when heard many voices coming from his room. She didn't mean to eavesdrop but after the mention of her name, she stops dead in her tracks. She instantly thought bad about the situation, mind already connecting wrong dots, and accusing V for pranking, fooling her and other boys have joined him to deceive her.

She was beginning to back away, fresh tears pooling her eyes, heart not believing that the boys could ever make fun of her, this way. Belittle her and craft a scheme to mock her.

She had the decency of not sharing V's feelings but here he was announcing about it to the boys. She respects their inseparable bond but something things should be deemed as private. She's not afraid of someone's feelings towards her but the thought of someone judging her, scare her. She is afraid that all of them will judge her, belittle her, call her names, label her as two timer. All of it happened once in past. How can she not fear that those things will happen in future. Once again, tears her innocent heart apart, make her anxious and afraid of surrounding, force her to use headphones to block all the gossips, bound her change the path, hide away from malicious stares.

She didn't have the heart to hear more or full conversation and strides away on heels, taking suffocating breathe, founding herself crumbling on her bed, not having any clue how did walk on the hallway steadily.

Hot tears escaped, trail over her delicate features which turned red and blemished. Did V scheme a plan to make fun of her? Were all the boys involved in setting her up to make her look like a two timer, a characterless who would charm away from anyone's offer and throw away her feelings and self-respect?

Maybe she misunderstood them.

They were really a Mafia who doesn't care about people's emotions and just play with them. She didn't see their deceiving personalities before but now it's clear as day.

Hey! Give your thoughts about this chapter. I know she misunderstood but don't we all come to conclusions before actually listening the whole matter. Don't go hard on her, she had already so much on her plate and hearing V telling the members about the conversation which should be kept private, she jumped to end. Things are spicy now.
