"Hope! Get down here! I need to talk to you about something!" Dre calls up.

"One minute!" I call back to him. Since I was six, Andrew or Dre has taken care of me when my parents abandoned me because I accidentally unleashed my powers. I can set anything on fire with my mind and I can hold fire and eat fire. I can also blend into the shadows and do the same thing with the shadows as I can do with fire. I can also move things with my mind but it is very hard and takes a lot of concentration. My final ability is reading minds and telepathy but nobody but me knows that as well as my telekinesis ability. I am in a gang and I was raised in this gang since I was abandoned. You might think gangs are all evil and use guns but not all of them are evil. All gangs are people with powers but somehow the world took gangs as evil organisations and that we will kill them easily so we let them keep thinking that we are evil.

I let my fire come burn my pyjama's I was just in and when the fire disappears, I am now in a new outfit. I am now wearing a black tank top with the words "Hate is Love" with a black jacket covering my arms. I am also wearing black ripped jeans and I slip on my black combat boots. My clothes theme is black as you can see from my attire. I can use my flames and shadows to change and create new clothes. I tie my waist length black hair in a pony tail and run out of my room. My hair use to be blond but when I first unleashed my powers, my hair turned black. I can also change my hair and eye colour but I rather don't.

"What's up Dre?" I ask once I come into the living room. My house is basically like a mansion and all of the other gang members live here. I am the only girl so it becomes annoying at times when my brothers hit on me. I am surprised I haven't seen any of them yet.

"Morning Hope." Dre replies to me. Dre is 31 years old yet he looks around 20. He has short brown hair and blue eyes. He is like my father and has taken care for eleven years. "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" I ask. I'm a very curious girl.

"You, Luke and Jake are going to highschool" My eyes go wide. I don't know how to feel so I just stand there.

"Hey Boss Hey Hope." Luke comes in and walks in front of me and closes my mouth that I didn't realise fell open. "Don't wanna catch flies babe." Luke can control earth and grow plants.

"What do you mean I'm going to school!" I shout. I haven't been to a school in ages, I was always home schooled so this is news to me.

"Exactly what I said. You, Luke and Jake are going to school. Since you can control your powers now, you will be able to go to school. You need some friends other then the gang members. School starts tomorrow."

"But... Yes sir..." I was about to argue but when I looked at him, I changed my decision. He has the power to change peoples opinions and control others.

I go into the kitchen and pour myself some cereals then go back to my room and go onto my laptop and watch anime. After an hour, there is a knock on my door and Jake comes in. Jake has brown hair also and he can control water. "Hey little sis. How are you"

"Fine Jake. Did you want something?"

"Why would you think I need something?" He asks innocently.

"You never come into my room unless you need something Jay" I called him Jay when I first met him and I have always called him Jay since."

"I want you to practice with me. Even though I could always beat you at anything." He also has a big mouth for somebody who isn't even a year older than me.

"Wanna bet big boy? I can beat you any day."

"Your on!"

Me and Jay walk into the training room and get into out fighting positions across the room. The training room has anything you could ask for, even a gym in the corner. There is also a weapons rack on the wall with swords, guns and anything else you could think of. The training room is about the size of a ballroom.

"You ready princess?" Jay shouts to me.

"Ready when you are bro!" I reply and suddenly, a bubble of water comes straight at me and I blend into the shadows and appear up behind him and throw a fireball at him. He dodges it and keeps throwing bubbles at me. I read his mind and look at all of the plans he has made and dodge all of the directions he has thought of before throwing an attack at me. I know its cheating but we are allowed to use all of the powers we are given in our fights. Its also a good tactic to use since nobody knows I can read minds. When I look back into his mind, I see that he is going to shoot water at me from behind so I spin around and use my fire to evaporate the water that was seconds away from hitting me then backflip over the water ball he shot from behind me.

"This is getting boring so I will just finish this now" I say as I send shadows from my mouth to him and catch him off guard. He falls over unconscious and I run over to him and shake him. He suddenly jumps up and looks around him and his eyes lands on me.

"What was you saying about beating me earlier today?" I smirk at him and stand up then pull him up with me.

"You were just lucky. How did you even know about the water coming at you from behind? I made sure that it was hidden."

"Umm.... Im just good at that stuff?" I ask more than say.

"Are you hiding something sis?" He asks me. Im not exactly a good liar when it comes to my powers but I can lie about anything else.

"No why would you think that?" I ask him as I undo my hair and cover my hairclip with my fire and make it dissapear.

"If you say so" he replies.

"Well im gonna go back to watching my anime, talk to you soon Jay" I go on my tip-toes and kiss his cheek.

"Seeya at lunch." He hugs me and I a salute and walk back to my room. There are tons of people in our gang but they are always busy so the only one's I see are Dre, Luke and Jay.

"Hope! Dinner!" Dre shouts up. I take my headphones out and run downstairs. I'm about to sit down when Luke picks me up and puts me on his lap.

"Luke!" I try struggling out of his grip but he wont let go so I just give up and grab some food. I don't think he realised that he cant eat with me on his lap.

"You know you love sitting on my lap babe." He says as he tried to get some food but failing. "Wanna pass me some food?"

"Should of thought of that before you sat me on your lap" I reply as I stand up and sit on the seat next to him.

"Now my lap is cold" he complains as he starts eating his food.

"Want me to heat it up for ya?" I say as I hold out my hand and let a flame light up above my hand.

"No thanks..." he gulps and I laugh.

"So, who is excited for school tomorrow?" Dre asks us. Jake, who was quiet until now, looks at Dre confused.

"Who is going to school Andrew?" He asks while I hold my laughter in. He has dreaded the thought of school and was glad when we were home-schooled.

"Hope, Luke and you are Jake." Dre replies and continues to eat his dinner.

"WHAT!" he stands up and slams his hands onto the table.

"Sit down Jake" Dre tells him calmly.

"Why are we going to school? We are smart enough so that we dont need to go to school!" He starts walking over to Dre but i run over and try to hold him back but he throws me off of him and I fall back and hit my head on the edge of the table.

"Dre why do we need to go to school? ANSWER ME!" he yells at him, nobody paying attention to me on the floor with maybe a bleeding head from the hit. I hold Jay back from Dre and try getting up. That is when he turns around and sees me on the floor. I get up and touch the back of my head then look at my hand to see blood.

"Hope I am so sorry!" He starts to walk over to me but I disappear into my room and lock the door then look for my secret first aid kit I have in my room. I have a lot of secrets and secret spots. I walk into the bathroom and start washing my wound on my head and then start feeling dizzy so I hold onto the side of the sink while I put on a bandage. When I walk out of my bathroom, I see somebody sitting on my bed but before I can see who it is, everything falls back and the only thing I feel is being caught and picked up before I fall into the complete darkness.
