How the hell did it turn out like this?

I feel jealousy burn in my chest as I watch him whisper something into her ear and she gives him a look I've never even seen before.

She really loves him.

I wonder where he snatched her off to earlier.

Adeline...

She looks so good.

She's not just my kid sister's little friend anymore.

She's lost a lot of weight weight and her body is...

Fuck.

I can't stop looking.

And she has this glow on her face, probably from being married.

What I wouldn't do to make her mine and nobody else's.

How long have they known each other?

How long have they been married?

When, did they even get married?!

Did she ever even love me?

Of course she did!

But I had my chance and I fucked it up.

Her voice rips me out of my thoughts and I look up.

Everyone at the table turns their attention to her.

Two of my brothers Daniel and Mike, stare at her, with a lot of care, love and respect in their eyes.

They always considered her, along with the rest of my brothers as a little sister.

Well she was more than that to me.

Adeline smiles at Matéo.

"Guys, we have something to tell you" she says, holding her husband's hand.

He smiles adoringly at her, nearly making me scoff.

"We are really excited to say..."

"We are going to have a baby!"

Fuck.

The whole round bursts into excited chatter, everyone congratulating them and asking questions.

I need some air...

I can't be here, with all of them right now.

What have I done?

Fućk it, I need a drink.
