The past few weeks, Taehyung noticed that Jimin always makes him go inside the school first every morning.

And whenever they meet, he will act as if he was checking for any traces of people watching them.

He still hadn't talked to Jimin about it.

He really wanted to know the reason but he knows that Jimin will tell him willingly when he's ready.

And as for Jungkook, they've started to get closer as they talk to each other everyday.

Today, Jimin said that he's going to be doing something so he won't be joining Taehyung for lunch.

While Jungkook is probably eating lunch somewhere and he doesn't know where.

His train of thoughts were set aside when someone tapped his shoulder.

He was expecting either Jimin or Jungkook but was disappointed when he saw neither.

"Hi! My name's Yeri."

Taehyung just smiled in response.

He really wasn't in the mood right now.

"I noticed that you're alone so I wanted to invite you to our table if that's fine with you." The girl said.

Taehyung didn't want to be rude so he accepted the invite.

"Sure." He smiled.

"Let's go." Yeri said as she clinged at Taehyung.

Taehyung wanted to get out of her grip but, again, he didn't want to be rude.

When the table was in sight, he saw a familiar face sitting there as well.

"Taehyung, these are my friends. Seulgi, Wendy, Irene, and Joy."

Taehyung was only focused on the boy sitting in the middle of the girls.

"Oh, are you wondering who that is? That's nobody. He's just our lackey. He's nothing important."

He wanted to grab the boy's arm and get out of this place but he can't seem to do it.

"Come on sit. You can sit beside me."

Taehyung sat down.

But he still couldn't help but worry about the boy sitting in front of him.

He decided to talk to him through text.

Why are you here?

He heard a ping as the boy in front of him secretly looked down to his phone.

Kookie
You heard them...
I'm their lackey.

Why are you letting them treat you like this?

Jungkook was typing when he was interrupted by Joy.

"What are you doing loser?"

Jungkook flinched in his seat.

"N-Nothing."

"Stop being on your phone or you're going to get punished later."

"O-Okay."

Taehyung hated how the younger was getting treated.

He wants to get Jungkook out of here.

He needs to think of an excuse.

And then an idea popped on his head.

"Hey Yeri. Can I have a request?" Taehyung said while smiling flirtatiously, hoping that he would be able to trick the girl.

"What is it?"

"Can I borrow him for a second? I need something and I want him to get it for me."

Jungkook's eyes widen.

Is he one of them? Is he putting an act all along? Jungkook thought to himself.

"Sure. Do whatever you want."

"Thanks."

"Obey what he says or you'll be dead." Seulgi whispered in his ear.

Jungkook gulped and nodded.

"You." Taehyung turned to Jungkook with smirk.

"Come with me."

Jungkook followed the older out of the cafeteria.

They were now currently inside the gym, where they always hang out when they have the time to do so.

"H-Hyung. W-What did y-you want me to do?" Jungkook asked stuttering.

Taehyung chuckled.

"Don't be afraid of me Jungkook. I won't be doing anything to you." Taehyung laughed.

"Then why did you-?"

"Oh that? I just wanted to get you out of there."

"But why?"

"As I said before, I don't want seeing someone being treated like that. Especially if it's one of my friends."

"Thanks hyung."

"Just promise me to not let anyone, I mean anyone, treat you like that again. Okay?"

"I can't really promise that hyung."

"Just remember that I'll always be protecting you. Don't worry."

Jungkook smiled.

"Will you promise now?"

Jungkook nodded.

"Use your words."

"I promise hyung.

"Good. Now, how about we go to a café near the school away from those girls?"

Jungkook smiled his bunny smile.

"That would be nice."

"Let's go."

While waling to the gate, Jungkook was glancing left and right nervously.

The same thing Jimin does whenever they're together.

"What are you doing Kookie?"

Jungkook was caught off guard with the nickname and started blushing.

"It's nothing."

"No, I know something is up. Tell me."

"I was just making sure that no one can see us together. I don't want your image to be ruined. You seemed popular."

"Could it be the same reason Jimin is doing those things?" Taehyung thought.

"You don't need to do that. I don't care about what they say."

"But still hyung. You have a good reputation with the students here. And seeing me with you might ruin that."

"I already told you. I don't care about those things if it means I'll lose my friends." Taehyung said smiling.

"Okay then hyung."

"I need to talk to Jimin as soon as we get home. I need to find out what's happening." Taehyung thought.
