I am about to answer him when my phone rings. I pose and check on it to see that it's Dad.

« Ivy where are you? » he spits out barely containing his annoyance.

« Hi Dad! I am at Pete's grocery, be there in five » I answer him lying before my dad abruptly cuts the call. My dad hated unpunctual people, I was in for some big trouble.

« Kaiden can you give me a ride home like right now? » I call Kaiden panicked.

He turns to me assessing me,
« what's wrong?» He confusedly asks approaching me.

« I will explain later, just get the car keys please. » I say in a hurry going back to his room to put on my shoes. He follows behind me probably to look for his keys.
I look for my shoes all around not finding them.

« Here, wear these I will bring yours on Friday. » He hands me a pair of big slippers that looked like his.

« Thank you. » I take them from him putting them on and then we make our way to the parking lot.

« So, what's the rush? » He asks me starting the car.

« I forgot my family was coming over to my place. My dad just called asking me where I was.» I tell him absently scrolling down my numbers looking for Bella's number.
I wanted to tell her to go to the grocery and bring diner as soon as possible.

« SOS: Dad, Paul and the devil are home. Please go to the grocery and bring anything with chicken ASAP. » I quickly text her. She probably had plans with Dylan but I really needed her.
I and Bella called my sister the devil as an inside joke. I mean We literally hated each other and Bella didn't like her either. She used to blame me for mom's death when I was little saying that if I had checked on her earlier, I could have saved her from committing suicide. And I hated her for making me hate myself for that, all of this time.

« Earth to Ivy!» Kaiden says waving his finger in front of my face to get my attention.
« We are here. »

"Sorry, zoned out. Thank you for the ride." I tell him unbuckling the seat belt as I inspect for my Dad's car in the parking lot. I see them beside dad's car near the entrance staring at me in Kaiden's car.
My anxiety peeks at its highest.

"Hey, you got this, okay!" Kaiden reassures me touching my hand.

" Okay. Thank you again." I smile at him in recognition before I open the door and go out.
I find myself smiling when I see my brother come to me running.
We meet half way and he hugs me with a force, lifting me up. I start giggling in joy as he puts me down and starts smelling my hair.

« How I missed your smelly hair, stupid. » he says ruffling it.

« Yeah right. You love my hair's smell more than your girlfriend's. » I tease him making our way to Quinn and Dad.
I then hug Dad, squeezing him a bit longer not wanting to great the other bitch.
« Young lady, you know I hate when you lie?» Dad scolds me giving me a disapproving eye after releasing me.

« I am so sorry dad, there was traffic. I left Bella at the grocery, she will bring the dinner exactly the way you love it.» I answer giving him a sheepish look.
I then turn and give a small awkward side hug to Quinn out of politeness not even looking at her.

This was clearly not my day like at all.
