7:00 AM

"Lydia! Wake up! You've slept through your alarm!" My mother continuously knocks at my door, but my eyes were staring lifelessly at the ceiling.

I've gotten no sleep and I spent the entire night drowning in my thoughts.

I should've given myself at least an hour and a half to sleep. I feel like I could pass out anytime now.

"Lydia get up!" She continues to knock. "Don't make me come in there missy!"

Sure mom...

I don't want to go to school. I don't want to face Ari.

At this rate, I'll probably skip work as well.

Whatever, I won't be working for that much longer. And even if I get a new laptop, things between me and Theo will no longer be the same.

I groan and sit up, rubbing my eyes then I lay back down, ignoring the sound of my mom knocking on my door.

The knocking soon stops and the door creaks open. My mom slowly enters my room then sits on my bed looking at me sympathetically.

"Your chat with Arianna yesterday still bothering you?"

"Yeah..."

"You do know that you still have to go to school though right?"

"I don't want to mom,You're not forcing me. Besides, I can just ask my friends about what activities I missed."

"Mhm. No. You're still going."

"But mom!-"

"No buts. Now go take a shower and get changed. Or I'll take the money you've earned from you part time then." Her expression changes from sympathetic to slightly annoyed.

"Fine, take it. There's no use in it now!" I sit up once again and throw my arms into the air, and my mom's expression quickly softens.

That was 3 different moods within less than a minute, great job mom.

"Lydia..." My mom pauses. "Fine, take the day off. But only today, alright?" My mom tells me with reluctance in her voice.

One day is just enough. I can't miss too much or I'll ruin the 'good student' reputation I have. Not that it really matters to me-

"Yeah, Thanks mom..." I smile at her and give her a gentle hug, after that she exits my room, leaving me to go back to thinking.

Oh right, I should text my boss that I won't be present for today.

I grab my phone from the table beside my bed, unlocking it then texting my boss.

Big boss

Hey boss! I won't be able to attend work today since I'm feeling a little unwell :( :Me

After sending the message I turn my phone back off and set it down, knowing he'll probably respond after an hour or so.

Boss is really nice, so I'm sure he'll be alright with me missing a day.

The store doesn't get too many customers either.

I let out a big yawn and go back to laying down on my bed and staring at the ceiling. The tiredness is really starting to get to me.

Looks like I'll just sleep then and worry about everything else later.

5:00 PM

"Lydiaaa!"

I wake up to the sound of my mom knocking on my door once again, So I quickly get up from my bed and stretch my back, feeling somewhat dizzy.

Goodness, waking up at this kind of time feels horrible. I have a headache and I feel like I've woken up from a hibernation or something.

I pick up my phone to check the time, hoping it isn't past lunch.

"FIVE PM!?" I gasp then put my phone down and I dash out my room.

I can't believe I slept that long!

"Goodmorning Lydia!" My mom and dad greet me.

"It isn't even morning anymore!" I lament. "You could've woken me up mom!"

"Why you were so sound asleep though." She giggles. She was talking to me but her eyes were looking at something behind me.

"What are you giggling for?" I ask. My dad joins in and begins to laugh faintly.

"Hey Lydia."

T-theo!??

I bite my lip and hesitate to turn around and confirm the voice I just heard.

I must be imagining things, yeah!

Like why would Theo be at my place at a time like this?

And I'm a mess!

Ok think Lydia... The headache might just be making you hallucinate.

I finally turn around and see Theo standing a few meters away from me.

Well sh*t

"H-hey Theo..." I greet him awkwardly. "What are you doing at my place?"

"You texted me on your phone saying you needed to tell me something." Theo responds. "Did you not?"

"I was asleep this whole day..." I furrow my brows in confusion. "Mom!?"

"Yes Lydia?"

"You opened my phone didn't you!" I facepalmed and my mom giggled once again.

"Shush, go talk to him Lydia." My dad nudges me and gives me a wink, making me cringe.

I slowly walk over to Theo and motion him to take a seat.

Damn it mom! Why! Couldn't you have at least told me if you were going to invite him over so that I could fix myself!?

The two of us take a seat on the couch and look at each other for an awkward two seconds.

"Is this about Arianna?" He asks.

My heart began to race suddenly at the mention of her name.

It's beating so fast I swear he probably knows I'm nervous by now.

"Kind of?" I say with uncertainty. "Have you talked to her today?"

"Yeah, we spent lunch and recess together. She's actually really friendly." He smiles.

They spent lunch and recess together already. Ari really isn't holding back. The Thought made me feel an empty sadness and a pain as if something was poking at my chest.

Once again, I have a choice to make.

I either tell him the truth, or run away from it.

I either hand him over to Ari without a fight, or I confess and leave no regrets.

"N-nice..." I turn my head to look over at my parents, and the two give me a light nod.

That's it, I'm taking a leap of faith. Sorry Ari, but I'm not giving him away that easily.

"Theo..."

"Mhm?"

"I accidentally broke my computer a couple months back..."

"Oh noo! That's the worst!" Theo says sympathetically.

"And just before I broke it, the guy I liked confessed to me in divine spring."

Theo nods, silently listening to what I was saying.

"So he got left hanging... He isn't aware that all this time I've been crushing on him. He probably thinks I hate him or something."

"Poor dude, he probably feels the same way that I feel now... Left to wonder stuff like 'what was I to her?' But y'know Lydia, our stories are so alike it's kinda funny. " Theo laughed.

"Theo..."

"Mhm?"

"I'm angel."

Theo fiddles with his bangs that were covering his eyes, as if he was still processing what I just said.

"You're Angel?? As in WhatAnAngel?"

"Yes, Dread. It's me in the flesh."
