"Lydia get off the computer and study! I will not be tolerating this kind of behavior any longer."

The screen of my laptop suddenly shut down, and in front of my face was my mom's hand, hitting the power button of my laptop. In her other hand, she held a test paper. My previous math test.

"Mom!? What did you do that for!?" I growled at her.

She growled back and shoved the test paper in my face. "Are you not ashamed of yourself!? Look at this score!"

"Two mistakes mom. This test has TWO mistakes."

"I don't want to see anything other than a perfect score, Lydia." My mom storms out of the room.

Perfectionist. Why can't she just be proud of me.

I crumple the test paper into a ball and shoot it into the trashcan placed not too far away from me, then I reboot my laptop, log in, and hope that Dread didn't leave me behind.

I anxiously scroll down the list of my friends that are online, and a wave of relief hits me once I recieve an invite coming from Dread.

I let out a scoff and hit the sprint. The four of us quickly got through the first few waves of small mobs, then the first mini boss, and after a few more waves of smaller mobs, it began to grow a tad bit tougher.

Hehe, even though they always argue they still seem so sweet towards each other.

"AAaahk!" The sound of my character dying echoed out the speaker, making me mutter words of frustration. My character fainted. I dazed for a second and I got yeeted by that damned tiny mob.

Dread is so sweet huhu...

Peppermint, our beloved Cleric, casts a revive spell on me and I return to focusing on the battle.

"Die you horrid being, DIEEE!" I spam my attacks on the horrid being that thwacked me dead.

"Angel don't waste your attacks on the small mobs."

After many more revives, raging sessions, and team discussions, we finally made it to the boss.

the boss was a big hairy white Gorilla-Lion hybrid that was screaming like a dragon monkey and dancing around the crystal cave like a buffoon.

"Well... I don't know if I can take this seriously but- hahaha!!!"

And Dread took in a killer hit from the odd hybrid.

Oh wow. From 14000 HP to a great big 0. Impressive!

Pepper finally revives Dread, and the two boys charge into battle. Me and Pepper had to stay further away, since obviously a cleric doesn't yeet herself at a monster like a tank does. And I'm a mage, so I keep my distance for the long range attacks.

Dread and Cereal on the other hand, need to be near the monster. Dread is a swordsman, while Cereal is a tank.

"I'm going to use the meteor storm scroll guys. I need you two to back away."

The two follow my orders and head to the side, as I search my inventory for the scroll, then cast it above the boss.

Metorites showered down from the sky, destroying the cove's ceiling, then followed by meteors.

The shower lightly damaged the four of us, and brought the mob down to half it's full health.

"Got any other scrolls?"

"Well... Yeah, but I don't wanna waste them all on one boss you know! These babies aren't cheap!"

"She's right. Anyways, this shouldn't take too long."

Cereal dashes at the boss and does a whirlwind strike with his hammer, doing critical damage. Pepper reacts with a clapping hand emoji.

"Oh hey! Pepper! Let's combine our ulti's!"

PeppermintXO

"Right! Heh, why haven't we thought of that earlier?"

Cereal moves out of the way and I send Pepper a ready in 3 sticker.

The two of us wait anticipatingly for three seconds to pass, then at the same time, we both hit our ulti's. Causing a solar flare 100× more powerful than a usual solar flare to hit the boss, making it cry out in defeat and faint.

The rewards window pops up with three golden treasure chests. I click on the center chest without hesitation, and it opens revealing a long, thick light blue cloak with fluffy white edges and a black opal holding it closed at the center.

I click on it to check the stats.

Special: +5000 Resistance to Ice

"Oh heck yeah! A new pretty legendary to add to my collection~"

I exit the window and click on a happy face sticker.

Returning to lobby...

I stretch my arms and push my chair back and it rolls till it hits the bed. Then I take my phone which was sitting there filled with more unanswered messages, and finally I push myself back to my desk and check my messages while waiting for the lobby to load.

Two new messages coming from Ari...

I opened the picture and looked at it for a few seconds.

A flustered boy covering his rosy pink cheeks was obviously trying to hide himself from the camera.

His hands were so feminine.

His chestnut brown hair was brushed back, revealing big soft and hazel eyes.

I'd say that he is cute, but when I like someone, every other guy I see looks like a tree.

I wonder what Dread looks like though, hmm...

I put down my phone then look back at the computer.
