Your Greatest Desire
"Good morning Marvin. Have a nice nap?"
Marvin groggily cracked his eyes open to find himself hanging upside down dangling from a rope, his legs and arms tied together.
"Chase? What the hell do you want?!" Marvin snapped vehemently, Chase merely chuckling as he stepped out of the shadows of the room with a metal baseball bat in hand.
"It's not what I want, it's what you want." Chase countered, resting the baseball bat on the ground so he could lean on the end of the bat like a cane.
"Well what I want is for you to untie me and go the fuck away, but something tells me that that's not gonna happen." Marvin remarked wryly, tensing as Chase straightened up and rested the baseball bat against his shoulder.
"Ya know, I like you better than Henrik. Not only because you didn't lie to me, but also you've got a spine." Chase admitted as he circled around Marvin with his bat raised, the former magician bracing himself.
"Well, you soon won't."
Marvin sucked in a sharp breath as the bat made contact with his back, a loud crack echoing throughout the room.
The former magician bit his tongue to avoid crying out, refusing to give Chase the satisfaction of seeing him in pain despite the unbearable throbbing in his spine.
"Tell me, what do you really want?" Chase prompted calmly, circling around Marvin once more while smacking the bat in his hand.
"Power? Money?" Chase paused in front of Marvin, his pitch black eyes boring into the former magician's.
"Revenge?"
"Nah, I think I'm still pretty dead-set on having you untie me so I can go back home and-"
"And what? Henrik betrayed you, he lied to you so he could spend more time with Doctor Iplier! Are you really wanting to go back to him?" Chase interrupted fiercely, Marvin falling silent as conflicted thoughts whirled through his head.
"I love Henrik, but..." Marvin trailed off as tears welled up in his eyes, the image of Doctor Iplier and Henrik kissing burned into his mind.
"Trust me, I've been there done that. Stacy meant everything to me and I used to tear up just like you every time I thought of her. Now, I just laugh when I think of that bitch and how she's stuck with those bastard kids." Chase retorted, looking at the bat in his hands.
"How? How do I make the pain go away?" Marvin whispered pleadingly, Chase grinning as he lowered the bat and returned his attention to the former magician.
"Is that what you really want?" Chase prompted eagerly, prodding Marvin with the bat so he swayed back and forth slightly.
Marvin closed his eyes and let out a long shaky breath, the male opening his eyes as he finally answered confidently.
"Yes."
"Sam, find anything on the traffic cams yet?" Dean grunted from where he was sitting on the couch drinking coffee, rays of sunlight from the sunrise beaming into the house through the windows.
"No. Could you check on Henrik? He hasn't left his room yet, I'm not sure if he's still asleep or not." Sam replied, Dean nodding as he stood up and walked towards the German's bedroom.
Dean pressed his ear against the door to see if he could hear anything, the elder Winchester able to pick up faint whispers from inside.
"Doc?" Dean called out as he knocked on the door, stepping back as the door immediately swung open.
Schneep's hair was sticking up in various places and his blue eyes were bloodshot, dark bags visible underneath them that shifted as the German offered Dean a weary smile.
"Guten morgen." Schneep greeted Dean, stretching his arms above his head as he let out a long yawn.
"Hey, I heard talking in there. Who were you talking to?" Dean prompted, Schneep stepping aside to reveal Jameson sitting on the bed.
The ghost smiled as he waved at Dean, standing up before walking to stand next to the German in the doorway.
"Hey Dean, I think I got something!" Sam shouted from the living room, Schneep and Jameson following Dean.
"Check it out, remember that hero guy?" Sam prompted, Dean frowning in confusion as Sam held his phone up.
"How the hell did he get your number?" Dean questioned warily, a text on screen from Jackaboy.
"Dunno. Check it out, he mentioned something about this apartment building he's been scoping out, and get this. It's an abandoned apartment building, but he hears people talking inside." Sam stated, shutting off his phone.
"So? Squatters are not zhat uncommon in zhe area." Schneep interjected, Dean nodding in agreement.
"True, but Jackaboy saw someone that looked like Chase enter once, but they disappeared before Jackaboy could confront him." Sam explained.
"Zhen lets go stop zhat son of a bitch." Schneep growled as he stormed out the door, Sam and Dean exchanging look before following with Jameson in tow.
