Chapter Seventeen: "Bump in the night"
After dinner, Mark made sure the house was locked up before heading up to bed. Standing in the doorway, Mark watched Sean as he got ready bed. Sean removed all his clothes except for a pair of boxers. The boxers hung off Sean's slender hips since they were designed for the humans and not for the elven race, but the sight of it was appealing on him. It somehow made his long legs look strong and smooth. He couldn't help letting his mind drift to how soft his skin felt. How fragile he felt against him in the shower. Sean flipped the blanket back on the bed, then froze. His eyes taking in Mark uneasily. Giving Sean a small smile, Mark told him quietly. "I can sleep downstairs on the couch if you are uncomfortable with me sleeping with you." Snorting, Sean took a seat on the bed and mumbled out nervously. "I'm not afraid to sleep beside you, Mark. It's the other stuff that... has me shaking." Stepping in, Mark closed the door behind him, asking gently. "You don't want to?"
Sean scooted back to put his back against the headboard, before answering with a sigh. "No. I want to. I'm just worried that you won't like what... What I'm like in bed. I'm not the virgin you knew." Walking to his side of the bed, Mark tapped the oil lamp to turn it on and dimmed it to set the mood. Upon turning to face him, Mark told him lovingly. "And what are you like in bed, Sean?" Sean could only manage a shrug. Easing down onto the bed, Mark reached out slowly to stroke his fingers up the ridge of Sean's ear to the point. His heart swelling when Sean closed his eyes to enjoy it. Bringing his face close to his, Mark whispered to him. "I don't want to know what you are like in bed with them... All I want to know is what you are like... with me." Tilting his head, he lightly brushed his lips against Sean's. Spurring him to kiss him. The kiss started tender and grew in passion, until Mark's hand moved along the curves of Sean's bare side to his hip. His thumb stroking the hipbone he felt there.
Sean's wings twitched, but he refused to break the kiss. Allowing Mark to explore more. His fingers sliding under the fabric of his boxers to grab his ass cheek in his hand. Squeezing the flesh, until Sean shuddered and moaned into the kiss. His moan set Mark's blood on fire, his desire to hear more taking over. Pushing Sean's boxers down passed his ass, Mark leaned closer to get his arm over him better. His fingers easing up the creak of his ass to tease him and test Sean's resistance to him. Feeling his ass clench, he removed his fingers to simply pet Sean's smooth ass. Breaking the kiss, Mark brought his lips to Sean's neck to nuzzle him. Sean's arm curled around Mark's side, his light moans filling Mark's ears as he let his hand drift down between Sean's legs. Lifting a leg to lay over Mark's hip, Sean's hips bucked into his stroking hand. Licking Sean's ear, Mark whispered into it huskily. "You like this? You want more?" Sean whimpered, his fingers digging into Mark's side as he breathlessly panted out. "Oh, Mark... More. I want more."
Mark grinned, moving his fingers toward Sean's asshole. His middle finger circled the rim, until Sean started to plead out eagerly. "Mark... Don't be that guy... Don't tease me... Mar-" Before Sean could finish, Lulu's voice called out loudly. "MARK!" Sean jerked upright and Mark quickly slipped from the bed. Mark still had his clothes on, making it easy for him to rush from the room. Heading down the hallway, Mark just reached her door, when she came running out and into his arms. She nearly caused him to lose his balance. Kneeling, he asked her with concern. "What's wrong?" Lulu pointed back in her room, stammering out. "There is something in my room... It opened my window!" Pushing her behind himself, he got up and cautiously moved into the dark room. The room was small and had very little places for anyone to hide. Her only window was open, the white curtains billowing in the night breeze. Moving up to the window, he eased the curtain aside to peer out into the darkness. He could see nothing out there.
Her window was set do high up with nothing to hold onto though, that he wasn't sure if someone could get up here easily. In the hallway, Sean asked him a little on edge. "See anything?" Mark shook his head, using his tracker ability to try and scan for anything. Nothing showed up. Reaching out to grab the window, he jerked back as a menu came up and informed him. 'The window is set for a nine o'clock opening to allow fresh cool air into the home. Would you like to change this setting?' Sighing, Mark let his heart stop racing, before clicking yes and turning off the feature. Closing the window, he locked it up and told Sean over his shoulder. "It's alright. Just a feature of the house that I didn't know about. I fixed it and I'll check the other windows." Sean pulled the blanket tighter around himself, exhaling out. "Oh, thank goodness..." Lulu clung to Sean's side, mumbling out. "No one is there?" Mark nodded, calmly telling her. "It's just the house trying to let cold air in. I closed it. Nothing is getting in. I promise."
Lulu nodded, easing back into her room, but hugging herself wearily. Mark kissed Sean's cheek, starting to lead him back to their room, until Lulu rushed out and told him. "Listen! It's still here!" Mark listened but heard nothing. Sean gripped his arm then, telling him softly. "I hear it too. Something is tapping on something." Walking back into the room, he let Lulu point to where she and Sean heard it. Moving back to the window, Mark listened and both heard and saw the problem. Opening the window, Mark leaned out to snap the little branch off. Keeping it from tapping against the window. Upon closing it again, he asked them both. "Anything else?" Sean shook his head and Lulu reluctantly did too. Patting her head, he steered her to bed and told her sweetly. "There. It's safe. Close your eyes and go asleep. We've got a big day of fishing tomorrow. You want to be awake for that, don't ya?" She climbed into bed and Mark tucked her in. While Sean moved to the little tree on her dresser and used his light spell to make the little fake apples glow in different colors of the rainbow.
The colors casting the dark room in comforting soft lights. Even if Lulu could see in the dark better, he hoped the light would calm her. Since it calmed most kids that he knew. Lulu looked over the little tree with a smile that made him feel good, then he took Mark's hand and wished her goodnight. Just before he could get Mark out the door, Lulu asked in a hopeful voice. "Mark...? Could... Could you stay with me? Just for tonight. Please?" Mark gave Sean a look that made Sean snort. He could tell that Mark didn't want to stay. He wanted to continue to play with him. He wanted that too... but his heart went out to Lulu. Stepping up, he kissed Mark and told him in a suggestive whisper. "Maybe tomorrow. Goodnight, Mark." Turning on his heel, Sean started to walk away. Smirking wickedly as he let the blanket slide off his bare shoulders. He could hear Mark letting out a grumbling whine, but he didn't follow. Sean didn't like sleeping by himself, but he could hear Mark telling Lulu a story and it helped to calm him as well.
By morning, Sean got up and dressed. Then made his way downstairs to make breakfast and gathered up stuff for a picnic. Breakfast was mostly fruits since they hadn't really gotten their food situation set up yet. However, he liked it. When they didn't come down, Sean crept up the steps and peered into Lulu's room. The small twin bed was huge for Lulu but so tiny for a man like Mark. Mark was sleeping on his bicep, and Lulu was curled up in his other arm with a bunny doll between them. The sight made Sean blush. Did he look like when he slept in his arms? So small and fragile. Mark wasn't under the covers, but Lulu was. They both slept soundlessly and Sean wondered how long she had kept Mark up last night. Deciding not to wake them, he moved into the room only to close the curtain to keep the sun off them. Then slipped back out. He'd let them sleep. Heading outside, Sean checked on his fast growing garden. Then reluctantly went to check on the goat.
Billy, the goat, glared at him as he approached the little pen. Shocking his head, he mumbled out to himself. "Why couldn't she get a female goat... at least then I could milk it. But you... What am I supposed to do with you?" Billy didn't answer, he just continued to glare at him. Wedging himself inside the pen, Sean filled up his water and pulled out a bale of weeds that came with the little pen for the goat. While untying the bale of weeds to spread it in the trough for him, Billy let out a bay and rammed him in the ass. Sending Sean shoulder first into the prickly weeds with a yelp. Cursing wildly, Sean wiggled his way out, just for the goat to push him back in, nearly hitting him in the balls. Kicking out at the goat, Sean snapped out. "Away! You ungrateful arse! Hit me again and I'll cook ya!" Billy backed away from Sean's flailing legs, allowing him to get up. Backing toward the gate, Billy started to charge again, but Sean stopped him by yelling out. "Do it! I fuckin' dare ya! To think I used to feel sorry for the goats that got eaten by a bridge troll! Now I think he had the right fucking idea!"
Billy charged toward him, causing Sean to yelp and jump onto the gate. Only in his panic, his wings sprang out and he jumped higher than intended. Flipping over the gate top and nearly hitting the ground face first, but Mark's arms snatched him. Sean's wings fluttered wildly, making his hover for a few seconds, before he calmed enough that they let him settle on the ground properly. Chuckling, Mark asked him. "Having a rough morning, Sean?" Sean blew his bangs from his face, huffing out accusingly. "THAT is my problem. Mark, kill it and eat it!" Snorting, Mark walked up to the gate and itched Billy's head, telling Sean playfully. "You just don't like him because she named him Billy." Sean rolled his eyes, grumbling out. "Has nothing to do with that. He was trying to kill me." Mark easily pushed Billy away from the gate, then walked up to Sean. Looking him over, he carefully removed prickly weeds from his hair and told him sweetly. "He's a goat. They rub their heads on things. They buttheads to play and fight. If he wanted you dead, he wouldn't have waited for you to yell at him."
Sean rolled his eyes, wincing as some of the weeds cut his skin as he pulled them off. Mark kissed his cheek, turning Sean around to pull the others off as he said lovingly. "Leave him to me and Lulu. Ok?" Sean growled a little, then yelped as Mark pulled a thorn twig out of his shorts. Clutching his ass, Sean snapped out. "He's all yours. Fucking bastard..." Moving his hand, Mark eased up his loose shorts to expose his bare ass cheek. Sean bit his lip. He usually didn't go without boxers but he had today in case Mark had gotten up early and wanted to play with him in the garden. This hadn't been the plan. Mark grinned, he thumb tracing the bleeding cut as he told Sean. "Ah... Now I'm mad. He cut your fine ass." Sean tried to pull away, but Mark held him still and leaned in. His warm wet tongue sliding along the cut and flesh of his ass. The sensation made Sean shiver and squeal. Mark gave it a kiss, telling him in a lusty purr. "Maybe I should check the rest of you. Wanna go into Billy's stall and drop your-"
Mark was cut off then by Lulu, asking from the house door. "Is Sean ok? Did Billy hurt him?" Sean jerked from his dirty thoughts of Mark mounting him in the little barn. Petting his ass, Mark reluctantly got up and called out to her in return. "He's fine. Just some bruises." Fixing his shorts, Sean turned to face Mark, mumbling out. "Mark..." Mark grinned, kissing him before he could scold him for getting him all worked up. Upon breaking the kiss, Mark told him excitedly. "Let's go fishing." Sean rolled his eyes, shoving Mark away playfully. Mark headed toward the house, telling Lulu to get ready and Sean started to follow when he thought he saw a shadowy figure in the wood line. Doing a double take, he didn't see anyone but he could hear twigs snapping as something hurried away. The sound sent Sean's nerves on edge. Someone was watching them. To Be Continued...
