Chapter 7
David left around two in the morning with my onesie. That was around the time the music ended and random teenagers exited Evan's house and mindlessly wandered the neighborhood. Aunt Gemma never came home so she probably fell asleep at work or something and stayed there.
When David left, Evanee had cleaned up the food and drinks they had enjoyed. The only thing they did was talk or sing. Singing was an activity they both enjoyed and sometimes it was better than talking.
As the raven haired teenager woke up, she checked her twitter, which revealed nothing interesting. Then she checked her messages. The contact read Evan and she also found David's number on her phone, confused on to how it got there.
She had four unread messages; two from David, one from Evan, and one from Gemma.
David's texts just thanked her for the evening and reassuring her that he'd return the onesie at school. The text from Gemma stated that she was again sorry for abrupt departure, while Evan's was much different.
Evan
Morning ducky, can I cash in that favor you owe me?
Evanee still owed him for buying her personal items and ice cream. The text was sent around ten minutes ago, it being 7:45 now.
"Five hours of sleep," bitterly muttered Evanee.
Her aunt wouldn't be back home until ten at night like usual, which left her to make a crappy breakfast of burnt toast and scrambled eggs. By the time she finished eating and getting ready, it was 8:25.
Wanting to get over with repaying Evan, she walked to his houde and opened the unlocked door.
"What the motherfucking potatoes happened here?"
The house was trashed, majorly trashed to a point where it was just a giant dumpster. Bottles and cups littered the floor and furniture, everything reeked of cheap beer, and there was nobody in sight. There was one guy in the living room corner who looked absolutely shitfaced.
"Evan!"
Instead of the person she expected, Tyler stumbled out of the kitchen door and dropped wkth a thud.
Evanee rushed to him, clearing the debris on the closest couch and trying to pull Tyler on top of it. She placed him on his side in case he started to throw up so he wouldn't choke on it. After quickly examining him, she figured he would be fine.
Evan probably wanted her to help him clean the house when he had texted her and since he wasn't there, she began the cleaning herself.
First, she rummaged through the kitchen cupboards for large trash bags which wasn't difficult to find. She grabbed several and started to throw all the plastic red cups into one plastic bag and bottles in another. After that excruciating work, she checked upstairs and fortunately there wasn't a single mess, far different from the kitchen and living room.
There were also bottles of febreeze which she found in the bathroom along with a naked couple sleeping in the bathtub. She didn't bother waking them up, but had placed a towel over their genital areas.
After spraying a whole bottle of febreeze and carefully wiping any sticky surfaces on the couch and coffee table, the living room resembled its former slightly clean state.
Doing the same thing to the kitchen and finishing added another forty five minutes When everything was done, it was 10:00 and Evan was still missing. Tyler, on the other hand, woke up around 9:00 and had helped her clean after she gave him some water and advil located on the bathroom counter.
"I feel like crap," she and Tyler now were enjoying their rest on Evan's couches.
"You look like crap too."
"Says the dingus who passed out earlier and threw up while he was unconscious."
Tyler laughed and sighed. He also didn't know where Evan was. His black haired friend was there that morning before he passed out.
"So any reason why you came over to clean Evan's house other than the fact that you're in love with him?" Tyler asked.
"Get real dipshit. I got a text from him earlier asking for a favor. Nobody was here except you and the dude over there." Both of them glanced at the unmoving body in the opposite corner of the living room. "Figured the favor was cleaning this shithole and I'm sure he's fine.
"Evan or that guy?"
"They're probably both okay," Evanee said.
Tyler got up from the couch and stretched. It wasn't a massive deal but after the wild party they had last night, he couldn't really help but worry. Evan never drank as much as other people did so at least that gave Tyler some reassurance.
He took out his phone and texted Jonathan and David to come over to Evan's house. No doubt that Jonathan was hungover after the large amount of alcohol he consumed, which David took care of by driving him home.
The older boy coughed loudly to get Evanee's attention. "David and Jonathan are coming over to help look for Evan."
"Then I'm no longer needed here. See ya chump," Evanee rushed out of the newly cleaned house and back to her safe haven, passing out onto her bed from exhaustion caused by lack of sleep from only five hours of sleep and from two hours of cleaning.
As Evan's neighbor left, Tyler heard a car pull up out front. When he had checked outside the living room window, he saw that it was Jonathan and David. He opened the door for the two and explained Evan's disappearance.
David sighed, running his hand through his black hair. "He probably left with some girl last night. Calm your fucking tits," David complained.
"But I saw him this morning before I passed out."
"Wait. You passed out? When?" Jonathan asked, mildly concerned.
"I remember seeing Evan this morning and then passing out in the living room. Evan's girlfriend was here cause Evan had texted her about a favor. She thought that the favor was to help clean up and she found me, so she got me on the couch."
A tiny laugh escaped David. "You mean to tell us that Evanee, who's like half the size of you, carried you from there to here." The amateur singer pointed at the kitchen door and then to the couch.
"Yeah, now shut up and let me continue the fucking story." David raised his hands up in surrender. "Good. As I was saying, she brought me here and cleaned up the entire living room, which was complete shit before she got here by the way. And when I woke up, she got me some advil and I helped her clean up the rest of the kitchen. She left like ten minutes ago though."
"Long explanation for a short story, Tyler." Jonathan facepalmed. "If you saw Evan right before you passed out, he's probably in the house. And what the shit happened to him?"
The random guy in the corner of the living room was still motionless. Tyler shrugged and checked upstairs for Evan. Jonathan and David joined in on the hunt. It took a few minutes, but Jonathan found Evan in his bedroom closet, knocked and reeking of beer.
Tyler, being the strongest, carried Evan over his shoulder and into the living room where there was more space. While Jonathan and David tried different methods of waking Evan up, Tyler also grabbed the guy in the corner of the room and carried him onto the neighbor's front lawn, dashing back to the house.
Evan was awake when he got back. He was wet, along with the carpet surrounding him. With that, David was holding a large empty salad bowl with a smile on his face.
"What the fuck man?"
David shrugged, giving his best friend a soft whack on the head.
The water soaked his hair and clothes, making it a bit difficult to move but when he did, he noticed the obvious lack of trash and alcoholic odor.
"Are we at my house?"
"Yeah, you dipshit. Evanee came over and cleaned it up when you texted her this morning," Tyler explained.
"Oh, that wasn't what I had in mind." The three of his friends waited for him to continue. "Well, I was a bit drunk so..."
"Well, while you passed out in your closet, I passed out in the living room and your neighbor found me, cleaned your house, and made me realize you were missing."
Tyler seemed annoyed, but Evan could understand why. If Tyler had passed out in the living room, it was probably Evanee who helped him afterwards. He also knew it was probably a bit rude to ask for a stupid favor when he was drunk, resulting in Evanee cleaning the mess he had caused.
He wasn't the only one who was annoyed also. David and Jonathan looked equally pissed, mostly disappointed in David's case.
"We know you didn't mean it, but apologize," Jonathan said.
It surprised Evan to see his friends make him apologize to a random girl. He understood how David would, but Tyler was usually carefree about these things and Jonathan supported Evan with everything he did.
"I don't see why you're ganging up on me."
"If it wasn't for her, I could've choked on my own vomit, Evan. I know it didn't seem like much, but she could have potentially saved my life and she left exhausted when we were finished," Tyler was a bit more than annoyed now and Evan knew that he fucked up a bit.
"Sorry, Tyler." He scratched the back of his head and began to walk upstairs. "I'll go apologize after I change."
"Sure thing. I'm coming with you, gotta thank her anyways."
