         A SMALL, ROUND METAL BALL ROLLED IN BETWEEN THE FOUR, SUDDENLY EXPLODING. Everyone yelled, getting thrown from one another.

From the gaping hole in the ship emerged five bodies—the Guardians.

"THANOS!" Drax yelled, hurling his daggers at Stephen. Stephen jumped to his feet, drawing a shield to stop them from impaling him. Drax cried out again before Stephen jerked his shoulders, sending the cloak to wrap around his head.

"Come and get some, bitches!" Amber yelled, walking with long strides into the ship with her arms raised; a gun and dagger in hand. Lexi ran into the scene after, with Mantis by her side.

Quill took off into the air with Tony going after him. As Quill flew away from Tony, he launched a rocket at him, hitting near Quill. Quill crashed into Tony before landing back on the ground.

He laughed maniacally, holding up a device with a button. Tony looked down, seeing a triangular gadget on his chest. When Quill pushed the button, it electrified, drawing a connect to another piece that was stuck to the wall. Tony slammed into the wall, trying to detach from it.

Peter gasped suddenly, looking up to see a female with black eyes and antennas. Her antennas glowed brightly as she took small steps towards him. Peter quickly scrambled backwards. "Woah, woah, woah, woah! Please don't put your eggs in me!"

He fired multiple webs, slinging her up enough to make her fall. When Mantis fell, Lexi appeared behind her with an enraged expression. Peter gasped again.

"Don't worry, I got you Peter!" Lucy called, somersaulting over him and firing more webs at Lexi.

Lexi dodged most of them before getting her hands webbed together. She growled, trying to pull her hands apart. With one final jerk, they did and she lashed forward, pressing the blade of her dagger to Lucy's neck.

Peter's eyes widened. "Don't hurt her!"

"Oh yeah?" Lexi challenged, glaring at the boy. "One more move and she gets it!"

Quill swooped in, kicking Peter away. "Stay down, clown!"

Peter quickly recovered, jumping away with his spider legs. Quill continued to blast at Peter, but the teenager was too quick. Peter landed with his robotic legs, jumping towards Quill. Quill threw a device at Peter, that was a long electric robe. It wrapped around Peter, making him collapse to the ground.

"Die, Blanket of Death!" Drax growled, trying to pull the cloak off his face. Amber turned from her walking. When she neared, she knelt down. "What is that on your—"

Amber gasped, frozen in place. Snapping her head up, her eyes met with Stephen's. Stephen stared back with wide eyes.

When he moved forward towards her, she smiled, also walking forward. Stephen let down his shields, almost sighting in relief. "I-I thought you were dead."

She shook her head, flicking the tail of her braid behind her back. "No. Thor just took me along to help him with this mission. I was never gone."

They were a few feet apart, and when Stephen opened his mouth to speak again, Amber suddenly dove forward, grabbing Stephen by the waist and hauling him onto her shoulder.

Without another second, she slammed him into the ground. Stephen coughed, the air from his lungs being taken.

Tony finally detached from the wall, standing over Drax with a repulser aimed at his exposed face when the cloak returned to Stephen's shoulders.

Quill, now having Peter as hostage, aimed his gun at Peter's head.

"Peter!"

Both boys looked up at Amber. Amber waved her hand and Quill nodded, tossing her his spare gun. Amber aimed the gun at Stephen, who was kneeling with his hands held in surrender.

"Everybody stay where you are! Chill the F out!" Quill yelled, everyone stopping their fighting.

Mantis laid on the ground, webbed up; Lucy struggled as she was pinned again Lexi, who's knife threatening to kill her; Quill holding Peter as hostage; Amber keeping Stephen at gunpoint; and Tony standing over Drax with a repulser raised.

Quill's mask disappeared, showing his face. "I'm gonna ask you this one time. Where's Gamora?"

"Yeah, I'll do you one better—who's Gamora?!" Tony questioned, his mask retracting as well.

"I'll do you one better!" Drax exclaimed. "Why is Gamora?!"

"What about how is Gamora?" Lucy mumbled, wincing when the knife pressed harder against her throat.

"Tell me where the girl is, or I swear to you, I'm gonna french fry this little freak!" Quill threatened, pressing the tip of his gun harder against Peter's temple.

Tony, now angry, nodded. "Let's do it! You shoot my guy, I'll blast him! Let's go!"

Tony's repulser transformed into a larger, heavier gun. Drax nodded. "Do it, Quill! I can take it."

"No, Drax. You can't." Amber shook her head, craning her head to watch everybody. Stephen nodded, slowly rising to his feet. "She's right, you can't."

"Oh yeah? You don't wanna tell me where she is? That's fine! I'll kill all four of you, and I'll beat it out of Thanos myself!" Quill rambled, looking at Peter angrily. "Starting with you!"

Lucy shook her head, starting to squirm under Lexi. "Don't hurt him, you son of a bitch!"

"Wait, wh—Thanos? A-Alright, let me ask you this one time; what master do you serve?" Stephen asked with authority, leaning over to look at Quill. Quill's eyebrows furrowed as his eyes narrowed. "What master do I serve? What'm I supposed to say, Jesus?"

Tony's shoulders dropped. "You're from Earth."

"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri."

"Yeah, that's on Earth, dipshit!" Tony barked. "What're hassling on us for?"

"So you're not with Thanos?" Peter asked, his voice muffled. Quill's eyes narrowed further. "With Thanos? No..." his voice trailed off, sounding confused. "I'm here to kill Thanos. Wait, who are you?"

Peter's mask disappeared. "We're the Avengers, man."

"Officially!" Lucy added eagerly.

Quill sighed, letting go of Peter. After a minute moment, Lexi let go of Lucy.

Amber slowly smiled. "Wait, you're the Avengers?! No way! I haven't seen you guys in forever."

Mantis stood to her feet, still wrapped in webbing. "You're the ones Thor told us about."

Tony was vexed. "You know Thor?"

"Of course we know Thor!" Amber snapped, which to Stephen cocked an eyebrow at her quickness to reply.

"Yeah." Quill nodded after. "Tall guy, not that good looking—" Amber glared at Quill, Stephen noticing. "—needed saving along with Amber."

Stephen narrowed his eyes again, subconsciously stepping closer to Amber when she lowered her weapon. "You were in space?"

"For a short time, yeah." Amber nodded casually.

❝THE HELL HAPPENED TO THIS PLANET?❞ Quill asked when everyone was outside the Q-Ship. He held up a small glowing device, measuring the gravity. "It's eight degrees off its axis. Gravitational pull is all over the place."

"Yeah, we got one advantage; he's coming to us." Tony sighed, looking around the area. Behind him, Mantis bounced up and down as Peter and Lucy stared at her, almost wanting to join in. "We'll use it. All right, I have a plan."

Tony turned, making Lucy and Peter look at him. Quill squared his shoulders with Tony. "It's pretty simple. We draw him in, pin him down, get what we need. Definitely don't want to dance with this guy, we just want the gauntlet."

Tony looked at Drax to see him yawning while Mantis stared curiously at him. "Are you yawning? In the middle of this, while I'm trying to break it down? Did you hear what I said?"

"I stopped listening after you said that we need a plan." Drax replied.

"Okay," Tony looked back at Quill. "Mr. Clean's on his own page."

"See, not winging it isn't really what we do." Quill nodded.

Peter smirked, pointing at Drax. "What exactly is it that they do?"

"Kick names, take ass." Mantis replied, trying to be mysterious. Drax nodded, "Yeah, that's right."

Tony rolled his eyes before sighing in disappointment while Amber shot Drax a dirty look.
